Family Resort Urania

The location of the hotel within the town is excellent - 1 minute walking distance of a pebble beach. It is located slightly outside town, but the supermarket and restaurants are nonetheless within walking distance. The town of Baška Voda itself is located directly on the coast, ca. 1 hour from Split, and it is near many interesting towns and other recreational possibilities.Facilities were good (although "resort" may be too generous of a name for it). Our kids really enjoyed the large, modern playground and indoor playroom. The breakfast was good quality and choice, dinner was alright. The beds were very comfortable.Reception and restaurant staff were friendly. For our apartment, there was no housekeeping by default but it was no problem to request cleaning and bed linen change from reception and guests could get clean towels from a self service laundry service. There is a (paid) laundry service.

We stayed in a Premium apartment which looked quite modern, but it was noticeable that the apartments and the resort itself are older (uneven flooring, finicky doors and windows in the apartments; worn concrete on the premises and rusty handrailings on the stairs to the beach). There were hardly any possibilities to hang coats and wet towels in the apartment and even though the apartment was meant for 4 persons, there was only a sofa for 2 and one low table. This meant we could not comfortably sit down with the kids to play a game. The apartment was not completely clean. Upon arrival there was a used towel in the living room and we found laundry from the previous guests behind a sofa cushion. There was a lot of dirt under the beds (dust, sand, pebbles, used cotton swab...).The restaurant had major "government office canteen" vibes. The food was generally good, but the restaurant had 0% atmosphere and there was no hotel bar to have a drink in the evening. We stayed during the last week of the season and each day the hotel shut down a little more. On day 3 of our stay, the beach bar closed for the season (even though the weather was not that bad yet). On day 4, most the outdoor seating was removed. Breakfast and dinner buffet options grew more limited by the day.

It's easy to hear all the neighbors. When your neighbours turn on the light, it sounds like in your bathroom.The houses were fresh and good some time ago. Now they require a repair. The process is going on.Sometimes there is a queue to get food.

We had a great stay at Urania family Resort, plenty of great food, both breakfast and dinner, with a wide variety of dishes. Our Apartment seemed like it had been renovated recently and was super nice, modern and clean, with everything we needed.There are plenty of seating areas where you can chill in the shade under the big pine trees, if you don't want to be in the sun at the beach. The beach is great with crystal clear water, but sharp little stones, no sand, so swim shoes are a good investment. Possibility to rent jet ski, SUP etc...Laundry service costs a little extra, but good to have the possibility. It's only a few minutes walk into town, and there are many nice Beach bars on the way. All the staff was super helpful and friendly.

It would be nice if the hotel had their own umbrellas and sunbeds (renting them on the beach costs 20€ for one umbrella+2 beds).Please add a kitchen towel to the kitchen equipment.

Staff were extremely kind and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were magnificent. Parking and the accomodation in general are located next to the beach.

Accomodation was really dirty, we had house number 38, and the bathrooms were total disaster. We urge to the reception for the house cleaning while we are at the beach, and they cleaned it up, but still, there were so many ants around toillet seats.

I liked the food and the facilities for kids.

We received new apartments as a bonus. Surprise, great surprise. Place, quiet, ambient, good weather - perfect stay. Accommodation was excellent. Position of resort is great. Beach is just 20m away. Town is 100m away. Breakfast and diner were excellent prepared with great choice. Staff is one of the best we met on our trips. Helpful, smiley, ready for you. Thank you all for this relaxed days and nights. And yes, sunset is wonderful, and you can enjoy in it on restaurant terrace.

Great catering, really delicious food, variety of options to choose from, both for breakfast (07-10) and for late dinner (18-20). Location right by the sea, houses are covered by pines, there is a lot of shade. Very well equipped playground for kids (just for the resort guests). Pleasant beach 80 metres from the resort’s restaurant.

The houses were built decades ago, and although there have been some renovations - it is quite bad. The wooden floor was „renovated” with PVC floor covering on top, it creaks like hell. You can’t go to bathroom at night without waking your whole family. The bathroom is really repulsive, the water was leaking from the drain of one of the toilets making the smell unbearable.The indoor playground for kids (right beside the resort’s dining area) has a lot of mold on the walls, I think it’s not safe to spend time there

This place is great for a vacation with family (kids). Both outdoor and indoor playground were nice. Food is really great, especially dinner on barbecue night. Rooms are big, mine had 2 bathrooms, which is pretty great.

The only bad thing I could mention is Resort's location. It's a bit higher above the sea level, so you need to climb 3-4 flights of start on the way to the beach and back, and sometimes that's not fun with young kids.

It would be nicer if the dinner time would not last only for one hour between 18h to 19h. However, since we arrived slightly after that, the staff was really friendly and gave us a nice room upgrade. Everything else was above expectations, well done!

Small impractical bathroom.

The location next to a sandy beach is great. The food was good and the staff were helpful.

There are two types of bungalows and when you book mostly photos of the new ones are displayed. It is not clear at all what kind of property you are booking. When you are shown your bungalow you find yourself in front of a socialist era prefabricated little house. It is slightly refurbished to be fair, but still, it is tiny and when a person upstairs walks around you have a feeling he walks on your head. We only stayed overnight so there was no drama. But I can’t imagine booking this for an entire holiday. I recommend checking in advance what kind of facilty they are selling you.

We loved the amazing location and unique concept of the property. The friendly and fun staff made the experience even more enjoyable, and the food was simply delightful!

The rooms could use some updating to match the rest of the experience.

I booked this accomodation for my parents. Even thoug accomodation is outdated, it was prefectly clean and well equiped. They were very satisfied. Staff was very helpfull, polite and professional.

A beautiful, quiet place surrounded by a mountain. We watched the squirrels in the trees. The sea, restaurants and shops are nearby. In the restaurant, breakfast and dinner were very tasty, filling, with a wide selection. And what a fruit and dessert table!

There were no body and head wash products in the bathroom. Just soap. But we survived :)

We stayed at this hotel and were pleased with several aspects. The food was delicious, and the beach was just a few minutes’ walk away, which was very convenient. A highlight for us was the fact that on some days, the kids were entertained by an animator, which was a great bonus for our family.However, it’s important to note that if you want a comfortable stay, don’t book the cheapest rooms. We initially reserved a standard room, but it was in poor condition, so we upgraded to a renovated room, which was much more modern and comfortable. The kids were happy to have their own separate room.One downside was that room cleaning is only done upon request at the reception, which isn’t always convenient. There are safes, but in the renovated rooms, there was no instruction on how to use them, and when we asked at reception, we had to wait for a specialist, which we didn’t have time for.Overall, it’s a good choice for a seaside vacation, but we recommend booking the upgraded rooms for a more comfortable stay.

There was an unpleasant situation regarding the payment for the upgraded room. I was initially offered the upgraded room at one price, but upon checkout, the additional charge was 50 euros more than expected. Because of this, I can't give the highest rating as I would have liked, as this left a negative impression on an otherwise pleasant stay.

The property was a lot of fun. Good location and wonderful staff. There was a lot to do and the beach was lovely and clean.

It was often difficult to find somewhere to sit in order to eat, and the staff (who were very busy) were reluctant to help. It would have been better if they had a seating system as there were times where only 2 people were sitting at a table for 4!
