Baltic Zinnowitz - Hotel mit Meerwasserpool und Thermalbad

The location is excellent. The most winning feature is the Bernstein Therme, the Spa with the big "long distance" swimming pool and all the other spa aspects. All guests of the hotel have unlimieted access, though booking.com makes it look like one has to book a special combo of features to received it.That is not true, all guests have direct and multiple daily access.

The food (breakfast and dinner, even lunch on the special Christmas deal) is absolutely redundant, mostly prepared in most boring way or just wrong. For instance, bacon is to to be fired to be crisp which than needs to put "dried" and not being stored and served in a vat of fat and oil. Food is never labeled properly. No effort is made by the serving stuff. On the "special" Christmas meals, they couldn't even manage to serve the wine and beer. People lined up and picked it up at the bar. The whole Christmas food experience is not to be recommended. And the seating arrangements for the Holiday are the worst, forcing single people to sit on long tables. The dining area is also insultingly divided up. All in all, a very unpleasant experience.

Great location, right near the beach. Good food (breakfast & dinner). The attached pool facility is enormous and a great addition. Easy to reach by train.

It would be great if the hotel would offer secure luggage storage.

We enjoyed the stay a lot and especially with our dog. Everything was great. The location is perfect with the beach. And our daughter loved the pool with the slide. It was so much fun for her.

No games room, e.g. table tennis, air hockey etc. Signs for finding the sauna area were not good.

the room was clean and spacious. The pools are also large and good for children. Breakfast and dinner buffets are as expected, dessert section can be improved.

The elevator situation could have been better. Limited vegetarian options at the buffet on some days. We saw some silverfish at different locations in the hotel

The spacious set up of a 'former' grand hotel and the helpful staff, the possibility and suggestions to book excursions, the galerie with beautiful maritime pictures, the thermal pool,the direct entry way to the beach, only to mention a few. To have a complimentary water bottle in the room upon arrival and throughout the stay was excellent.

A water heater in the room to prep tea and / or coffee would have been helpful. When you don't eat breakfast and just want a cup of coffee, the service personnel acts irritated, though remains friendly and helpful, price for a cup of coffee is rather steep.

The only 'late' dinner option front 1900 - 2015The "dance bar" music consisted of one elderly gentleman on a guitar who may once have been good but they would be better to have music machine or karaoke.

Location , Breakfast and SPA

I had a wonderful time with my daughter and granddaughter. The hotel offered so much activity and the beach is right there too. Close to the DB and easy to get to. Food good! Personnel friendly.

The South facing rooms were very warm even st night. No airconditioning.

We've liked the à la carte restaurant Gynt's very much. Not only for the quality of their food but even so for the kindness and helpfulness of the staff. Quite the opposite of the desk office lady. She can certainly learn from these people how to conduct business in a proper and fluid manner.

We've paid a surcharge for seaview. Being on the 3rd floor you have the entire treeline in sight with a very small view of the sea (see annexed photograph). This is a rip off. Credit note would be in order. The hotel clean as it might be, is not that modern. I think I've paid too much for less value. Not even to mention if I would have booked a second day, prices would have gone up to € 260 a night for the same room with breakfast which is completely off the mark. For that amount I reserve far better hotels.Extra tip for the hotel: they have moved their lobby to the 1st floor which is a kind of a pity there the initial lobby is still present at the main floor and which shows a lot more grandeur. On the site of it you have the e-check in, which stands completely lost at the window and therefore less noticeable for the customers. Some of them did not even know of its existence. English language is poorly spoken by the staff which is a pity. Desk office people and especially the tall all young lady should be better trained in friendlyness, customer orientation. I've missed the international touch a big hotel should have. Bathroom is clean though old fashioned.

Check in was the worst I have ever experienced. the lady at the reception didn't want to check me in half an hour before the time. And there was no discussion, despite the fact that I have a 3-month baby. when i came back at 4pm there were at least 20 people there. I have never experienced something like that. It was a disaster. WiFi in the room doesn't work. Couldn't regulate the temperature in the room for my baby. Plus other things.

- A fan in the room could be a nice addition (warm weather + no A/C or ventilation)- Long queues at reception during check-in/check-out time- No way to opt out of the dinner option for the only room category that we could book (we did not use the dinner and would have preferred a discounted price on the room)

Location and pools.

We had booked three rooms for family and friends. Rooms are small and have the feel of hostel rooms: no water kettle, fridge, or coffee maker. Slow elevator, so we got used to taking the stairs. We heard the neighbor’s TV from 6:30 in the morning. The waiting lines for the prepaid breakfast were 45 minutes, so we skipped that and went into town each morning. They punished us for booking through Booking.com by refusing to remove the half-board we accidentally booked for our son’s room. The hotel has no A/C but could not provide any fans either during a heat wave over 30 C. So we had to keep the windows open at all times, letting us hear the drunks walking by on the public promenade. All restrooms are locked, and you are out of luck if you forgot your room key. The staff was hit and miss, some being really lovely and others being outright mean, like the gentleman who suggested our son should eat alone. The overall value was horrible, and we will not stay there again.
