    Pros +

    • Our upgraded castle view room was superb.
    • Its proximity to the Chateau
    • Door man came out to help unload luggages. Welcome drink is the plus.

    Cons -

    • The first room was advertised as a river view. Yes, there was a river. But the view was mostly large green trees. A little misleading description. This room is tight. The shower was very small. Overall adequate. Just a better experience when upgraded.
    • Room was small and without an outlook
    • According to the conversation they said they will give the tickets for the Chambord castle. We got all tickets when we checked in without mentioning we need pay for them. We all thought that was the hotel’s benefit. In the end at the checkout time they charged those tickets…

The perfect location to stay for visiting Chambord, you literally step on the castle land after coming out of this hotel. The staff are all very courteous and polite, the hotel is in a unique artistic style with stunning views and very clean room. We enjoyed the welcome chocolate balls and drink, loved the tapas from the bar and the complimentary 1-hr sauna and outdoor jacuzzi.

It’s a bit too pricey, and I wish the room would be bigger.

The exceptional service was provided by everyone, from the reception to the bar, restaurant, and concierge. All the staff were friendly, polite, and very helpful. Though we arrived late in the evening shortly before the restaurant closed its kitchen, their grace and our friendly approach convinced them to squeeze us in for a final meal, and we enjoyed a fabulous cheese platter and dinner on the patio.

Favorably, parking was ultimately easy to access and convenient. That said, GPS didn't route properly and it seemed that (at the time) the signage or instructions could have been more helpful at leading us in.

Perfect location on the grounds of the Chateau. Dinner and drinks served overlooking the Chateau - wonderful

Room was very comfortable. Beautiful views from the outdoor dining room. Food was delicious.

Unfortunately the safe didn’t work. They promised to fix it the next morning. When that didn’t happen they offered to put my jewelry in the drawer of the reception desk….The service was underwhelming. There were over €200 of incorrect charges on the bill. Same thing happened to the woman before me.

Lovely location. Very safe and accommodating for Single woman traveling solo. Secure parking and private check in.

    Position. Clean

No Smart tv, pay tv, very small spa area , unresponsive staff, restaurant only offered brunch on Sunday

Within steps of the Chateau de Chambord. staff service was very good from check in , bar service , wait staff, valet parking

The smallest room I have ever stayed at. It was uncomfortable for 2 people to be in the room

As an up market hotel it certainly lives up to its reputation. The restaurant was fabulous. Its proximity to the castle and surrounds was a bonus. The facilities and the size of the room was pleasurable.

Proximity to Chateau Chambord. We were provided with complimentary water on daily basis and the room was equipped with basic amenities. I had the river view which was very nice.

A store to purchase food items considering the hotel is far from civilization!

The hotel has lost much of it ramshackle charm from when it was a real hunting lodge hotel some decades back. But the staff is super nice, and there is a very clear comfort level that is well appreciated.

What got lost in the renovation is the incredible restaurant that was there with an in-season game menu that was brilliantly good. The restaurant now was extremely uninspiring and has completely lost its connection to the historical hunting grounds it stands on.

Very bad experience! Très mauvaise expérience. 3 incidents that made me very unhappy ! Triple déception.Avoid this hotel. Seriously!???

Bad local beer, served! My coat got "lost" and personnel told me it was me being a lier! My complaint was not taken seriously. Parking for the car too expensive: I call it abuse!

We had an exceptional stay. The accommodation was lovely, the location amazing and food and rink exceptional. The staff were lovely to deal with and nothing was an issue. We had a sick member of the family and the staff were very accommodating and helpful.

The location (right next to the Chateau de Chambord) in a wonderful estate setting, the facilities, hotel and room were fantastic. The staff and service was also very good and friendly. We had dinner at the hotel restuarant, which was exceptional.

the restaurant is way overpriced for the service and quality of food delivered

Fantastic stop-over in the Loire region . A ‘must’ if you seek to visit the Chambord Castle, only 100 m away from the hotel. Very confortable hotel, almost new, but not luxurious. Very friendly and professional staff.

Best to have a room facing the castle or the river (ours did not).

    10AlysiaPosted on: 1-5-2025

Location was excellent to tour the chateau. Staff were absolutely outstanding--welcoming, friendly, went above and beyond. Met us outside when we drove up. Had a nice massage in the spa. Restaurant was wonderful, gourmet food, great bar.

We liked it all. The rooms are very nice, new, modern, and comfortable, just anticipate they are on the smaller side. Plenty of space for luggage and sit down, you won't be in there all that much. This is a built hotel, not part of a historic building that was renovated.
