    Pros +

    • Ajda is a really nice hotel with great SPA area. It is located in a rural area, surrounded by hiking roads, which makes it convenient for a relaxing vacation there. The room (suite) was spacious and really confortable for our family, The variety of dishes in the restaurant is really good and they all taste excellent. The staff is nice and helpful. We never had an actual issue that needed resolving.
    • -The rooms were clean, and the view from them was gorgeous-The staff were super friendly and helped with anything we needed-The food was delicious-The water in the water parks was warm and super clean-There was music outside one night playing and it was fun to go out and listen to it
    • It was very clean, and it was easy to access the facilities.

    Cons -

    • As not only hotel guests are using the restaurant, it comes to queues and you have to really wait to get a table. The restaurant is not optimized/planned for such a traffic and there are queues when waiting to get food.
    • They weren't very good at accommodating a gluten allergy, and the first night it was very poor. The service from the front desk at night is not so great. The day staff are wonderful, and on the second night, they did improve their performance. I would say they have a great deal of room for improvement, especially with the gluten-free bread.
    • We did not get to enjoy the renovated facilities yet, so the rooms felt a bit outdated. Very clean tho and very suitable for our needs. Bed was a standard twin bed which felt a little bit small for two people and the other side of the bed lacked a power outlet, which was inconvenient but not critical.

The pools were amazing. I also loved that you could pay with your hotel key card around the resort so you could leave all valuables in your room for the day. The breakfast had a lot of variety completed with local delicacies. Gluten-free bread available but had to request this from the staff.

    Very friendly staff.

    Location is good

Room is too small and equipment needs renovation. In general, hotel and its staff are not exately on 4 starts level.

    9LauraPosted on: 10-10-2024

The hotel was great. My single room had everything necessary in it with big terrace. The bed was comfortable. There was a huge amount of choices of meals for brekfast, lunch and dinner and they were delicious.

Hotel pools are great, our renovated room was comfortable and clean. Easy to reach Terme3000.Nice staff, avegare food.

Some common areas are still old-fashioned

Kind and helpful staff members. The room was pleasant and clean. Wide offer of tasty food for breakfast and dinner. Suggestion: include drinks in the price of dinner instead of charging for every glass of tap water.

Pools are overcrowded and management have to limit the entrance of daily guests. There were 40 people in line for drinks, and the wait was over 20 minutes. The 2 new slides that are advertised were closed. The old part of the slides needs reconstruction with a wider staircase, which would significantly increase throughput, instead of the current 50-minute wait for one slide.

    It was clean.

Why it is allowed to smoke almost everywhere? It was disguisting. People just smoking beside children at the pool. Sauna has no cold water pool.

The robot kitten :) the water quality and temperature is ideal , the rooms perfectly clean , the many pools are on weekdays almost empty. the breakfast rich.

It is a bit complicated to get to the bathing area, would be useful to put on more signs, infos. in the evening was one gate closed, we had to go around and - as first-time visitors - we really didn't know , where we are :)

Food was nice. Pools not too crowded during the week. Great slides, warm and clean water Enough shadow below trees to stay outside during the whole day.We got a discount as apologies for aircon not working properly

Air conditioning could not cool the below 27 degrees the whole night. The receptionist said this is normal. We couldn't sleep.Bed for a child is too hard. I ended up sleeping there.Photos showing some slides that were not open yet.

Not much to be honest. Was at this hotel a few years ago and since then a lot went downhill.

We arrived late, made a booking a bit last minute and we had booked 3 rooms, two doubles and one singles. We received 3 singles. We asked the receptionist to provide us towels, pillows for the other persons which eventually we received but it was quite annoying.Air conditioning was working really weak. The hotel is worn down quite bad and the staff in general is really bored on their jobs therefore they are so less attentive.Wine menu for a 4* hotel is a real joke

We booked the Family suite, so we had plenty of room. There was one front desk clerk that was nice, but the others were not nice at all.

I booked the family suite for 5 people. Prior to our arrival, I was told that 5 people could not stay in this suite, and I would have to book 2 more rooms. Upon arrival, 5 could stay, but I was charged $600 extra. Plus I was charged 1 night cancellation of the other room. All our beds had ants on them. The hotel smelled funny, and the staff was not very friendly until we spoke to them in Slovenian. Then they said, in slovenian, Oh, you are one of us. Then they got a little nicer. Also, went to front desk to request additional toilet paper, but housekeeping never brought it. Had to search her down, and then she was put out by my asking for Toilet paper! This was the hotel I was most excited about staying at during our 10 day vacation, and sad to say it was the most disappointing.

The pools and other facilities around the pools.

A lot pricey for breakfast n dinner packages compare to other therme where they're service n facilities way much better. I had a feeling the hotel out off budget for maintenance. Aircon can't be adjusted stay at 25°c in the summer time, u can't sleep, open the door to get fresh air mosquitoes in. Report 3x, 3 different peoples, they can't fix the problems. Was really bad experience to closed our holidays, where we expected a relaxing and wellness place...?. People still smoking pretty much everywhere ? this is the 1st time I wrote something like this. Sorry!

    We don't recommend this hotel

When we arrived at the hotel and it seemed like we are back in the eighties.1. First of all, the hotel is under renovation, we made a reservation via booking.com and no one informed us about it.2. The pictures of the rooms and the hotel are not related to the hotel and mainly belong to Terme 3000, the water park.3. Everything is not looking good, it looks neglected and dirty, and there are no electrical outlets near the bed. There are cobwebs in the corners and on the ceiling.4. The balcony has no privacy and is outdated.I asked in advance for a high floor and a view, and although they approved my request, we got a room on the first floor.5. After flooding in the bathroom we went to the reception and the guy that worked there said that they are fully booked and asked us not to take a shower today and that they will fix the problem tomorrow! After refusing such a wonderful offer we insisted to get another room. When we tried to communicate with the hotel via booking chat, they replied to me after we already checked out :)Also, the hotel manager talked to me during my check out (not during my stay to try to improve our feeling), and all I got from her is we are very sorry you were not satisfied. To summarize our stay, we didn't like this place and never don't come back there.

The Hotel Ajda is part of a larger complex. However, during our stay, it was not overcrowded. The staff is everywhere extremely friendly and helpful - from receptionists and staff in the restaurants up to the cleaning personnel. Due to the extension of our stay, we need to change the room. We forgot the massage device in the first room, and Mrs. Edita at reception helped us to find it again. Thanks! The rooms are large and nicely equipped. Currently, they have reconstruction works that do not affect the guests' stay. The room price also includes the use hotel's fitness, as well as the use of the swimming pools of Hotel Ajda (8-20h), Hotel Termal (6-20h) and the entire complex of Terme 3000 (9-21h).The breakfast and dinner are delicious, and the food choices are diverse.

We parked our car in the hotel's garage (and this is the garage of neighbour 5* hotel!) and could not find the entrance to the garage the next day. They is no sign of a garage at the door at all - just a white steel door on the corridor! The objects are lovely until the heavy rain takes place. However, after the thunderstorm, there are at once various buckets and blankets in several places in Hotel Ajda and 5* hotel Livada - really not a sign of good maintenance. I can only hope for the personnel in Hotel Ajda that during the current reconstruction works, the owners will also consider these problems.
