    Pros +

    • SPA excellent
    • Very close to the village
    • Excellent staff. Very courteous, welcoming and attentive. The food in The Terrace was very nice, and at a reasonable price. It was nice being able to decide between the more expensive Ivy Room restaurant and the Terrace Bar restaurant. Both menus looked nice, the Terrace suited us on the evening we were there.

    Cons -

    • Ac broke in room...shower door broken
    • Furniture in room was shabby and worn. Food service was extremely slow
    • For the price paid for room + breakfast, the room was a major let down. The furniture in the room needs immediate replacement. Chairs are worn with leather/seating material flaking away. The wardrobes and desktops were badly marked, scratched and show signs of lots of wear and tear. The phone was sitting on the bedside locker with the plastic base broken away/disconnected. The phoneline was disconnected and lying on the ground beside the bed. In the bathroom, the door was broken and worn at its base and the shower screen was off it's rollers, meaning the screen door hung freely and didn't close properly. Right outside our room, was a white service door, it was in bad shape and was obvious that the door is often struck my service carts or possibly maintenance materials / tools, plus the skirting boards in the corridors were badly scuffed scratched and marked. If I paid little for the room, I would have said "You get what you pay for", but I expected more for the price I paid.

I have always loved this hotel it was our 4th time visiting, made our stay a bit special when the staff remembers your face! The staff always go above and beyond to make sure everyone feels welcome, we had an issue with the AC in the room and they were extremely helpful and upgraded us to the lovely bridal suite and made sure we were happy!

The fact I couldn’t stay there for longer!

Three faults.Firstly, I could not use the pool or sauna even though I tried to book the evening before not knowing it had to be booked. Never in any hotel, I stated in did I experience this.Secondly, restaurants had also to be pre booked and were informed on arrival opening/closing times.Thirdly. Had to leave the hotel as they had no Bulmer. Don't like leaving hotels when I'm staying.

Everything great except the pool way too small. For such a big hotel and guests should not need to pay to access. This should be included

Close to the airport, perfect for a night before a flight.

Dinner in the bar isn't great.

A great size of a room, only thing it was cold when we arrived, it took about an hour to heat. Breakfast was lovely.

The hotel is in a good location, staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent.

The rooms are clean and spacious but perhaps the furniture is beginning to look a little tired with scuffs and scratches.Hotel tries to promote sustainability but fire doors were left wide open when the temperature outside was about 2degrees; not the best use of energy. Also not sure the cleaning staff were onboard as even though we declined for the room to be cleaned they still persisted we had clean towels which in my opinion was not necessary for a couple of days.
