Trim Castle Hotel

Location

We had a fab room but no electricity. Ended up missing dinner as delayed 30 mins in pitch black trying to get problem resolved!

Breakfast was exceptional! The breakfast room was spacious, clean, and relaxing. The staff was very friendly, courteous, and attentive to us. We were given a room with a view of the castle so that added bonus!

Beautiful surroundings . Initial impressions on entering the hotel were very good open and spacious

No hot water couldn’t even have a shower and had a funeral to go to

Comfortable bed, good shower, live music on weekends which was nice.

Very helpful and polite staff , very nice size room

Toilet flush was temperamental and hair dryer didn’t work

Unfortunately the bed was not comfortable. Breakfast was all sit down. Would of liked buffet style especially for the money your paying for one night.

Everything was fine

A wide and varied breakfast from porridge & yoghurt to cooked. Rooms are comfortable and spacious but the one I had was disappointing.Good location for the Boyne Valley.

Rooms were not available on the Hotel website but were available on Booking.com at a higher rate.I have stayed here before although this time I was assigned a room that was virtually windowless. It was on a small atrium or a courtyard and afforded little natural light. Actually it was a little depressing. I couldn't see out to the sky to see the weather conditions which is very important in Ireland.The evening dinner menu was very disappointing while varied it seemed to be mostly pre-processed food items.

Proximity to the castle was the best! We stayed here on the night before our flight home (under an hour drive to DUB). It was pouring rain, but were able to take pictures from the hotel of the castle without getting wet. Did a quick walk around before castle opened. Very comfortable room. Large complimentary parking lot right next to the hotel. Loved that! Breakfast was good and very fast.

Expected an additional cold breakfast bar of fruit, yogurt, cereals. First place where I didn't have a 'pot' of coffee, just a cup.

Duty manager in the bar was openly rude towards the staff in the evening in the bar. Between body language gesture and tone of voice. Unnecessary for anyone coming in to work and uncomfortable as a customer to see.Lack of choice in the bar. Quality of sausages, rashers in breakfast wasn’t the best
