The heating was the only issue we had it wasn’t very warm in the room

Only had the time to stay one night
Location, free parking albeit difficult to see the parking area when you’re driving by. The staff were so lovely. The Bar area was great, food looked amazing however we did not get a chance to book, which I would recommend. We had breakfast delivered to the room, it was very good, however no sauces provided. Just a small gripe!
The bed was quite uncomfortable, especially the pillows.
Close to town and was able to park my car in the car park
The night rate was dearer than booking.com I would have thought it would be cheaper I have never come across it before Of course I booked it with booking.com at a cheaper rate and saved 10 euro
Really friendly staff - at reception, in the and and at breakfast.
Car park was a bit tight.
The staff are lovely. The bar/restaurant very good ( seafood chowder outstanding).Fab location with Luvida and Berminghams just a minute away.Free parking.Very quiet.
Room 504 had not been renovated.Old school bathroom, lighting in room poor and just not worthy of 119 euros per night .
Room
Carpark was small, cramped and no spaces available
Everything except the heating as mentioned below. Otherwise everything okay. It always has been - in the centre of the town, easy access, parking for visitors, food. The reception service was very good.
My unnecessarily large bedroom was cold. I did ask but nothing happened. I've stayed there many times but never in the winter and I expected a warm room. In fact it gave me a bad cold which I am only just recovering from. At 83 this isn't funny. True I didn't bring many underclothes as it is an ensuite, but I expected to be warm. Actually the heating wasn't great in the public rooms and corridors either, but was okay. A guest I was giving lunch to did say it was chilly in their diner/bar. Also TV was very sketchy. I had to even ask for a remote and the as far as I could operate it the TV was very limited.
Big room, very clean and super location .
Staff were as helpful as they could be,Food was very good Off street parking.
We were on a level that has the function center and there was a wedding on, the fire doors that are supposed to muffle the noise from the event did not have soft closing hinges, so not alone was their noise from the event, which is understandable, people going through the doors resulted in banging as they closed, we are assuming guests were staying on the same floor. My advice to the hotel would be, put guests who are not involved in the wedding on a different floor and change the hinges on your doors. In saying that the staff were very apologetic and did offer us a free lunch to compensate which we politely declined as we needed to travel on.
Great location in the town. Good price for over New Year. Nice warm room & comfortable bed.
Coffee machine i couldn't work it correctly just to boil water for tea.I asked in reception for a kettle (old school) & in fairness one of the guys went off & got me one.I wasn't a fan of the car park.....very narrow for turning corners & i drive a smallish(i20) car. I'd have a breakdown if i had a big car
Clean room and nice breakfast bar food was pleasant
Freezing room no hot water for showers
Lovely breakfast staff very nice. Location is excellent for the town.
Loved the restruant, listened to live music, and finished my day unwinding and reading my books in the hotel library. This hotel was lovely, had character, and didn't feel like a boring chain hotel.
Reception areas & bar areas all very nice...main dining room was ok bedroom very comfortable bathrooms maybe need wee bit of attention...staff all lovely & helpful & great location
Bathrooms
Location and comfortable beds and a hearty breakfast
No fire in the fireplace
Staff very nice, facilities good and location was good. Hotel is in a central town location so easy to get out and about to explore.
We got issued a triple room (double and single bed) on entry to the room it was clean and tidy, however VERY cold. There was only one radiator which was on full but only lukewarm heat. We we're going out so I mentioned to reception the temperature issue and asked for a portable heater to be brought to the room, on arrival back to the room after midnight, there wasn't any portable heater left and no one was on reception when I went back to ask. Ended up using the covers from the single bed to stay warm in the night. I mentioned it again upon leaving the hotel on checkout - which they apologized for. For the price paid, I would have expected more. The carpark is lethal, be very careful navigating the VERY narrow lanes and parking spaces.
Lovely friendly and homely hotel. Have stayed here a few times and each time staff have been wonderful and patient towards 3 kids running about. Right in the centre of town.
