    Pros +

    • Food was good: Very good breakfast. Nice to have an afternoon snack also included, it wasn't generally super tasty although the sweets were always good, but great to have something when you come down from the mountain. Dinner ranged from the chewiest roast beef I've ever had, to an absolutely fabulous Hirsch (deer?) steak. Service was friendly, professional and attentive.Rooms are very comfortable, nice beds, literally nothing I would complain about.Great ski room downstairs. Extremely close to one lift, and very close to another, these two being the main lifts up from Saalbach.
    • A lovely family hotel to enjoy a few day’s skiing. The rooms were comfortable and warm. The half board option was a great choice with a varied menu for breakfast and dinner which changed every day.The hotel is very well located for the ski lifts and the town. The spa faculties were a welcome treat after a day on the slopes.
    • Convenient location. Great facilities. Good price.

    Cons -

    • A bit on the pricey side but worth it.
    • No way to regulate heat. It was literally 76 degrees in our room at night. Opened window to cool off so we could sleep but it seems family rooms are located on the main road and people are at the clubs all night and very noisy. Waited 3 hours the next day (and my paid ski rental) for the technician to tell me the thermostats in the rooms don't work and the heat is central and not able to be shut off in each room. Sadly, I lost a day of paid skiing for nothing.
    • Service level at the restaurant could be improved by focusing more on the guest not on themselves.Infrared sauna was not working for the hole time we were there.

Good location in the center of Saalbach with short walk to three different ski lifts.Quiet comfortable practically futnished room.Very wide selection of food from buffet for breakfast and dinner, and even for afternoon snack.Possibility to park car on dedicated parking lot right behind the hotel.Nice large and clean locker room with private lockable boxes for skis and boot including heated rods for the ski boots drying. Attached to the locker room are lockable boxes for small luggage together with toilets, changing rooms and showers. Perfect facility for last day of skiing after checking out.

The location of hotel to lift is very good. Beds are comfortable and family rooms are pretty spacious. Main entree in dining room changed every night. Breakfast buffet had a large assortment to choose from.

Hotel is located in the city center close to skiing area. Lunch bar at the hotel was very nice. The room was comfortable.

Service level at the restaurant could be improved by focusing more on the guest not on themselves.Infrared sauna was not working for the hole time we were there.

The hotel is in a fantastic position on the main high street, the breakfast is very good with a large choice of healthy items and some sweet treats. The boot room was fantastic with lockers for each room. The location is wonderful and it is nice to have sauna area for the end of the day. The bar is never too busy.

On arrival we had booked 2 rooms, the room for 2 people was perfect with a view of the church and the mountain. The second room for 3 people was not finished, painter and decorators cloths out and the beds unmade and sawdust on the floor. The replacement room was adequate but lacked bedside lights and did not feel finished. The dinner was not very good, the starters were a choice of 3 on the buffet, they were not always replenished and more the size of canapés, and the main dish contained so many items that they ended up being too many flavours mixed together. The Salad buffet was great. The deserts were again bite size but more like afternoon tea cakes. Please note that we have stayed every year at one of the main hotels in Saalbach over the festive season on a half board basis for over 20 years so have a good level as to what to expect. We also stayed at this hotel 21 years ago, which was a very different experience (one that we still talk about fondly)

great staff delivering a friendly and efficient service in a great location. I would definitely stay here again.

A super friendly Austrian hotel, I love your country. All the hotel staff team were super helpful, but an extra special shout out to our regular waiter Andras, who was helpful, very sociable, remembered our previous orders, and just went above and beyond for us. Thank you.

The location, the staff, the cleannesses and the amazing breakfast.

    8ChristopherPosted on: 2-28-2024

Quality of food very good. Although note the Trattoria is not inlcuded in half board. This was not known to us when booking. Location great near lifts.Staff very courteous.Bar area very nice.Great kids area.Heated locker for skis.

Family room (407) was very small for family of 4. Sofa bed inadequate for 2 children (aged 8 &12) to sleep on (squeaky and uncomfortable). We had to put mattress on floor. With that in mind the price was very expensive for the standard of room.Heating too high. Not the fault of the hotel but there was a LOT of noise in the streets late in the evening. Only possible way to sleep was with ear plugs (and we were on the 4th floor).

    7OddurPosted on: 2-4-2024

Location is good, facilities are good, most of the staff very kind and good and the breakfast was very good.

I did not like the main courses they served for dinner.

    7StefánPosted on: 2-4-2024

Very close to all lifts. Basement storage for skis with heated lockers so you put on warm boots every morning

Dinner was really poor. Little rude staff

    10AurelianPosted on: 1-29-2024

Big rooms.Very good food.Next to the slopes.Excekent services.

The parking place could be much bigger. When the hotel is full booked it’s very hard to find a free paking space.

    7ChrisPosted on: 1-11-2024

Great location, fabulous views, really nice communal areas and great food.

Rooms need a refurb, my was a bit grubby and the bathroom was poor, shower was rubbish. My room was facing the car park at the back and was directly over the hotel delivery entrance. There was banging and noise from 5am. Not possible to close the windows as the rooms are too hot.

The location is great! In the centre of Saalbach, very close to all the ski lifts! The ski room renovated! The food excellent and the staff of the restaurant very polite!

Someone entered our kids room at 1:00 in the middle of the night!!!! They were terrified!!!! First we heard someone shouting and banging doors and then suddenly someone got in our 20 year-old kids room, which was locked from the inside. They started screaming and whoever it was, left. Then we saw a policeman and a policewoman arresting two people. Of course we didn’t sleep that night. We never learnt who got in the room. The manager told us we were safe and for compensation gave us free parking(50€). I would expect at least not to pay for the night we lost our sleep and the invasion of our privacy!!! Let me say that it was the fourth time we visited this hotel. This is not how you should treat your clients!

Great breakfast, very good location and facilities were very good.

    Is quite expensive.

Ever wished for a hotel where ski lifts are closer than a polar bear's fur? Welcome to JUFA Alpenhotel Saalbach, where the slopes are practically your backyard! The staff? They speak English so smooth, you'll feel like you're ordering pizza back home. And breakfast? Hold on to your knickers because you can order fresh eggs and omelets like you've got a breakfast genie at your service. Not to mention, they've got a ski rental shop just across the street offering discounts sweeter than hot cocoa. Plus, buying lift passes here saves more time than it takes to put on your snow boots. Now, onto the ski lockers—they're like magical treasure chests for your gear. And while parking might come with a tiny price tag, it's worth it for the convenience.

But hold onto your ski poles; there are a few bumps on this slope! The beds... Let's just say they're as firm as the mountain's resolve to challenge skiers. And those street-facing windows? Great for scenic views but not so much for soundproofing – you might catch a free street concert or two.

Hotel parking was not available and it was difficult to find another option to leave car
