Leaving the Mountain

Well, sadly. There was quiet a few things I didn't like at the hotel. Firstly, as being english I put on my own during meals and the waiting staff were not very welcoming. Fair enough Austrian is not a language I can speak but there was no one who spoke English or wanted to even try, even thou I tryed my best to speek broken Austrian. The food was so basic and bland and when I left my plate with food on it, I was made to feel like a naughty little boy at school, from grumpy dinner ladies. Secondly my room totally did not look like it did on the picture it was a shoe box, clean ish very basic 1 pillow but heavily used sheets, that wore changed daily but still very tired. They wore originally white but I received yellow ones. Basically overall I will not be going back again. If I was to complain they would not of understood me anyway. The first time in my life I have looked forward to going home, after my fist night in a hotel.

Very well located, easy to use, friendly staff, clean , nice food and half board was included very good value.

I like a harder pillow, it was a soft one.An option to pay extra for a cooked full english would have been amazing

Food was very nice, always freshly prepared and plenty to choose from! Staff was always smiling and they were kind, helpful and service was fast. Evening meals were great. Mulled wine was so good!!!I would also like to say thank you for helping me to find correct bus connections prior my arrival and for the journey back. Communication with the hotel was great and they were very helpful! I'll be booking to go back to The Hotel Mitterer soon again!

Great family run hotel in a perfect location. Next time I’m in Saalbach I’ll be staying here again.

Perfect location in the city center close to cable cars and undergroud parking. Tasty and large dinners with soup, main dish and dessert. Friendly and helpful staff. Room cleaning every day. Complimentary "Joker card" gives free access to all cable cars in the valley, busses and some local attractions.

Only cold buffet for breakfasts, every day the same.

The location is great. Situated right in the middle of town and walking distance to the ski lifts.

The staff was unfriendly, not communicative, barely any information at check-in and misunderstandings during breakfast and dinner. Very disorganised and bald trained.

View was great.Staff were pleasant mostly.Food was largely nice!

Room was tiny, I'm 6ft and struggled to even get in/out of the room and getting in and out of shower was a problem.Room was always roasting hot and whenever cleaner went in they closed the window.Breakfast didn't have very good options, was cereal, eggs or a sandwich you had to make yourself.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing and plentiful, I never went hungry. The location was perfect, with several lifts and an affordable supermarket all within 5 minutes walk. Great value for money and I'd definitely book again if I was visiting Saalbach.

The toilet and the shower in the room are very small and in our room without ventilation.The jacuzzi was without warm enough water so nobody used itThere is no lobby where you can meet and talk

Food was just amazing! Everything super clean and the room was made every day. Loved the local/traditional experience. Everybody was so friendly, you could not distinguish the staff from the family. I hope to return next year.

Some veggies at breakfast would be great.
