Not so wow

No air conditioner.. Not to many things

Really nice design and very clean, sweet and welcoming staff, and a yummy breakfast. I felt super comfortable throughout my stay.

Just a minor thing – it was a bit tricky to find the bicycle garage. A small sign on the outside door would make it much easier.

The location is perfect and the staff wonderful. We didn't get the breakfast at the hotel. Passau is a beautiful town and the people are very friendly. Don't miss Sello's Bar Caffè Centrale near St. Paul's. Sello is a real treasure!

Location

Booked a suite but I was given a room on top of the garage. The entrance to room was scary and dark.

One of the things we appreciated was having the candles (battery operated) lit up throughout the hotel when we arrived home that night. It was a nice addition.

Although the room and bathroom were very clean and well organized, it was so small that it was difficult to move around. The lighting was also poor. There was no place to sit and read, even if you chose to sit on bed with your back against wall, since there was no overhead lighting.

Charming small hotel with river view. The room was quite and cozy. They offer paid parking in front of the hotel which is very convenient.

We were here before and we went again because we really like this small hotel. Quiet, clean, very good choice of breakfasts and nice people.

Our view over the Danube onto the lower castle was great. The location near the end of the island made for significantly less traffic and noise.

The property only has three parking spaces to assign. There are many public parking areas near by, but all come at an additional cost. It would be good to call and see if any go the on site spots are available.

Comfortable beds, simple but stylish decor, great breakfast and friendly staff.

Small rooms, no luggage racks or real room for 2 peoples luggage.

We wanted to be at the confluence of the rivers in Passau - and we absolutely were, with a stunning view from the window of our room. We arrived late at night, when the Reception was unmanned, but the parking space we had reserved was clearly marked for us, and the check-in procedure very smooth.

We arrived late and had clear communication about how to access the building and our room. Our room was clean and comfortable. they stored out luggage for us and were helpful finding resources due to the flooding. We would definitely stay again.

We booked the last room they had. It was a basement room (well appointed/comfortable). I wish it had AC - it was a bit warm/stuffy.

Perfect location, friendly staff and easy communication. Room was comfortable.

The bathroom could have done with a better clean, and the room was slightly smaller than expected as first time we stayed here the room was larger and even more comfortable.

The mattress was super comfortable and the rooms were nicely decorated.

There is no elevator (we had our room in the second floor) and while it didn't bother us this time because we didn't have much luggage, I think it's important to mention. There was no air conditioning and it was pretty hot in the room.

It was our second stay at Boutique Hotel Morgentau and like the first time, we enjoyed our stay. The hotel is centrally located, but in a quiet street. The rooms are tastefully furnished and well equipped. Beds are comfy. Definitely our go-to place in Passau, we would definitely come back, despite the minor inconveniences mentioned below.

Cleaning service of the room should be improved. Our room was cleaned only once during our stay of 4 days and only after we talked about it with the staff at the reception, who immediately apologized. The last day, there was some kind of cleaning service i.e. they changed the towels but did not do the beds. Professional but very minimalistic / distant staff, i.e. we had the issue with the cleaning, however no one asked us during check-out if things were sorted / how our stay went. Small things, which for many people might be irrelevant, which I think however makes the difference when working in hospitality.Given the overall price of the room, I think the avaialble bathroom amenities should be improved (currently only an all-in shower gel / shampoo available).All in all, however, nothing which would not make us come back to this hotel.
