    Pros +

    • Location! Location! Location! We chose the hotel because of its proximity to St. Stephens Cathedral and the largest organ in Europe. We had a wonderful room overlooking the Danube which was a surprise because we didn't realize the proximity of the hotel to the river. The staff was accommodating in every way, even loaning us an umbrella on a rainy day. The breakfast buffet was average, but we were surprised on the first morning as we sat down with our meat, cheese, fruit and bread to be asked how we wanted our eggs! For subsequent mornings, we had delicious scrambled eggs and crisp bacon! We also ate in the hotel restaurant in the evenings and found the food and service to be excellent. Many thanks to Sylvana, Lea, Mina, Patricia and others for their hospitality and to Chefs Anthony and Dilon for their culinary delights.
    • We just spent 2 nights at this hotel and loved it. The location is excellent, with many shops and restaurants near by. Our room was huge, tastelfully decorated, very comfortable, and quiet. The bed was so comfortable! Breakfast was included and was great. We had dinner one night at the hotel, both my husband and I had burgers, and they were exeptional! Highly recommend this hotel!
    • Both my boyfriend and I had colds by the time we got to this hotel, and it was the perfect place to rest up in a comfortable room while still being conveniently located so that we could visit the sites in the afternoon. Even though we only made it out for a few hours in the afternoon on a couple of days the cleaning staff made up our room in the time we were gone so we always had a fresh supply of tissues, toilet paper, coffee, water, and towels if we needed new ones. Also, the restaurant served the best food of our entire 2-week trip - lots of fresh vegetables and gourmet sauces/seasoning. Absolutely delicious. On the last night, my boyfriend was not feeling up to dinner so the staff delivered soup from the restaurant to our room - really top notch service - they went out of their way to accommodate us. I would 1000% recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Passau.

    Cons -

    • Having to walk several flights of stairs while carrying our heavy suitcases when we first arrived. We didn't realize that if we'd used their other entrance which is around the corner, the elevator is on that floor,
    • Nothing. Our experience was terrific.
    • The breakfast was ok, but there was no toaster and no place to put a spoon after stirring the coffee. Also there was the ubiquitous smell of cigarette smoke and as I was sitting outside on their terrace a staff member came and sat next to us and started smoking.

We loved this hotel! Our room had been recently redone and was so clean and modern. We did request a room with a River view but did not get it. The staff was wonderful and the hotel restaurant was fabulous! The hallway to the elevator had not yet been refurbished and looked and smelled a bit old, but I am sure it will only be a matter of time before this area of the hotel is re-done. The signage for the restaurant was good, however it took us a while to figure out that the hotel was accessed via the restaurant.

The location was ideal. The taxi was able to pick us up outside of reception. The hotel had a restaurant and an adequate bar area.

The breakfast was ok, but there was no toaster and no place to put a spoon after stirring the coffee. Also there was the ubiquitous smell of cigarette smoke and as I was sitting outside on their terrace a staff member came and sat next to us and started smoking.

The location of this hotel was perfect. The staff was very friendly and went out of there way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The room we were in was very cute and clean. This is the perfect place to stay to explore Passau. We arrived a day before catching a Danube River Cruise and we could not have stayed at a better place. Next time, we will stay longer :)

    I can't think of anything!

Great location with very friendly and helpful staff! Easy walk to everything. Was a nice touch to have breakfast included as well.

Would have been helpful to have a Hotel sign visible while coming to the hotel from the road behind the hotel as this is where the GPS takes you.

It was a great hotel! Clean, facilities in good shape, good breakfast, and the location could not be better!! The room had a big smart TV with Netflix, YouTube, etc. The room was big enough and also the bathroom. Everything was renovated recently. Highly recommend hotel!

The ventilation system of the bathroom did not work and moist accumulated. It was a bit expensive. The room had a minibar which did not work.

Hotel was an easy 10 minute walk from the main train station. It is located within a couple of minutes walk from the the Christmas Market in front of St. Stevens Cathedral. Our room had a view of the Danube. The room was a decent size with a comfortable bed and bedding.

Thought the breakfast offering was poor compared to the other hotels we have stayed in on this trip with a limited selection of food stuffs, especially for the price we paid for the roomLike a vast majority of hotels in Europe they dont understand you need boiling water for a cup of tea not lukewarm stuff out of a coffee machine. To be fair the above is a minor inconvenience and didn't detract from an enjoyable stay.

    9BethPosted on: 11-18-2024

The location was excellent. We could walk everywhere, and restaurants and pubs were close by. The views from the hotel were absolutely gorgeous.

My parents enjoyed their stay. It was conveniently close to the station, the centre and the river harbour.

    9MichaelPosted on: 10-20-2024

Everything was great except our room was very small.

Room was very small. We had 2 suitcases and it was difficult to set them in the space provided.

Lovely modern little rooms & baths, nice terrace overlooking Danube, wonderful staff & good varied breakfast w made to order eggs. Highly recommend!

Hotel is very stylish. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good. Very good location for sightseeing in Passau and close to river boat docks.

    Wished the elevator was larger.
