Hotel Platin

This was my second time staying here, as before it was really good. On arrival, the room key was in an envelope waiting in reception. Everywhere was very clean but, as before, there were no staff to be seen. However, when I did have a small issue in the car park, a member of staff was there within only a couple of minutes. (I dropped my bike in the snow/ice. No harm done except to my pride

Room was very small, no air conditioning, it was not very clean, looked like it was a storage room turned into a room. Not enough space for 2 adults. The wall was half broken, very small uncomfortable bed, not suitable for 2 adults I don t recommend that room. Maybe check the accommodation before paying , so you won t go through a disappointing stay.

For the price, the room and property were OK. The rooms are tiny, but then again, you get what you pay for. No AC, which again isnt a standard in many European hotels at that level. Overall, I would stay again in an emergency, but not first pick.

I liked the automatic screen signing in, as an option, but also personal was present upon my arrival (cleaning, but asked if I need help). I saw the cleaning every day happening, and the personal was very polite. The bus-stop was very close, even though it is outside the city. Parking spots were protected. My room was on the street side, but the window closed quite well, and from outside I could hear barely anything. It was very outside the central of Regensburg, but midway to other tourist attractions (Walhalla, castle.). As I was visiting family, and needed public transport just for the evenings, when I was more tired, I actually enjoyed the cosy walk (ca. 50 min) to the centre.

The bedsheets were clean, old and starting to rip by some spots (next to the zip), the entry was dark and for breakfast less opportunity to get in the close area, it was not obvious how to handle the free hot drinks in the morning either as the coffee machine kept on the screen the price. My room was on the 3rd level, and there were no lift, the stairs were quite dark upon returning to the evening.

The location of the property is great, and the room itself is good. However, the bathroom is quite small. One issue I encountered was that there was a lady who appeared for only 1-2 hours during my stay, and she didn’t understand English, which made communication difficult. Additionally, there was no one available at the reception at any time, and no contact number was provided for guests to reach someone in case of an emergency or need. Also, there was no room cleaning throughout my entire 6-day stay.

We liked the decor, the friendly staff, the ease of check in and the secure parking. The room was clean and very comfortable and had everything that we needed.

A typical unmanned hotel but no local information such as Wi-Fi passwords is provided anywhere. No response to phone calls or emails requesting this information.

They mixed up the keys and gave me one to a room where guests stayed already. I was areiving late in the evening and when I entered the room there were people sleeping in it.Noone picked up a phone or helped.They told me to write and email to aim for a refund. - since then ghosted me and dont respond and no refund was given.

Free, safe parking right next to the hotel entrance. Easy check in, friendly staff. Small vending machine with drinks in reception (cash only). Close to city center if you want to explore. Easy access to/from highway. Creative design and interior - hence why we chose this place. Fair priced. Fun room, something out of the ordinary which we really enjoyed. VIP room excellent for couples!VIP room contained hot tub, dealbreaker for us for a relaxing stay (a bit shallow just FYI). We received 2 sets of towels each: very soft and nice!Bed in VIP room was comfy and big! Also comfy bedding and hotel pillows (would maybe add regular pillows for sleeping comfort). There is a tower fan in the room that creates circulation which was nice, please note it is no AC. Note that there is privacy buttons near your room-door. If you turn on the privacy button your room will not be cleaned. For cleaning, turn on the house keeping button. A red/green light will illuminate in front of your door to let the personnel know if you want privacy or cleaning.Room exactly like in pictures! Recommended and will come back if we are around the area again :)

It seems there is a mismatch between the information we received in the booking email and in the app. In the confirmation email it says we did not have breakfast included (no meal plan added), but that we had sparking wine added that would be ready at check in. We did not receive sparkling wine (not important for us as we do not drink it, but some might expect it). In the app - the booking confirmation said we had breakfast included. Some mis-information here that the hotel need to look into so that the guests know what to expect :) The cleaning could have been better (see photos): - We found spider webs and spiders in some corners/ceiling (probably because the window is kept open, naturally bugs will come inside so this is nothing major)- There was dust/webs in lower corners that wasn’t cleaned.- The tower fan was not cleaned, lots of dust in it that could easily be wiped and removed.

My coffee cost 2,50 extra as I started before 6 o'clock. Why?Room was a bit loud due to the street, but I knew that in advance.Not very clean but OKNo WiFi code inside the room, I arrived late so I could not ask at the reception.

Room was very small for the price. It was not terrible but it seemed like a sex hotel or something and it should have been maybe 50€ a night tops.

The place looked really clean and snazzy. It had a cool vibe to it for sure.
