Hotel-Restaurant Wiendl

Good location, half an hour from the center. Nice breakfast in spacious dining room. Pretty big, clean bathroom. Good heating system - in the middle of our stay the temperatures dropped from 20+ to 9 degrees Celsius, so that turned out to be important. Nice view of the garden from the room. There was always free parking space in front. Very welcoming and nice staff!

Beds were really, really uncomfortable. We both had back pain for almost whole stay.Also, walls are paper thin. On the last night in the room across from our a family checked in (so two walls). Their kid started singing at six o'clock and we heard all of it like she was next to us. In adjacent room there was elderly couple, we heard every single word they said.

Great hotel. Fairly close to the inner city. We walked there the 1st day (about 3 miles there and back). Took the bus the 2nd day. Bus stop is not even 100 yards from the hotel. Very friendly staff. I had an issue with my rental car and the front office helped me out in getting in touch with the rental car company. We had a large room by European standards, and the food at the restaurant the night we ate there was fantastic!

The room is very cosy and clean. The bathroom is very clean and nice. The personal of the hotel is very supportive, kind and quickly and clearly respond to all the questions.

The room was cosy and comfortable. There is a nice private parking to leave the car. A bus stop bringing you to the centre is very near. The hotel is in a quiet and nice area. Many comfortable sitting options in the room

Soundproofing of the room was not great. The bathroom could have done with some places where to hang the towels

the hospitality . you do not fell like hosting in a hotel in Germany (it was missing the coldness between people) . every one wants to help and make you fell well . nice surprise.

Due to the atmosphere, you will take into consideration the little bit old furniture,,,,

After the short walk from the train station, we met a very nice lady at the front desk. She welcomed us in and we went to our room. With plenty of room, the spacious room fit our needs. Breakfast the next morning was really good. There was a buffet with plenty of options. The hot tea was good after a night of visiting the Christmas Markets.

- the food in the restaurant was great and quickly prepared- while a bit older it is quite well-maintained- reception staff was nice and helpful- location was reachable from the station via foot- it is a bit further from the main street, so the environment is quiet

Unfortunately, the cleanliness was disappointing. While the room and sheets itself were good, on the floor of the bathroom there still was hair from the previous guest(s). The toilet was not even wiped once, with hair and dust on the seat. I ended up using the public one in the floor.

Front desk person was friendly and spoke great English. Helpful - recommended a restaurant for supper. Good breakfast. Hotel's restaurant reopened on our second night and the food was very good - local specialties. It was a bit of a walk uphill from the train station.

Breakfast was good. Room was reasonable for my needs, but not overly spacious. It was quiet, well sound proofed and faced the courtyard. Bathroom was adequate. Parking next to entrance was great. Was not an outrageous distance to walk to Thurn & Taxis palace for me.

The location is ok, 20 mins from the city center by foot, and for us was especially convinient because it was near the train station. There was also a Mall with a cinema and lots of cafes & breakfast options. The lady at the reception was very nice and the bathroom was clean.

The hotel itself is really old & old-school. The furniture is outdated and the bed is not comfortable. There was dust on the shelf at the head of the bed. Also the shelf it's very inconvenient, you can hit your head (my husband did this twice) because it's so close to where your pillow is. There was a smell in the room I did not like at all, but only if you are particulary sensitive to smells (it wasn't strong). The doors are with key and they are really old, so everything happening outside the room is super noisy. In the bathroom there was a hairdryer tied to the wall, but I couldn't use it because I didn't have where to plug it in. The restaurant was closed so we didn't eat there.

The room was small but nice and cozy. The staff was very nice and helpful. The bier garden (and restaurant) was great! The breakfast was very good!

The room would benefit from a fridge and air conditioning, but it was not a big problem for me.

at night time the constant noise of keys and doors opening and closing. could maybe solved with a card system.every day clean towels is not needed, even the ones we didn't use. The day of our departure the towels were already taken from the room during our breakfast long before check out time, so coming back to pack we didn't have any towel left.

Very hard mattress and uncomfortable pillows. The hotel is a 20-25 minute walk from the old town.

The staff were very friendly and helpful - nothing to complain about. I got recommendations for good restaurants not too far and the suggestions were excellent. Nice space to lock my bike safely and conveniently. Nice terrasse outdoor where I could sit in the afternoon with internet access.

Room equipment is a bit older and air conditioning is missing (normally would be okay but we were there during hot summer weather). But in general, good hotel to stay in Regensburg.

Poor facilities in room. Day temperature was over 31degc, and room was very hot and stuffy with no breeze even with window wide open, but no electric fan available when asked.First night the outdoor restaurant terrace was full (reserved tables) so ate inside, again very hot and no air, spoiled a nice meal. Ate in a nearby restaurant after that.I know weather is not the responsibility of the hotel, but very little help to be made comfortable.Car parking very limited and tight if in a large car. Street parking looked impossible!

Super friendly staff and very clean. Location was excellent.

We were received very friendly, the room was very comfortable, and we enjoyed the warm summer evening in the Biergarten belonging to the hotel.
