    Pros +

    • Location, cleanliness and friendly, helpful staff. Also, excellent, free breakfast.
    • Good friendly staff Bright very clean room Bad cable:very few options, did not invest in this area Decent breakfast Location, locationcable with to few options if any. Mostly free chanels from middle east
    • The location is right in the heart of the Old Town section of Regensburg. It is 1/2 block to the Christmas Market and Two Blocks from The Dom Cathedral. The Stone Bridge is very close and on the other side is an old Brewery.Even the Train Station is nearby.Take the “Town Tour Train” that stops in front of the church to get a quick overview of the Old Town.Very walkable area of town. Many antique stores, food, coffee shops.Next to the hotel is a Danish Pastry shop with very unique sweets. Our favorite was the Salted Caramel Walnut. The hotel is built on 700+ year old foundations and during renovations they found a Cat placed into the wall for Good Luck in 1425. The have him in the same wall location behind a glass panel, so you can say hello. Rooms are very modern and there is an elevator to the upper floors. Breakfast and coffee was very good each morning. Most guests were on holiday from the local Bavarian Region. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We attended a Christmas Eve Mass at the Cathedral and the Choir and Pipe Organ sounded wonderful as they sang Silent Night in German of course. The Mass and the ceremony were also in German, but as a Roman Catholic I knew all the places where you sit, stand, knell and respond to the Priest. Very special to see a 700 year old cathedral used for worship and not used an attraction. 1/3 of the people were tourists, but most people were there to worship on Christmas Eve, which is when the Christmas Angel comes to put up the Tree, Decorations, Sweets and Gifts. Many people sang the hymns and it was standing room only.

    Cons -

    • Very thing was Wunderbar.
    • Some noise outside my window in the early morning.
    • Was too expensive for what it was 100euros Ford single room). bad wifi

Just spent the night. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. Rooms on small side but clean and all amenities. Nice breakfast. Only issue tv on in German.

Location was good. Easy walking to anywhere we wanted to go in Regensburg. Room was comfortable with beautifully painted wall. Breakfast was good.

We were very happy with everything.

    10DixiePosted on: 10-17-2024

The room and beds were very comfortable and the location could not be better. Right in the heart of Regensburg walking distance to everything, they were helpful with storing our bikes and recommending where to eat and tour for our short time. Excellent Breakfast!

Extremely well located but a bit of a hike from the central train station - consider a taxi. This hotel is right smack in the middle of the tourist area so lots of shops, restaurants and easy access to the river for Walhalla.

They offer WiFi but in reality, there is none. My wife used her mobile phone to create a hotspot on the laptop and then we were able to use the internet but it does eat up those gigabytes from the esim.

    10MariaPosted on: 8-18-2024

We loved the hotel with its traditional yet slightly artsy style. Right in the middle of the old town. Stayed in the family suite on the top floor of the main building, which was very large and comfortable (incl. AC). Lovely breakfast. Found the staff extremely welcoming and helpful. Will certainly come back!

Nothing I could think of really.

Room was a good size, good shower, nice breakfast, the fan in the room given the temperatures was a nice touch.

The hotel is very hard to find by car, and the directions we got given to the parking lot (a good 10-minute walk) once we had checked in were incorrect.

    10AntonPosted on: 8-7-2024

The staff was VERY friendly, professional, and accommodating. The location is very central. The room was very clean and well furnished. The AC worked well, as did all the facilities. We could have breakfast delivered to our room via room service and the breakfast was very good.

Very minor and only specific to our room: the AC was a bit hard to "hit" with the remote, and when you miss, the remote will, e.g., say "on" even though it's still off. This was easily managed, but it would have been nice with some instructions because, at first, we did not realize the AC had not turned on.

Central location, helpful and accommodating staff

    A bit pricey, no WiFi

    7DominickPosted on: 5-16-2024

    Very nice breakfast

Three separate staff members ( females) made me feel uncomfortable. One young woman was downright RUDE to my husband and actually told him if she was to continue the conversation she would start “screaming “. Is this a cultural issue…America versus Germans????

Great location and very nice breakfast. Staff was friendly and helpful.

I was not in the principal building and needed to go outside to get to the main bldg, breakfast, etc. Was not aware in advance

Nice location, historical building, friendly reception, nice breakfast room

Room had an ugly carpet and furniture, not very clean

    5JohnPosted on: 1-7-2024

    Central location in Regensburg

Monotanous breakfast. Blaue Turm not really for”Gehbehindert” (physically challenged”). The restaurant was only for Breakfast. Rest area insufficient for the size of the hotel. Stayed over New Year: Hotel aided in finding reservations for restaurarants which we found 2nd rate.
