    • The parking at 10 euro a day was helpful. The breakfast was good. We had a shared facility. There were 3 rooms to a pod. The pod had full kitchen including stove and refrigerator and shared toilet and shower. We never saw the others staying in the pod. It was a nice arrangement.
    • Basic but very clean room, totally silent at night. Very good breakfast with local products.

    Cons -

The location is good. Short walk to old town. Breakfast had some unusual items, e.g., sushi! There was a nice parking area behind the housing. There was no staff when we checked in even though it was 4 p.m. Not that it mattered, but I can not comment on how the staff was

The room was small (esp. considering the price).

The Gastehaus is located near the river in a quiet area but close to the old town of Regensburg. There are annexe rooms (basic, economical) plus modern rooms in the adjoining building. I stayed in the annexe - spacious room, super clean, shared bathroom not an issue, and shared kitchen area well-equipped with fridge, stove, utensils etc. Wifi excellent. The breakfast included (in building next door) is outstanding with plentiful fare for vegans/vegetarians, and all. The breakfast hospitality is excellent with friendly, kind staff - above and beyond. The reception staff are kind and helpful; this is an active teaching centre as well and so plenty of activity. The Gastehaus is walking distance to the train, old town and sights, close to the stone bridge, but not quite in midst of hurly burly, so peaceful, and with garden. There are local buses nearby, local coffee and bakery and simply a great location for an enjoyable less rushed Regensburg visit. Luggage can be left as well.

Annexe has stairs but this is advised in information. No complaints.

The location is as described and was a short walk to the train station and the old town. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was wonderful.

There was noise from the street from the street that made getting to sleep a bit difficult.

I really appreciated the convenient public parking nearby at a reasonable price, all within walking distance. The city center is also easily reachable on foot. The location is close to the Danube riverbank, offering beautiful views.

There are many restaurants in the area, but no nearby supermarket or grocery store, so there isn’t much alternative if you prefer to cook or shop for yourself.

The breakfast was very good. The room was clean and comfortable. It is not in the center, but we could walk to the city center easily. The staff were very friendly.

We changed our room after the first stay because we wanted a room with the bathroom. The room without the bathroom was no problem and it was very good, but the room with the bathroom is more convenient. The room was clean and spacious. This hotel offers a very good breakfast. The staff were very friendly.

I booked a simple room with shared bathroom and toilet. The part of the building is very old and the room was really simple and almost 'spartan', but it was excellent value for money. Impeccably clean, a cool room with just a little bit of noise coming from the pubs and excellent central location. The breakfast buffet is excellent - they offer to make scrambled egg for you.

It was basic, but I expected that. It was a bit odd that we were told to leave our towels on the floor, if we wanted them changed (which I did after three nights) but then they were just put back on the towel rack. There also was no description how to escape in case of a fire.

I spent the weekend after a conference with a friend, treating myself to a room upgrade. The en-suite rooms are located in the pretty part of the building and are modern, clean and spacious rooms with all the amenities. They gave way to the lovely garden and kept cool during a couple of very hot days. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, especially the people serving at breakfast. The breakfast buffet is a dream, quality before quantity yet with great choice and you can have scrambled eggs to be done to order. I enjoyed the little garden.

There was a tripping hazard near the juice station. Juice could be fresh. We had trouble locking the main door from inside after coming home.

The breakfast is very lovely with delicious saffron bread, fish pancakes, etc. I only stayed one night, so I had only a chance to try 1 set of breakfast, but I could imagine that they prepare different things everyday as they really give effort in preparing the meals. The location is perfect walking distance within the important sites and i like that I can just leave the car safely in the parking.I stayed in the shared accommodations and I didn't have any problems. Nobody shared the apartment with me.I checked in late and there was no problem to get the keys - they provide a code to open the box.

Location was nice and breakfast buffet was great although I didnt really eat much.

Room was ok but quite warm without fan or aircon. Breakfast should be optional.

top location, friendly staff, breakfast choice, there was even hot egg dishes!, single room had good size, quiet,

bathroom bit old, bed very hard, breakfast room was like "mensa" type style with big tables to share with other guests, not the best atmosphere

    9IanPosted on: 7-3-2025

Central location and helpful staff. Breakfast was excellent and provided a garage for our bikes.

No fans to help with heat.

    9JulianPosted on: 6-23-2025

The room was basic but had everything I needed, including a sink. The communal bathroom facilities were clean and I never had to wait. The breakfast was good. The location is within an easy walk from the train station and the old town. It's only a couple of minutes walk from the river. I would stay there again.

I struggled to find the entrance, but that was more my problem with following Google maps directions and not looking at the map properly myself than a problem with the property.

Very nice and helpful employees. Amazing breakfast for the price with local ingredients.

breakfast was excellent. Breakfast staff efficient and friendly. Lachs was served every morning. A real plus with me. Ladies at front desk very helpful. Very interesting building tucked away amidst a thriving, busy town.
