Holiday Inn - the niu Sparrow Regensburg By IHG

* Security lapses: after cleaning room was left open* No kettle or bed coffee facilities in the room* Parking charges: significantly more than other covered parking options. Makes up for lower room rents.

What I liked most was the proximity to the Hauptbahnhof

The room was very cramped, with no wardrobe, side table, or kettle. The glasses provided in the bathroom were unprotected and dirty, and the shower floor was slippery and dangerous. Loud music, always the same techno song, was played every day at 10:30 am. The room was not well soundproofed.

Room was soundproof from railway lines below. We could walk to the Old Town. Bus stop outside.

We were suppose to have received an upgrade due to booking error but the beds were not a big double bed but two single beds pushed together with gap in the middle not even with a double sheet across. Long corridors to room. Decor in reception/lounge a bit basic. No tea or coffee provided in room.

The location was good, walkable to local sites and stores. I did not end up purchasing the breakfast. My family and I did have dinner at the hotel frequently, and that was nice. Excellent and kind staff!

There were no laundry facilities, very basic room layout with no refrigerator option. The toliets emitted a very strong odor, I tried to spray it down with cleaner but it didn't help. Both soaps provided in the bathrooms were empty.

Spacious room for 4 people and 2 dogs. Breakfast was complete and staff very friendly. Parking was available inside the building.

That I couldn't stay more days! Everything was pretty good!

Property is all right, nice and clean but very basic, not to be confused with holiday inn in UK. Unsure if there is enough parking in the garage as we came early enough to get a space. Be prepared to pay €18

Only a beanbag, no furniture, About 4 hangers. Also not a big problem but wish there was at least a bottle of water; any food/drink you have to order and pay at reception.

The staff was very helpful, great location, big room.

The bathroom was not cleaned properly, and the sink and the shower had hair all over.Overall, the hygiene was not as expected.

I didn't like the fact that the whole hotel building was run by two trainees (students). It feels like the management staff knows in advance the many problems this hotel faces, hence they put in reception two young employees, so that the management doesnt deal with clients complaints.I didn't like the fact that the sewage was not draining the shower water due to the hair that were stuck in the shower. It was horrible experience. All the staff could do was to offer to take shower in another room and offer me a free bottle of water. That is their best solution. Instead of fixing the problem they have so many nonsense workaround solutions.All in all, in this hotel you don't get what you pay for. The hotel is pure deception.

Room size was perfect for a family of three. Excellent location close to train station. Breakfast buffet was excellent too. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Everyone speaks English.

Location in general and it is close to the city center. Rooms are clean and comfortable.

I would put additional boards pointing to the underground parking, it is not obvious that there is one. Also would put the signs pointing to the area for hotel guests parking area in the garage itself.

We loved the size of the room and the receptionist (Asian guy) who was very kind and helpful.

High price for our dog stay without mentioning it in advertising. Very limited food available in the evening. Tv was not working; the issue was known to the stuff but not mentioned during the check in. Stuff seemed struggling with handling customers inquiries at the reception.

Location was good—a 10-15-min walk to downtown. Hotel room was clean, beds comfortable. Room was spacious. Staff was kind and helpful.

Location was on a busy road, and there was not sufficient parking for hotel guests. Had to park in a parking garage 8-min walk away that cost €20. Would have been nice if our hotel room (family room) had had additional furniture. There was only one chair at the table. And a desk or a bench at the foot of the bed would have been nice.
