Hotel Airone

We would like to thank the manager for the pleasant hospitality fro Ilana and Nahom.

It's a very nice hotel with cozy, quiet rooms where everything is well thought out. The breakfast is normal.There is a bicycle rental service.The administrators are friendly.Pool is not in the hotel itself - it is nearby.

We booked this place for the restaurant for dinner, it was going well at first but then we made a reservation. We waited for an hour, the food was brought to everyone except us, two times we tried ti found out what happened to our order, in the end we did not understand what happened, but the waitress started to be rude to us, saying that we were to blame ourselves and did not speak Italian well. For some reason we were taken to the chef, so that he also “explained” to us that we were wrong and we could not wait an hour for the order. At the same time in the order form in the kitchen there was a part of the items that were announced to the waiter missing. We had to go hungry to eat in the neighboring village, no one even apologized to us.

Everything was very good, all as I have expected. Nice rooms, good price, fare breakfast and nice dinner. Rooms very clean and good sizes. Very good value.

Pool is a bit away from hotel, you have to cross the town to get in. Also,we found a tiny snake at our door.

Charming old building with beautiful garden. The rooms are all furnished with antique furniture but they are very comfortable, the bathrooms are older but clean and perfectly functional. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was one of the best meals we had in Italy. The breakfast was mainly continental but with wide selection of food. The pool was beautiful and very big with very warn water and plenty of sun loungers, some even hidden away in the lush old Tuscany garden. We even bought some locally made preserves when we were leaving.

The location was quite remote and we had some minor trouble finding it. Also the pool was not in the main building but in the different plot few streets away. Neither of these things bothered us so for us it wasn’t really a problem.

The dinner was exceptional and the whole place very beautiful. Quiet night, very friendly staff

It is located in a very calm area. The room was clean and the restaurant was very good also. Every member of the staff was very kind. Had a nice stay in here.

So beautiful, clean and serene. I wish we had more time to stay longer. Food was delicious and great value. Staff were so pleasant and helpful.

Location and facilities (especially the garden)

We booked only including breakfast and reserved a table for dinner for our group of seven (all staying overnight) which was confirmed without any questions. When we arrived, we were handed a very basic menu to choose from (I.e. pangasius or chicken). Asking the waiter if we could please have a la carte menu, he said that the menu is included and there was no other option for us. When we arrived at dinner, external guests were having a la carte dinner, only our group was served the basic half board menu (though we did not book this). In contrast to the personell at the reception, service at dinner was quite poor.As the reception was not staffed in the evening we discussed the topic next day during checkout and were given the final answer that for overnight guests the half board menu is planned, while other guests are served a la carte which is by far another level. The half board menu was of course not included and charged additionally. We would have booked another place if we knew, as we were actually looking for proper dinner and service.

The room was spacious, and very nicely decorated, bed was really comfortable, staff was very friendly, we booked dinner, was really God at a very reasonable price, we definitely go back, when we are in this area again, very nice experience

Very friendly staff, clean room. Theres a shop near hotel to buy fresh fruits.Hotel is in a small village so not much is around but if you are looking for peace and quiet then this is the place for you. Very good 3 course dinner for 25€.

On the pictures it seems like there is a pool at the hotel but it reality it is on the other side of village and it was not possible for us to use it since it was closed at the time of our stay. In the hotel room there was no blanket and the bed matress was a bit hard.

They boast of being organic, slow food etc. but don't offer any of those products for breakfast or dinner. They sell it at the counter but don't offer them to their guests.

we enjoyed our stay very much. very quiet and beautiful building and gardens. staff was friendly and helpful.we had dinner at the restaurant and that was delicious. breakfast was plentiful and so good with fantastic cappuccinos and homemade crostata and yogurt cakes among many other offerings.

Very nice hotel, situated in a very little town. My room was nice and spacey. Just a little hot on the floor heating at night. Breakfast great, staff very friendly. On Sundays the restaurant is closed but they provided wine and some nice snacks. Great outside garden.

Beautiful place from the inside as well from the outside. And very well maintained. The restaurant is very good.

Smell of manure early in the morning. But heh, it is a working farm.

The location of the property is good, you do need a car though. You can reach a ton of places in 30 minutes like Parma, Garda Lake, Mantua and Cremona. Lovely roads to drive on as well. The grounds are beautifully designed, especially the garden and the pool area are beautiful with all the trees and soft grass, trimmed hedges etc. The pool seems great to swim in but has issues, it is located about 300m from the actual hotel, but its a lovely walk so no problems. You can even get a beer to bring with you to the pool if you want. If they open up a bar at the pool it would be amazing though.The bed was actually OK, with good mattress, the AC worked well so it was cool to sleep at night. Room was clean.Room has a small fridge which is awesome.The breakfast was OK, nothing spectacular but sufficient that kept us going through the day.The staff were friendly none of them really speaks English though

So why only 7? There were a couple of real issues that should be addressed by the hotel!The Security of rooms is terrible. When we first arrived we mistakenly went to the wrong room just to find out our key opens up ALL THE ROOMS! in the hotel. That is terrible security!!! You need to address this immediately.First of when we arrived at the pool there were dogs swimming in the pool which is very yucky. Some of the other guests that also arrived simply turned around at the sight. The pool area was also littered with dog poop. I understand that Hotel accepts dogs I also have a dog at home so I actually approve the policy, but they need to put more attention to the issues that come with that policy, and have a more hands on approach on the pool area as a whole. In all the times at the pool I never saw a single member of the staff came to check on things. Such a beautiful pool ruined by such basic mistakes.I understand that English is still a problem for the people of Italy but you really need to step your game up. The service we received in comparison to Italian speaking guests was totally different. It is not due to the staff not willing to help but just the language barrier is a problem that leads to a different level of experience. Like ordering a custom made breakfast.At one point one of the guests helped translate the conversation between us and the staff that was simply trying to ask us if we wanted something for lunch.When we arrived we received a piece of paper all written in Italian for us to sign, the receptionist didn't know how to explain what we were actually signing. Just translate the basic stuff to English please.The Hotel is very loud in the morning. There is no soundproofing so every step and every arrival and departure is clearly heard. I strongly recommend ear plugs.No way to darken the room & there was no toilet paper.Would I come back?

This is just a gem in the italian country side. Wonderfull staff, great kitchen and such a beautiful property. This place is perfect for relaxation.

There’s a two minute walk to the pool area, but the walk is more than worth it.
