Best Western Hotel Augusta

We had booked 2 rooms as there were 4 of us. The day we were to arrive, one of the people travelling with us had a medical emergency which landed them in the hospital for 5 days. We called to cancel one of the rooms and we were told that we could not cancel the room.

Breakfast was good. Room seemed clean. Location good.

Beds were hard as rocks. Obviously cheap mattresses. Staff was indifferent or seemed inconvenienced.

We had a wonderful stay at Best Western Hotel Augusta! The family room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. We loved having a separate sitting area that made it easy for everyone to relax. The location couldn’t have been better: right in the middle of the city center, so we could easily explore Augsburg on foot without needing the car. There was also a grocery store right next door, which was super convenient for grabbing breakfast and snacks in the morning. Overall, a great choice for families visiting Augsburg!

Parking in the nearby garage is not the most convenient if you have a lot of luggage. Parking in front of the building is not as straight forward for unloading as it could be and once you are in the recommended garage you have to pay no matter what to exit or reenter.

The hotel has a good location only a few minutes walking of the center of Augsburg.It's professionally managed - the room was very large and clean.Breakfast was nice and sufficient.

The bathroom in the very large room was (very clean but) rather small.The hotel does not provide an own parking place - public parking (garages) are available in about 3-5 minutes walking distance.

Perfect location of the hotel is perfect for tourists, because it is near the downtown and 16 minutes walk to the railway station.Everything was ok. But I was missing the fridge.

The hotel located in the heart of the touristic part of the city and it is nearby a supermarket which is very helpful in case you are staying in the weekend. In Sunday all shops are closed so being able to by some grocery on Saturday can be very convenient. The room is good, clean and comfortable.

Parking is expensive 15 euro for night. No minibar service

Booked the family room, which was uniquely large for Europe. Nothing fancy, but did the job.

Heating in the room could not be turned off. Opening the window was not a good option because of the noise from the streets. Mini Bar was locked. Very limited parking on the premise and the Augusta garage close to the hotel was fully occupied. The next parking garage charged us 34€ for the overnight stay.

The front desk staff were exceptional!!! They were easy to talk too. And, both the woman there on check in and the guy we spoke too when checking out were GREAT!! Thanks for making our 1 night stay enjoyable!!!!

The room was at the back of the building and was hence quiet, even with an open window during the night and despite the hotel's excellent central location. Whilst the room was of a reasonable size, it really only provided enough space for sleeping with just a small amount of desk space--no problem for a short stay though. The buffer breakfast was included in the room rate offered by Booking.com.

The reception staff were not very friendly, both on arrival and on departure.

I stayed for 2 nights in the comfort double room. I think only difference with standard double room is that it is not located in the street side. However, it is hard to say that it makes any difference because you can still hear TV from the next door or some guests are walking loud in the corridor. Since I was staying alone, room has enough space. Bed was also comfortable. In addition room includes black out curtains which is always nice to have. Location of the hotel was central easy access to tram and plenty of restaurants, supermarkets around. I booked with the breakfast, and the variety was good.

I would expect somehow better cleaning service, since there was a sock possibly from the previous guest laying under the small chair when I entered into the room. I simply booked Best Western just to not face with unpleasant surprises by accepting paying more and I would like to see it is worth it. It would also be nice if there is a mini fridge in the room. Also, I asked for iron and iron board; stuff at the reception nicely helped me. However, bottom of the iron almost sticked and marked my white shirt; luckily it is not on the visible area so that I can still wear it.

Loved the location! Right across from Old Town, short walk to the train, and a nice little market on the corner. The front desk staff were all very helpful and the cleaning staff were thorough. We traveled back and forth to Munich for site-seeing, and spent a little time in Augsburg as well. Excellent value for the money.

We found the mattress a little firm for our liking and they added a fluffy duvet under the sheets to make it more comfortable. A fridge would have been a welcome addition, but those are only included in larger suites.

A very good location, in the old city - this is what we were looking for. A very nice room with all amenities, comfortable beds. We paid for breakfast just for one day, it was kind of expensive. They don't have parking, but there is one next door where you can park and have a discount from the hotel. Very nice staff, very helpful and knowledgeable. There is a grocery store next door and a coffee shop across the street.

The breakfast was very good. The location was excellent for sightseeing. The room was only adequate based on the price paid (no English speaking channels on the TV, no fridge).

I originally booked 3 nights on 4th January (2024), at a cost of €399 through Booking.com. On 27th June using “Manage my booking” I added an extra night which should have cost an additional €118.68 or a total of €457.68 for the 4 nights. However ,I discovered that the total cost was €586 due to Booking.com effectively cancelling my original booking and charging a higher rate. Despite contacting the hotel vie email and Booking.com I got no satisfaction regarding the additional cost of €128.
