    Pros +

    • Great cozy room. Lovely breakfast. Great location in a park. Pretty and peaceful!
    • We stayed at this hotel many times over the past years, we like it a lot. One main reason is the breakfast buffet, and the breakfast room with view out into the park. The rooms are good, and the view is better the higher the floor is.
    • Room is cosy.

    Cons -

    • There are no complaints, there is no garage, but a nearby public parking lot where you always get a space.
    • 1). I reckon breakfast menu can be changed/improved. I had the same food for 5x continuous days.2). Houseflies spotted in my room - It's irritating3). Check-in time can be brought forward before 3pm.4). My room booking is through Booking.com and my requests for receipt/invoice is rejected as it is not paid to the hotel. Does it hurt to print out a receipt for guest?
    • Parking is closed and no wifi on the room.

I liked the comfy bed and pillow and that it's so close to the congress hall where I was attending an event. I couldn't go to spa, but there is one on the UG floor. The waitresses serving and clearing tables at breakfast were friendly and quick.

    - reception took too long even though there weren't that many people- in the 3rd floor room I stayed, there was no WiFi nor good 5G signal reception- ancient appliances - hair dryer blew just hot air; no coffee machine, just the cheap instant coffee sachets were provided; room wasn't lit much, light in the washroom was flickering- no bath tub- ancient low resolution small TV.. better replace it with 1940 projectors- window may only be reclined for safety purposes, which for my case broke it (hinges came off the sockets, that I managed to place them back in) - no use of balcony if you can't go outside. The view itself is that of an abandoned building with hipster graffiti- I didn't find breakfast to be "very excellent" it was average at best - I'm particular about croissants and coffee- on top of all this, some people smashed car doors with loud german rap/hipster music playing very early morning

The bed was not comfortable at all. I wanted a double bed, but there were two single beds joined together and the beds were always separated while sleeping. Also, I paid 25€ for the romantic theme, only the heart sign was made with fake rose petals, it was very simple and seemed like a joke.

The breakfast buffet was amazing. Very friendly staff too.

The shower drain was clogged up and had to wait until the water was out it was not good.

the hotel felt a bit dated, but it wasn’t uncomfortable. The price is good

I wasn’t satisfied with the cleanliness of the hotel. The bathroom door didn't close properly. Stayed 2 nights and my hotel room wasn’t cleaned had to go to reception for towels

Very close to the concert venue. Literally a two minute walk from the hotel to the Kongresshalle

Parking was tricky, probably because of the concert that most people at the hotel were attending. But we did eventually find parking at a nearby stadium.

Good stay overall. Spacious, clean rooms with a good view.

Parking was a bit far and an iron and ironing board on the room would have been nice.

    7PaoloPosted on: 9-9-2024

Breakfast was really really nice, one of the best had in Germany so far.

Booking offers the choice of beds (queen vs double beds), but the hotel apprently "only has singles put together so they make a king size bed" even after they confirm your selection of a queen size bed. The SPA is really just a sauna with a ice/snow fountain.

Friendly and helpful staff and great breakfast! The room was large and very clean! I would recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Augsburg.

    8AndrewPosted on: 9-3-2024

The view was amazing. Having a balcony was a huge positive. Breakfast was good and convenient. The Dorint is short walking distance from the main part of the city! A major beautiful park surrounds the Augsburg Dorint!

We had a small problem with refrigerator and a problem with continuous 'running water' in the toilet at times. The button had to be pressed to stop the issue on a couple of occasions.

Loved the balcony and the view of the city from our room on the 11th floor. Staff were friendly and we had a comfortable and quiet stay .

    6JerryPosted on: 8-17-2024

A few staff members were friendly. Decent location in Augsburg, Germany.

No access to view the city from top floor of hotel, but it is advertised as an attraction on the website and correspondence. Front desk said "no, you cannot see the city from the top floor, sorry". Beds were a bit antiquated and uncomfortable and kept sliding apart during the night, and not all TV channels worked.

    Staff cooperation and ambience

WiFi was not secured. Repeated request to cookies was appearing and hence did not feel secured to use the WiFi

    4DanielPosted on: 7-18-2024

    location

outdated, premises should have meen renovated 20 years ago. housekeeping missed to attend the room 3 out of 10 days. front desk staff seemed like like trainees for hotelerie, standard answer "well, there is nothing I can do about it"

    6SarahPosted on: 6-25-2024

Room was clean and had everything I would need

Had to ask for a second pillow as they are so airy and breakfast was €25 per day which is so expensive so had to find food elsewhere

Comfortable bed, good sized bathroom, had a mini refrigerator for milk etc. Location was 50 metres from tram, 3 stops to the Alstadt. Nice building architecturally.
