Yes, inside the hotel, all facilities are good, very clean.

They renovated the building, some time is noise.

Building is unique and well located in the city. Curry restaurant in the same building had good food and drink selection. Stayed in a private room so I cannot speak for the shared areas.

Not the hotel's fault but one of the main reasons I picked this hotel was the proximity to the Mt Hakodate tram, which I did not know would be closed for inspection during our stay. The building exterior was also under construction during our stay, which was a shame because the architecture looks great in the pictures.

Such a beautiful historical building. The dorm was super comfortable. The terrace is amazing. The location was ideal. Would definitely stay again and for a longer time. Hakodate is such a beautiful city.

For the dormitory it was really good. Great amenities (showers, toilets, beds, laundry, pyjamas etc.)Great location close to a lot of attractions.Loved the buildings architecture.Rooftop views of the city.Highly recommend!

some other guests were rude in the kitchen.And knives have to be brought from the front desk to the kitchen in the top of the building!

The room was very clean and affordable We rented bikes which was the highlight of our sightseeing trip as we were able to do a lot more in a shorter period of time.

Some of the staff we encountered did not speak very good English and it was difficult to get answers to questions.

Good location next to the water. Not near the station.

Shower and bathroom facilities were not on same floor as dorm room. Mixed dorm room felt expensive for the price.

I always seek out interesting places to stay, and the fact that HakoBA is in a converted bank building gives it a lot of character! Even though the bathrooms are communal, they are clean. The other guests seemed very considerate of each other. We made good use of the kitchen space and the laundry facilities. I also found the location to be right in the heart of things we wanted to do in Hakodate.

This hotel was by far one of the best places we’ve stayed in. Location was nice and convenient, close to the bay. Biggest bathroom space that we ever had during our entire trip. Super clean and comfy!

The bathroom is amazing, it's got the most advanced shower module and the deepest and widest Japanese tub!

- Staff was very accommodating. I told them that I will arrive late and that it is okay to cancel without refund. But he was willing to wait despite me walking over there in the rain- The amenities are plenty, esp the bathrobes and towels- The elevator makes it quite convenient to transport luggage

- Someone was snoring so loudly on one night that I couldn’t sleep properly. I would suggest making earplugs available to help minimize loud noises

This hostel is amazing! Comfortable dorm, really clean toilet and you have everything you need. There is also very big kitchen! Feel good in this hostel, and is in a perfect area to enjoy the city. Thanks! I recommend and come back!

Great location in motomachi, interesting architecture and history.

Quite small, especially for those sleeping on the top bed. Male washroom smelt quite bad both days.

Amazing stay, near to the prime locations and sea front. Amazing staff, they even kept my luggage safe after checkout.

The location was great and it was around the corner from the tram line.

The male lavatory and shower room were two floors below the dormitory, so it was inconvenient to use the bathroom. The lounge rooms was also too hot to properly rest in.

The location was perfect many tourist attractions were nearby and easy to reach. Friendly staff and overall a great experience.
