Kuretake Inn Asahikawa

The breakfast and Happy Hour drink and curry were great at setting us up for our ski days, and then a nice way to arrive back at the Hotel in the evening. The staff were very helpful. Choice of toiletries was excellent. We used the parking which was convienient. The massage chairs in the Gym area were a great find. Hotel was close to entertainment and shopping.

Room was tight for 2 people with suitcases and ski gear, but a typical Japanese room size and still workable.

It looks like an old hotel , but it’s clean and the breakfast is delicious. I’ve stayed in many hotels in Hokkaido ,and the milk served here is the best.

Location was good! Walking distance to JR train station, multiple car rentals, lots of good food & Aeon Mall. Hotel was clean, staff very friendly & ready to serve. Happy hour free drinks in the evening. Good breakfast.

Wall paint was peeling, hotel is a little old but clean and functional.

Elevator is scary, if no one hold the “open” button, the door closes regardless if you are still entering with luggage’s.

A bit difficult to find

Good location, nice breakfast, every evening you can get a free drink and curry. It was comfortable and the had all that we needed. The room was nice and clean

Paid parking within the hotel and not cheap

Very good location, close to restaurants and shops, with bus stops close by and just a few blocks away from the station. Parking available on site. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good.

Nice, small older hotel, with very helpful and friendly staff. Standard (smaller) rooms with good beds. Quiet rooms. Great location near excellent restaurants in nice part of the city. Elevator-style parking right in back of building. A lovely happy hour with snacks and a free drink.

Lobby is a bit stark (no where to sit and relax other than in the breakfast/happy hour table area).

The breakfast was varied local foods, variety. Not much cereal.

Bed room was quite compact

Pros: friendly staff, good location, generally clean, happy hour, ping pong table, massage chairs, good value

Cons: outdated, deep cleaning or renovation needed, paid parking (as opposed to included)

Buffet breakfast was good. Happy hour was provided and free - had a good selection of alcoholic drinks and curry + rice was also available. Unfortunately, due to the timing we didn't make the most of it.Free laundry and ice.

Can be a bit of a wait to collect your car from the automated car park but it was great to not have to shovel snow off the car each day.

Great location and easy access if you take any bus as they stop right infront of the hotel or at most 100-200 meters away only. The JR train station is really nearby too. Their breakfast buffet was delicious and had good options, they do change some dishes every day as well. Love that they give you a free drink(non-alcoholic/alcoholic options available!) and curry rice in the evenings! The staff were all very kind as well.

This is just my personal preference that room pillows were too soft to my liking but they do provide different type of pillows at the lobby. It is first come first serve, so be sure to grab one when you check-in.

Breakfast was excellent and quite a lot better than some more expensive restaurants, room was clean although quite small.

Got a smoking room, which I didn’t ask and unfortunately the hotel was full and changes couldn’t be made. The interior is a bit older and the bed is quite small and uncomfortable, and there are no TV channels in non-Japanese language too.

easy to access (literally the bus stop is in front of the hotel lobby), get free breakfast & even they provide mini skincare like face wash, cleansing oil & face cream), get free drinks with 20 varieties of liqueur from 6-8 pm

Hotel is located about 500m from the Asahikawa station.

Breakfast should be improved. A microwave oven should be provided in a common area.
