    Pros +

    • The hotel room was spacious and extra clean. The duplex bedrooms were suitable for our family. Onsen was spacious but rather simple. Unfortunately outdoor onsen was closed when we were there.
    • The room was very spacious and well done wup with good amenities. The water however seemed hard and left the hair frizzy.
    • Location

    Cons -

    • We took the breakfast and dinner option at the hotel, however the menu was repetitive, boring. There were no chnages during our four day stay. Last day we preferred to eat outside even tough we had paid up for the food in advance.
    • The food was not kept hot - most of it was cold by the time we ate it. The outdoor bath was closed. The men’s bathroom was out of order. Many of the toilets were out of order. The hotel itself seemed very run down.
    • The outside Onsen was a cold pool and would have been better if it was hot. It was drained on the third day which was disappointing.

Fantastic rooms. Great meals. Excellent Onsen. Fantastic location.

Perfect location for our Ski trip, very close to the ropeway and facilities were everything you would expect from a 5 star onsen hotel.

No massage services on site, this could be an improvement and much used service.

    9MonikaPosted on: 2-7-2025

Food, the room, access to ropeway.

Unfortunately the outdoor onsen was not open.

    10KameronPosted on: 2-6-2025

The hotel is right at the base of the ropeway of Asahidake. The hotel is beautiful and the onsen is fantastic. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant had a lot of options for different kinds of food.

    10rianPosted on: 1-23-2025

Right near ropeway. Full onsen with steam, sauna and hot baths and cold plunge. Breakfast & dinner lots of choices for buffet.

    10LiPosted on: 10-29-2024

Spacious rooms and chilled environment. Tried the room with balcony and got to enjoy viewing shooting stars. One of the best reason for putting Asahidake Onsen as a Hokkaido pitstop despite the obscure location.

    None really.

    9TinnachartPosted on: 10-28-2024

Breakfast is average. But, tamagoyaki (Japanese omelette) and scramble egg are fantastic.Beef, main course dinner is great.Quiet and private atmosphere. Room is in great condition and comfortable.

Hotel bar and cafe are close during our stay, it might be open during ski season. If the hotel could provide gym facility would be nice.

    10WinniePosted on: 10-24-2024

Very big rooms, right next to the ropeway and hiking tracks, good hospitality

A bit of a drive from town but still manageable for us

    10AndrewPosted on: 10-23-2024

The room space you get is unheard of anywhere in Japan. Staff are also reasonably accommodating of requests and parking is free to utilize as a guest, especially if you're spending the day hiking before checking in.

Staff doesn't really speak English, you'd best be prepared to resort to translation apps in a pinch. If you're coming here for the clear night skies, be prepared to travel to a dark corner; street lights are a little too bright for that.

    10SudumpaiPosted on: 10-21-2024

The room was huge for us .I love the electric towel hanger. No outdoor onsen but cold one after sauna outdoor. It has both steamer and sauna.Buffet was nice with tender beef or hotate serve to each person. There is one waiter who is thai that treated us very well.Close to ropeway , easy to access after hiking. We love moutain air.

    No fruits at dinner time.

    10PeterPosted on: 10-13-2024

Great food, both breakfast and dinner. Onsen is fantastic with different. baths, cold plunge and saunas.

More shuttles. We had to take Taxi both directions.

    8EyalPosted on: 10-4-2024

    Large room, spa/bath

In general you feel like they try to save on you. Don’t put amenities in the rooms and ask you to go down to pick some. They don’t allow to take water out of the spa etc. Mediocre dinner and breakfast.

    9JovitaPosted on: 9-30-2024

We very much enjoyed our stay at the hotel, price and what you get for it is excellent. Food great, location great (just at the rope way), onsen simple but clean and very functional, rooms spacious

    All was good

    10SimonPosted on: 8-13-2024

Fabulous onsen hotel at the end of the road at the top of a mountain and next to the cable car. Rooms (we had a double and two singles) were huge with sitting areas, large bathrooms and very comfortable beds. Buffet style dinner was good and the onsen bath was a delight. Highly recommended.

    10TakPosted on: 8-10-2024

The room is big and beautiful Free laundry Closing to the cable car station

Breakfast is the same everyday and cannot early check in , not even 15 mins

    10Ploy-judaPosted on: 7-30-2024

The room is really spacious and nice. The dinner and breakfast buffet are great. The hotel location is very close to the ropeway. Recommended to stay here.
