Pros +
- Free parking
- The location was great, nearby the beautiful Asahi bridge and Tokiwakoen. The staffs were extremely helpful and nice. The parking was convenient. The room was spacious enough. This stay was a good value of money.
- The room was clean and nice though it looked a bit old from outside. The parking was free!!! (apparently even expensive hotels in this city will charge you for parking). The staff were very helpful. We had to cancel the second day because of the change of plans and they did it for free even with a short notice on the same day. Beautiful park just beside the hotel
Cons -
- The smell of cigarettes in the room. An uncomfortable mattress
- The facilities were a bit smaller and old.
- The entrance of the hotel needs a cleaning and organization. Carpets were dirty and there was clutter in the reception area. The room was a tatami room, it was ok. However, The bidet on our toilet bowl came off the bowl. Property really needs an update.

Great location, free parking, good staff, quiet and unbeatable value.
Dated BUT still great value.
Location was stupid close to the Asahikawa winter festival. It was walking distance to the main commercial street that goes to the train station. There isn't much more i wanted to see that this accommodation was a limiting factor.
The gas heater. It didn't make me feel safe given i haven't used one before and there aren't very many where i'm from. I was really glad the wall ventilator also offered heat unlike the one i have at home. Gas leaks are a serious health concern. I'm very cognizant of other cultures and energy situations. Asahikawa gets cold, gas is cheap, burning it solves the immediate cold problem. My issue is using it safely. You should vent the room periodically when using a gas heater, my main issues is simply not really knowing how to safely use it. You know screwing up is just monoxide poisoning, fun times in one's sleep destination.
The rooms were really nice and homey. Had a desk and baskets ect.. really felt like you were coming home.A bit far from the station bus stops right outside. If you're staying for the snow festival it's perfect, you can see them building the snow structures.
Building needs some tlc
We were indoors instead of out in the cold. The airconditioning unit in the room was new and worked but didn't get warm enough.
I don't like leaving negative reviews but this was the most poor & misrepresented hotel I have ever stayed. It was really dirty and old, not clean at all. The pictures & reviews were misleading. The "futons" in the Tatami/Twin room were so thin & covered in ?semen stains, I found a ginger pubic hair inside the quilt/duvet cover sheet so obviously not cleaned after previous guest. The bathroom was mouldy & rusty old shower curtain. No pride taken in cleanliness or presentation at all. Room so tiny, as you can see from pictures we barely fit the 2 of us after having to move the table. We arrived late and had to check in via an auto code machine which had an error and wouldn't let us into the room- my partner had to call the staff (not present at front desk from 7pm apparently, but also no one present the next day at 10am checkout either) and he had to speak in complicated Japanese in order to get it sorted out so we could get in- definitely do not recommend this hotel to foreigners with limited language skills. The parking was free, yes, but in a dingy alleyway. The lobby was so disgusting & dirty, so uninviting. My partner went down for the breakfast & said it was terrible and not worth paying for which we both did in advance. It is in a weird part of town where there is nothing nearby for other food options, have to have a car and drive to food or walk 20-30 minutes. I definitely want a refund and would not recommend this hotel to anyone
Very nice place, great location next to a beautiful park and the best ramen restaurant in Asahikawa. Very friendly owner and staff. Spent a lot of time helping me plan my trip to biei. Comfortable bed, good value.
Affordable, free breakfast and parking area was free of charge.
Small bathroom, but I think it's common in Japan. So size wasn't a big deal anyway.
Location with a car was great. We had one tatami room - very comfortable and one regular room - also comfortable. The bedding was nice and easy to set up in the tatami room. The staff was very helpful and check in at self help computer station very efficient. Its calm and quiet there. The value for money was the best we encountered on Hokkaido.
No translation on hot water dispenser - but with google translate it worked out. Would be helpful as many non Japanese staying there too.
Location
Bathroom was very small and the curtains had mold on it.
Awesome team and nice room.
The bed is a little too soft but I guess it’s personal taste.
Good value for price paid. Very practical large room with a full-sized fridge, kitchenette on the same level. Helpful staff. Free parking (limited spaces). Beside a park.
Convenience stores and restaurants were a little bit of a walk.
Nice location next to some beautiful areas to walk around, and just a couple of bus stops away from the main station. The room is simple but has everything you might need, and there's a microwave, plates and glasses available to use just a couple of steps away.
Nothing in particular.
Friendly staff and good heating in the room. After all this Hokkaido in the Spring!
Tricky door opening system with a key pad that sometimes took a while to work.
Clean, friendly staff, super easy parking, which was much appreciated.
Small, communal kitchen area was pretty grubby. Room very small, with Japanese bedding, which, to be honest, I wasn’t expecting, and which I’m not used to, so no fault there on the part of the hotel at all. But it was warm, and the room itself, and it’s bathroom were very clean. To be fair, this is extremely budget accommodation, so really, there is no ground for complaint.
Nice and cheap Staff very helpful and friendly About an hour's bus from Kamui and Pippu for skiing Looking over the bridge and the ice festival. Really close to a great park!
Only a kettle and microwave for cooking facilities. The toilet and shower room was small. Also the shower leaked but the staff fixed the issue when made aware within 30 minutes.
Room was relatively spacious. Lobby smelled great. Free parking. Self check in available.
Heat insulation was poor in the room. It was very cold even with the heater turned on. Limited parking space.
Very good price. A nice room with a comfortable double bed. Great buffet breakfast in the morning time. Free parking space for my car. The walk to the city centre is fully lit up with lovely winter lights.
