Uniqueness of property
Elevator not working, had to carry suitcases up 5 flights of stairs. Bathroom was super tiny and hardly any privacy to bedroom. No refrigerator for meds.
Quirky hotel. Really cool how every room has its own decoration. The restaurant is very good, we were served by a lovely male waiter from Croatia.
We are a family and we were surprised that we got two rooms at different floors and very different sides of the hotel. The lady at reception was very unfriendly and downright rude when we explained that we’d like to have two rooms closer together. A shame, as it gave us a very bad first impression of the hotel and we met plenty of very nice people afterwards.
Friendly staff, quirky hotel, lots of collectables with no overriding theme. Great breakfast, take a look round before you choose.
Car park not signed or easy to find. It is directly behind the main building.
The location and the design is absolutely stunning. You'll smile all the time.
The looks can not cover the fact that many things would need better care and maintenance. Wires here and there hanging from the wall, furniture that should be replaced or at repaired or the elevator that is at a terrible state
An eclectic choice of rooms. In the end I settled for a room on the second floor at the back of the hotel, which turned out to be blissfully quiet, with none of the ambient noise you get from modern hotels. The bar and restaurant area was friendly and lively, very welcome after a week in relatively characterless establishments further east. The trout I ordered was delicious.
I was forewarned about the church bells behind the hotel, which chimed for a couple of minutes at 7am, but I went to bed early and was already awake at that time, and managed to get to sleep again afterwards.
Great hotel and friendly staff. Fabulous breakfast.Quiet and comfortable room with bar and restaurants attached.
Very nice communication and nice location in centre of small town.
Church bells in the morning :) quite early wake up call!
one of the best Art Hotels so far - very nice and good ideas all around the place - in the rooms, the hotel facilieties and also the restaurants. The restaurant and the bar section are made up with an idea of upcycling old articles of daily use for example old cooking places or ovens- great ideas. The only thing you have to get used too - the hotel is situated on a main streets of the city, so you got to be very tolerant with street noises by cars, motorcycles and drunken people walking home at night, shouting and yelling their souls out.But we liked it and we will surely return in the future, because Spittal is a good place to start hiking tours or swimming in the lakes around.
Receptionist excellent, food excellent. Quirky decor.
Glass door to the bathroom not good. Wi-Fi intermittent.
Each room is a surprise and very spacious. This time we had room Goldeck 218 where we could even see arty stars on the ceiling, that made this night very special. Breakfast is always outstanding. Thanks very much to the whole team and staff that makes this happen ?
Everything was really satisfying
impossible to describe the style of this hotel. it is a mix of old and new, funky, bright, stylish, and arty. we loved the use of tiles and stencils in the corridors. Bedroom 222 was big and bright. Restaurant has a great choice of dishes including Thai, pizza and grilled meats. Great value and superb service. Big parking at back of hotel and friendly check in.
great location and very clean facilities. Great staff available to help ??
This was an awesome stay. The staff was extremely kind, helpful and attentive. The breakfast was wonderful. The room was clean. The hotel is located in the city center. 10/10 experience.
I loved everything.
Secure place for bicycles. Dog friendly. Very good restaurant.
The concept of the hotel is somehow based on a museum-like private collection - very entertaining. Spacious rooms without air conditioning, the rooms towards the road can be loud. Local companies are reflected in the rooms (bed surrounded by boxes of plexiglas-covered pills). Very friendly, welcoming staff, great food in the nearby restaurant - it´s THE place in Spittal.PS. We stayed for one night during the Alpe Adria Bike trail - bikes were parked in a shop :-) !
The noise of the road-site rooms might be annoying for some guests.
The Lady on reception was outstandingly helpful to us and cleaning staff very friendly.Pizzas were delicious! The whole area downstairs was incredible decor as several restaurants bars and games room which spread to seating area outside. Worth spending time here.Great bike storage room provided.Breakfast choice was superb.Late checkout at 11 am. Gave time to observe everything downstairs!Comfy bed in room and TV, welcome cool air fan provided.
The decor in our room was very edgy with clashing colours and fluorescent strip lights as bedside lamps, which were too harsh and bright. The beautiful wooden floor was partially hidden by a large cowhide mat which was not to our taste. The curtains have passed their time, thin faded and a few hooks broken. ,
it is In a very good place
the floor was making so much noise that a person walking on top disturbed, also the walls are not really not protecting privacy I couldn’t sleep because the couple next door were having adult time so loud ?
