    Cons -

    • The pool area was a little small, but it was not that bad.
    • I wish I could give this hotel zero stars. As a frequent traveler, this was by far one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had.I booked a Junior Suite based on more than 10 photos shown on Booking.com. However, upon arrival I was given a completely different (and much worse) room. When I pointed this out, showing the listing photos, the manager dismissively claimed those pictures belonged to a “different category.” After I insisted, he began raising his voice at me — unprofessional and extremely rude behavior for someone in hospitality.Only after further pushing did they switch me to the correct room type, but instead of offering an apology or consideration, they deliberately placed us in a far corner room. I overheard the manager instruct staff to give me a “smaller room.” This was not only dishonest but also inconsiderate, as I was traveling with my mother (who has back issues) and my one-year-old daughter. The location of the room meant unnecessary walking up and down stairs just to reach reception. When I asked to cancel the stay, I was told I could leave but would not receive any refund. Even when I requested to stay just one night (despite my negative experience) and cancel the remaining two nights — which included my birthday — they flatly refused. The lack of empathy, the disrespectful treatment, and the deceptive room advertising made this stay absolutely miserable. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially families or those seeking a welcoming environment. Guests deserve honesty, professionalism, and respect — none of which I received here.

Comfortable hotel near the train and bus stations. Staff was polite and helpful in structuring my one day in Garmisch. There are lots of features I didn’t have time to take advantage of such as the pool and spa. The breakfast and evening snack were tasty.

Staff were amazingly accommodating and friendly to our young family, always finding ways to do a little extra to make it easier for us. Breakfast was solid, generous. Bed was very comfy. Room was spacious, and we had balcony, which we weren't expecting for some reason.

Great staff. Great location Nice sauna Convenient ski lockers

We had a family suite and it was adorable and traditional Bavarian but the antique furniture/couches were not comfortable for lounging

The property has a lot of charm and many rooms. The pool was nice and the breakfast was good. The manager was nice and friendly.

When we arrived there were dirty dishes in our sink and when we had our room cleaned very little was done to straighten up. Also the property doesn’t serve dinner rather snacks in the evening time.

The location is perfect! It takes 5 minutes to get to the main station on foot. So you can catch a Zugspitze train without early getting up.There was a free “tea time” in the hotel. Till 5 pm one could get free coffee or tea with some sweets. Was great to warm up after a day in snowy mountains.

The sauna, which we expected to be our evening time spending was really small (they turned on only one small cabin for us). The swimming pool was extremely cold… and every space in the wellness centre was freezing cold.

    9StephaniePosted on: 10-15-2024

The property sits next to the mountains and the suite I stayed in was so quaint and relaxing. The bed was so comfortable to sleep in and the balcony was amazing. I also enjoyed the spa area. It was nice and private and the water felt amazing.

    9DaniellaPosted on: 10-6-2024

This was our second time at this hotel, and we don't regret it. Good location. Variety of options for breakfast. The pool and sauna are renovated.

We stayed in a family room. The sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable for sleeping. It needs to be upgraded / changed. The pool water and the whole pool area were very cold.

We loved our room and it had beautiful views of the mountains. The wrap around porch was wonderful, and the bathroom newly renovated and very generous in size. We enjoyed the indoor pool very much.

The parking in the basement was great but it was a little quirky getting ourselves upstairs from the garage.

    7RogerPosted on: 9-29-2024

Breakfast was good. The view was excellent.

A plan showing the route to your room. The hotel is made up of different areas, perhaps multiple buildings joined together to form the current location, which makes it difficult to navigate. The elevators are a complete mystery as to where they take you. We found 3 separate elevators in the hotel none of which will take you directly to your floor.

    7MalinPosted on: 9-21-2024

Good location, close to the railway station and in the middle of town. An old hotel with plenty of athmosphere, but could need some refurbishing. The room was spacious, bathroom not the newest, but ok. We could leave luggage in the hotel next day when we went to Zugspitze (can recommend that).

    10DoloresPosted on: 9-20-2024

The room was spacious and quiet with old world charm. The beds were comfortable. Part of our group hadn't been to Europe before and they enjoyed the originality of the place. The pool and spa came in handy after a long day. The breakfast was plentiful and good. Coffee/tea was available at all times. It was walkable to the tourist information restaurants and shopping. Unfortunately it rained most of our stay so I can not comment on the views.

The hot tub could have been hotter.

very rich and diverse breakfaststaff is very friendly and helpful - we had a misunderstanding with our room which was solved the next morning.kids loved the pool

    10MikaPosted on: 8-25-2024

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel very much. It is beautiful in a classy way with large rooms and decorated with taste. The breakfast was very good with a good selection of products. Eggs, sausages, different varieties of cheese, pastries and marmelades, honey and the best teas i found at a hotel so far.

We only regret we didn’t stayed longer.

    7DroidguyPosted on: 8-10-2024

Location is great. Close to station and very walkable to major attractions. Staff was cordial.

Breakfast was rather ok for the price.. very bad lighting in the room. No AC. Hotel needs renovation.
