Pros +
- View from the windows Pool
- We were running late due to traffic and they kept the dinner buffet open while we checked in
- Location, facilities, breakfasts, staff super friendly. Everything was perfect ! Good parking
Cons -
- No kettle in the room No tea station No amenities ( pads, shower caps, etc) No daily housekeeping No water in the bedroom
- The a/c was for the whole hotel , not individual rooms, which got hot
- Nearly every member of the staff is downright rude and we didn’t feel safe. Someone entered our room in the middle of the night when we had the deadbolt locked which means there’s no way of truly making sure no one enters your room when you’re asleep.

The hotel’s location is excellent, just steps from the train station and right in the heart of the town making it an ideal base for exploring the area. The heated indoor and outdoor pools were a wonderful way to unwind after a full day of sightseeing. Our room was spacious with a very comfortable seating area. The hotel also offers daily tours to various destinations, and the staff were outstanding, always friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to help with questions or assist in planning our day trips. A special mention goes to Laura, arranged a beautiful birthday table for my wife at breakfast on our final morning at short notice, which made the experience extra special. Breakfast itself was excellent, with a wide variety of options to suit everyone.

The location and the spa

Wonderful location near the station, excellent breakfast and dinner, nice spa area. We loved the outdoor pool, it’s warm enough if you keep moving. There is a luggage storage room and access to ski room, spa and afternoon cakes even after check-out.
There seems to be a constant chaos at the reception. There’s enough staff, they are willing to help but they’re not efficient. No slippers. Would be helpful when going to the spa area. People walk barefoot, on socks or have to buy flip-flops.I would go back to the hotel but not to this ski resort. First ski bus is already full, the later ones didn’t arrive for the next hour. Never managed to get to the slopes early, always issues. No connections between ski lifts. Public transport is horrible, buses once per hour on weekends (including the one taking to one of the ski lifts). Accordingly, many cars and traffic jams. Very crowded. Lots of ski schools for kids, so maybe better for families with cars. Or intermediate skiers avoiding Hausbergbahn.
Location is perfect for walking anywhere and everywhere in Garmisch. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options to include fresh made eggs/omelets or a standard German breakfast. The spa and fitness center were great as well and the pool was amazing!
I don't really have any negatives. The price is high but worth it for what is included (sauna and breakfast). Parking was a bit pricey but I imagine we could have parked somewhere else - it was convenient to have parking at the hotel (underground).
Location is perfect.
No hotel phone, room service, had to ask several times for a room clean. They skipped the first day, then on second arrived after 6pm to clean. Then day of check out barged in at 9:45 without knocking for who no reason.
Thermal bath and sauna .. great experience !
House keeping every alternate day .. also they did not refill soaps and shampoo though it was completely empty, had to call them again to do it ..
Spa area, Parking (but 18 Euro/day), Location and Skiroom.Good stuff at the bar area.
Our room was “cleaned” only once in four days, and that happened only after we had to actively chase the housekeeping staff ourselves. In addition, there were small children everywhere — including in the jacuzzi and the sauna — despite the fact that the hotel has a designated children’s area.
Very good locationThe stuff was very helpful and nice, especially Joas.
Location
This hotel is not much cheaper than the nicer options in town so spend the extra as this is not worth the little savings - The Building is not designed to accomodate the volume of guests so its hard to relax in this hotel, and NOT suited for couples Breakfast, lobby, spa were crowded and cramped so guests are on top of each other. Had to wait for a table at breakfast, lines for food - reminded me of a cafateria in a college dorm. Same goes for staff, hotel is understaffed given the volume so they are rushed helping guests - one woman So rude “hi can you tell us how to book a spa appointment” - “sorry i dont work on the spa” and looked away back to what she was doing, so cringe. The rooms are VERY cramped given the price, the bathroom is too small. I think a very inexperienced architect designed this hotel, some tips for owners: Garnish is a luxury destination, I’d cull 30% of the rooms and convert them to larger suites as this is geared toward families anyway. And the jacuzzi wasnt hot? WTF.
Location! Breakfast was tasty.
Expensive for what we got! The only in-room amenities were a hair dryer and soap. There wasn’t a safe, a refrigerator or even a pen and paper! Spa area was nice, but people put towels on lounge chairs and left for hours at a time. Hard to find a place in the relaxation room - yet, no one was there! Lots for signs posted but they were only in German so I had no idea what they were saying (lots of English speaking guests)! No hot tub! A total waste of money! Person checking us in had heavy accent/ not sure what she told us! Strange room design. A window above the bathroom sink that looked into bedroom?
we like to be in the spa.good food in breakfast.good service .
we missed option of make coffee in the room .
Spa facilities were amazing
Breakfast was mediocre. Same thing every day. Could have switched things up, such as the "hot food".
Our stay at this hotel was truly excellent. From the warm and professional service at the reception to the comfort of the room, everything exceeded our expectations. The facilities were outstanding, making our experience even more enjoyable. We are very impressed and will definitely plan another stay here soon.
everything was great
The facilities are great! Perfectly located, as it is right by the main train station, near the center of town, in front of a grocery store, and ton of restaurants. The Spa was amazing!
I loved everything about it, except one person at the front desk was extremely rude to my partner for not understanding what she was asking him. Everyone else was soooooooooooo kind!
The rooms are comfortable and spacious. The spa facilities are amazing! It’s very close to anything else in Garmisch. Breakfast and dinner buffets were delicious and well balanced.
Rooms were a bit too warm and the street is noisy so it wasn’t possible to just open the window at night.
Staff in front desk and restaurant + food was perfect
