This traditional, family-owned hotel is located in the heart of the beautiful Old Town of Füssen, in the Eastern Allgäu region, close to the Austrian border. Modern rooms at the Altstadt Hotel offer free Wi-Fi, cable TV and a private bathroom. Bright colors and pretty paintings create a homelike feel. Hearty regional cuisine is served in the classic-style restaurant, a breakfast buffet is also provided. The Altstadt-Hotel zum Hechten is also convenient for people wishing to discover the beautiful surroundings. Go hiking in the surrounding countryside or take a day-trip to nearby Austria. Private parking spaces are available at the hotel. These must be reserved in advance and cost extra.

- Great location, very clean, fantastic restaurant!
- Hotel's character, proximity to Neuschwanstein, restaurant.
Cons -
- Underground parking inconvenient when checking in and bringing luggage to the room (at the time, there was no room in the parking lot to even park for 5 minutes to unload the vehicle)
