Hotel Wendelstein

Breakfast was sufficient to fuel us up for a lovely morning walking and shopping around the old town. Location was perfect for visiting the market place and strolling along the river. Dinner in the restaurant that evening was delightful!

My friend and I booked a twin room so we could each have a bed. It seems as though the room was designed to be a single and the second bed was an afterthought. The second bed was not at all comfortable.

I arrived at the hotel after a long flight and commuty but the receptionist was very kind and friendly.. The room vas big enough for a solo taveler. It was clean.

The must be renovated. The carpet on the floor wad stained, the tile in the bathroom was cracked and dented.

Very cozy "old-school" hotel for the lower to middle budgets. Owners extremely nice and friendly. The house is not newly renovated, but everything is there and works. Good breakfast. Close to the train station, and in a shopping street that is quiet at night.

The beds are difficult for tall people.

We were on an overnight stop due to a train cancellation so its proximity to the station was helpful

Tea making facilities in the bedroom would have been nice

Beautiful surprise when we drove to the quaint little town through the city walls.

Parking was a few hundred meters away and the stairs were steep to carry two heavy suitcases but OK if you travel light.

Good location near Station. Not able to open windows as on main road and building work opposite. No air conditioning and in a heat wave.Family room shower at chest height. Desk not occupied many hours..and communication minimal.Family room spacious...actually 2 rooms.Good wi fi. Excellent bread and coffee shop over road

Room at rear ok...quiet. booked twin room not available. Shower room a bit tired...Water pressure variable when other guests having showers.

Overall, it was a great hotel with an amazing history.

As soon as I asked for a possible late check out, the answer was that it cost money. When I wanted to check out, there was nobody at the reception. Everyone was at the breakfast place. It was written just: leave the key there. So there was no way to say goodbye...There is no air conditioning, and there were a lot of flies in the room.

It’s well located, only 2 min walk from Rosenheim train station. The building had a lot of character as it’s been a hotel for over a century. Great soundproof to the corridor as room has 2 doors.

Somehow they thought it’d be a good idea to do works on other rooms very early in the morning. There was drilling and hammering from 7am??? Which woke me up. Very poor soundproof to neighbouring rooms, I could hear conversations from the next room.

Stayed here on a cycling trip, and the hotel was super bike friendly, with a locked garage. Hotel was a great 19th century building with nicely updated rooms. Especially liked the tall ceilings and the location.

Super friendly staff!! Hotel centrally located and was pleasant. Breakfast had everything one needs to start the day and the coffee was good!

We had a room close to the steps and it was a bit loud when others came in. Otherwise we were pleased with the location.

It was clean and serene. Just what i need for the night after a long day.

There weren't towels in my room, but i guess that was forgotten. No worries because immediately i pointed that out, it was fixed immediately.

Unfortunately very cold day with weak heating system, I had to change the room. Also generally cold hotel.

A 5G hotel!What a perfectly anachronistic hotel this is.: "Hotel Wendelstein, a cosy city hotel in the heart of Rosenheim."The hotel has existed since 1890 and today is in the fifth generation of the family.

The decor is a little sad and tired looking.The bathroom fan was loud.The floorboards squeaked.

Rooms are comfortable and clean (Nr. 8 and 12).

The location was good. It is close to the historic part of town.

The shower was only usable to briefly wet down and then rinse off after lathering up. It wasn’t really possible to take a a relaxing shower.

Dirty towels, hallway smelled like cigarettes, window didn't close
