Schlosshotel Mondsee

I liked the location, parking on site, delicious breakfast, dinner restaurant , nice courtyard and helpful front desk.

I would enjoy more perks- like free of charge access to the public beach or some welcome item- which will make our stay even more memorable.

This was our second time at this hotel. The first time it was 6 years ago. It was just as great back then

The room was large, newly renovated and really clean, beautiful interior garden, nice restaurant/bar. The location was amazing, right in the centre of the town, near a lot of restaurants, shops and only a short walk away from the lake. I also liked the fact that parking was free of charge.

The hotel was in renovation, the hallways were a little spooky. Also, the pool was small and the water a little chilly.

Breakfast and location both excellent. Supplying us with water for our onward journey was a very nice touch. We shall definitely be staying again.

Excellent location, friendly staff, beautiful building makes you feel like staying in a castle. The dinner at Benediktus restaurant and breakfast were amazing. The breakfast buffet has huge variety and choices.

We were upgraded to a beautiful suite which had heating problems. The 1 heating element in the living room didn't work. So they gave us a space heater.

Elegant, beautiful hotel and grounds in the centre of Mondsee and 2 mins from the shore. Eight next to the Christmas market and church. Easy underground parking. Great breakfast, wonderful staff. Room included sofa which is rare.

All was great.

It's fun to stay in a castle, but look for another one

Needs an update and I felt that they totally relied on this properties proximity to the church

Good breakfast, lots of options. Nice and spacious room, friendly and helpful front desk. Great location for easy access to the town and the nearby lakes and mountains. Sauna and wellness area was great, good options for different temperature saunas and a silent room with day beds for relaxation. Filtered water stations throughout the hotel as well.

Automatic light in the room near the bed where the sensor could not be turned off, causing the light to go off in the middle of the night if we turned too much. The hotel and room was animal-friendly (which is great!) but the room was not very clean due to this (animal hair on floor and bedsheets, decent amount of dust, stained robes).

Very nice location in the town center with a besutiful view to a garden.

Breakfast was ok, with a good choice, but not as tasty as expected. Coffee was very good though.

Perfect spot to see Mondsee and local community. Great hotel. Super friendly and breakfast was amazing! Clean and easy walking distance to the see. Plus free bikes for a day trip to see the see. The spa was a bonus!

We had a very nice room with a loft which we never used. The only disappointment was a very small window with light. Thank goodness the sun was out and we didn't stay indoors.

Good facilities, room and breakfast.

The hot water was switched off in the local area on the night of our stay. When we were told about this on arrival the staff did not offer to do anything to compensate for this disruption. They cited that they sent out a warning email a couple of days before which didn’t give much room to find an alternative place to stay. There was plenty that could have been done to apologise for a disruption that at the end of the day affected our stay. You expect at a bare minimum hot water in a hotel room especially one that you’re paying this kind of money for.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, an amazing breakfast each morning and the room was very spacious and pet friendly.

Beautiful location, beautiful hotel, very quiet at night, very enjoyable breakfast, nice restaurants on location. Did not have the chance to experience the spa, unfortunately.

I wish I was informed about underground parking fees and city tax in advance. I do not mind the money, I just do not like "surprises". Booked through Bookingdotcom, maybe the info was there and I just overlooked it.

What a lovely place to stay. Hotel upgraded and doubled the size of our room to two floor Executive Suite. Very friendly and helpfull stuff.Good bed, spacious room, big bathroom, two separated toilets, minibar, coffee machine and a beautiful view to the garden.Good breakfast, good food and friendly waiterer in restaurant. Perfect location in city center near the lake Mondsee between Salzburg and Hallstatt.Schloss hotel, basilika, museum, restaurants, spa and carage, all in the same building.

Wonderful room. Great palace. Nice and pleasant personnel. The best breakfast you can get in the area. New and very elegant sections have been added to the breakfast and wellness areas. Garage parking is available.

A neo-classical building with inner gardens, inside the city of Mondsee. Spacious, clean rooms with views, high quality equipment and also parking in case you arrive by car. Fits very nice with the gorgeous Austrian scenery of the lakes and its people. Excellent and high quality breakfast. Staff always smiling and ready to assist. Great people.

There are a couple of restaurants inside but none of them is in parity with the rest of the hotel qualities despite the willing personel running them. They are either overpriced or of lower quality and despite the package they offer (different cuisine, garden, live music etc) in the end you leave with a question mark on your choice.

The hotel as well as the room were fantastic. (some of the equipment was a little worn out, but nothing to complain about)The staff was super kind and helpful.Breakfast was indeed fabulous!

The gym is rather small. It is a bit of a stretch to call the 3 machines a gym :)

1.The room was not great -- especially for the price I'd expect more 'modern' furniture, AC would be nice or atleast a real window: the window we had was tiny[Im aware the hotel IS an old castle but others do it better / take waaaaay less money]2.i ordered a wine and it had some 'dirt' in the glasses and so I returned it. I didnt even get a new one until I explicitly asked 10 min later. Also not acceptable for the price of the hotel3. 2/3 restaurants were closed on a sunday. Also not awesome
