The hotel is absolutely located in the best location , historic and so incredibly scenic .Amazing breakfast . I love that they reserve your seat for you in the morning. It overlooks the sea, which was stunning . Room was large and spacious , overlooking the beautiful water.

Lady who checked us in could care less about welcoming you to the hotel. Seemed annoyed about any questions we asked. The gentleman was nice but he was busy running the restaurant, but still took time to answer the questions we had.

The refurbished big room. Good breakfast. Hotel has such a great history since 1883 and all the good food in the restaurant are delicious.

right on the Lake. Lovely breakfast, elegant dining room. well stocked Refrigerator in room. spotless and brightly lit bathroom. Comfortable beds. Traditional restaurant with great choices.

Very good location in the very center of Gmunden. Perfect view of lake Traunsee. Very good breakfast with lake view.

It is an excellent location with amazing views of the lake. The breakfast was great, really tasty fresh Brötchen. It's an ideal place to stay if you're planning a hike in the area. I highly recommend visiting the "Baumwipfelpfad Salzkammergut" observation deck.

Property is a 5 star historical hotel with the best location in Gmunden right in the pedestrian section. Fantastic restaurant

Outdated interior, no tea kettle in room.

A bit Quirky, But old style. Lots of history. Excellent family atmosphere. Friendly staff. Spoke great English as my German is so so. Received a room upgrade. Nice touch. ("Hello Lufthansa how about an upgrage too"). Food fine. Great breakfast. Beef sausages would be a winner. One of the best hotels I have stayed in the last ten years at a reasonable price for location and standard. My room had a good view over the main square which was great.

Coffee, tea facilities in room would be nice.

Staff were very helpful, rooms overlooked the lake , were clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was plentiful and varied.

Due to the changing weather, a fan in the room would’ve been appreciated.

Excellent location, staff, service, view, breakfast and lunch. Non stop restaurant was excellent on lakeside. Parking was convenient. Other optional services such as laundry was exceptional as well. Tour booking also available.

Great restaurant. Both food and location are excellent.. Rooms are a bit 'tired looking' and the wifi is terrible! But its a nice hotel and very convenient.

We liked tremendously the view on the lake from our bedroom and to be able to walk along the lake.The staff was friendly and the room very inviting with its balcony.
