Hotel & Restaurant Zum Reussenstein

Pros +

• The breakfast choices were phenomenal, so many choices. The location was close to main areas, but tucked away enough to have quiet.
• The reception staff was excellent, especially Gaby. They cheerfully helped us move our luggage up and down the entry steps and recommended good alternative dining for when the restaurant was closed. Nice lobby lounge with free snacks and outdoor seating in good weather. The breakfast at the affiliated restaurant across the street was very good. The restaurant also served gourmet dinners. The room was comfortable by European standards. Fairly quiet location within the city.
• Breakfast was good plenty of variety as in bread pastries and cereals, lots of jam, honey. Cold selection of meats very limited in choice and size no hausmacher either Coffee machine was ok and general setting was lovely quiet and peaceful.

Cons -

• We had two beds, the only issue was the second bed which was a sofapullout and hard. Took some getting used to.
• There is an elevator inside the hotel, which had encouraged me to choose this booking, as we have bad knees. However there was a long stairway from street level to the hotel entrance. I had not thought to ask about stairs, given the elevator, so this was no fault of the hotel but difficult for us.
