Hotel am Schillerpark

Older style hotel but very clean and conveniently located within walking distance to the center. We enjoyed continental breakfast as well.

Friendly staff, clean hotel, and an excellent breakfast. Also, the hotel was within walking distance to the Altstadt Markt area and scenery. We were also very close to the river and nearby parks. Parking was available in the basement of the hotel but it was a bit tight and it was warm in the rooms due to the heatwave and no A/C. We opened the window to let the room vent but people were having conversations outside until late at night but we managed to get enough rest. We loved Esslingen, it was a beautiful city with friendly people and great food.

The tight parking in the basement and lack of A/C to better control the room temperature without opening the window which allowed outside noises to interupt our sleep.

Clean, close to old town, great breakfast.

There was a heatwave in the region and my room didn’t have AC, like most German homes and hotels. AC would have been nice, or, at least, supplying portable fans.

This was our 5th time staying here and as always such a pleasant stay! Rooms are comfortable, breakfast is always great, parking is convenient and the staff are so friendly!We come every year to visit the Medieval Christmas market. It is a short walk away and so much fun!

The rooms were very small. The garage was very difficult to park in. in a nutshell, the hotel was very basic, but breakfast was very reasonable as was its price.

The hotel had fabulous breakfast options, loads of choice. Quiet area to stay. Easy walk into townEvening restaurant staff were friendly. The rooms were a reasonable size. The town is one of the most beautiful places we have visited across Germany, plenty bars and restaurants to eat and drink, not touristy just the way we like it. If you like old, quaint buildings this is the place to visit. I would recommend this hotel.

The only thing I didn't like was that it was very hot in our room, it says air con but that's only in the rest of the hotel not the bedrooms. I requested a fan for our room, they do not supply them.

Great place to stay for a family, the room was comfy and the staff were amazing with my kids.

A well-maintained hotel in a beautiful city. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is excellent with a wide selection. Parking is possible in the hotel's underground garage. The hotel also has an Italian restaurant.

We had a free upgrade to the rooms with the extra bed up a circular staircase. Comfortable bed but pillows weren't the best. Good shower (enclosed) and a decent breakfast, although the cornflakes were awful and I had a problem getting builders tea....so drank the coffee (good).Had a good walk around Esslingen....beautiful town and had a good meal in Kielmeyers Besen (the liver was very good).

The staff were very helpful. The parking for my motorcycle was secure and convenient in the on site garage.

This is a very nice family owned hotel in a great location, just a short walk to the city center. Very nice staff, especially the son in the family. Breakfast was very good with hot items in a bright comfortable room. Hotel has a lift. There is a coffee bar (maybe with beer also) in the lobby. Our room was comfortable and clean. There is parking in the lower level.

Fantastic welcoming, professional, and helpful staff. We got a room upgrade for free (in the highest season, Christmas). Very comfortable beds, lights, big bathroom with a bath. Great breakfast, all possible options, and very fresh. The hotel was full of families, foreigners, and groups - everyone looked happy. I recommend this hotel to all Esslingen guests.

Helpful staff, clean hotel facilities and great breakfast

Hotel staff were friendly and polite, their treatment were very good, breakfast was wonderful and delicious, and the rooms were clean.

We stay here on every trip to Esslingen and it's always a great stay! Very clean hotel and friendly staff. We come yearly for the medieval Christmas market and are never disappointed! The market is about a 12-15 minute walk and we always feel safe here. If you drive and need a parking place, you will be entertained by their parking garage!

The parking situation is very bad at this hotel. One must spiral steeply into a poorly-lit underground garage and try to put one's car on a tiny car lift platform. Heaven help you if your car gets shifted and you need to get out in a hurry. We were OK, but it is easy to imagine damage being done along the way.
