Phocas Cave Suites

We had a pleasant stay. Hotel had all necessary amenities and was situated in quiet area. Worked well as a base to explore Cappadocia. Apartment had a nice patio for viewing landscape and hot air balloons in the mornings. Staff was friendly and welcoming.

Hotel is located up a steep hill which made pick-ups challenging for tour operators. Property could also use some attention to make it really exceptional. Toilet was running the whole time... despite reporting it. Breakfast was a bit underwhelming.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel right at home. They were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. They went above and beyond in assisting us with all the tours we wanted to book, even being transparent and honest about pricing, which we truly appreciated.The location of the hotel was another highlight. It's conveniently close to a nearby valley with cave houses that you can hike up for a beautiful view. On our first day, we were running short on time to make it up for the sunset, and without us even asking, the staff kindly drove us up to the viewing deck to make sure we didn’t miss it. That gesture alone says so much about their level of care and service.The hotel is situated in a charming small village that's incredibly convenient. Everything you need is within walking distance. There are groceries, restaurants, and souvenir shops nearby, making it easy to explore and enjoy the local scene.One of the most magical parts of our stay was waking up to see hot air balloons floating directly above the hotel. It’s a picture-perfect moment, literally just above your head, and an amazing sight that we’ll never forget.Overall, this hotel delivered a wonderful experience: warm hospitality, a perfect location, and some unforgettable memories. Highly recommended!

If there’s one thing that could be improved, it would be the breakfast. While it was decent, it didn’t quite match the high quality of the rest of our experience, and there’s definitely room for improvement in terms of variety and taste.

Authentic cave hotel unlike others that call themselves 'cave' hotels but are free-standingBeing located out if Goreme in Cavusin ended up being ideal for balloon viewing every morning and was a pleasant 30minute walk into town when we wanted to go. Plus it's more closely situated for Red/Rose Valley hikesRoom was beautiful and had everything we needed, the breakfast was good too

Being a cave hotel the ventilation wasn't great so the bathroom could remain damp and smelled a bit but I suspect this is common to all cave hotels

The room is clean and spacious. It's comfortable and quiet. It's a good location to view the hot air balloons in the morning. Breakfast selection was reasonable and sufficient.

Uphill and narrow street to the accommodation - making it difficult for SUV car and parking. We had some damage on the bumper unfortunately.

The staff were incredibly helpful from the start and made us feel very comfortable asking for anything. The breakfast was excellent - mainly cheeses, breads, olives, cereals, etc. From the roof terrace, you can see all of the views with the best view in the area. Such a magical place to sit and enjoy a morning coffee.

As the rooms are cave suites, they get dusty and could perhaps do with a good vacuum and clean. Having said that, the rooms were very clean but there were some dusty parts in the corners and crevices. The location is near to a handful of small restaurants, so it is best to rent a car if you wish for more options.

Exceptional stay & exceptional staff! Phocas Cave Suite exceeded our expectations.We can wholeheartedly recommend them, they went the extra mile for us! In addition, we wanted to do a photoshoot, they assisted with recommending a photographer and assisted with the booking as well.

The breakfast was very good, plenty of choice and freshly cooked/prepared food. Good presentation and nicely served. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. They provided us with local information and gave us coffee when we checked out at the end of our holiday and had to wait for a late coach trip home.

The hotel is at the top of a steep cobbled hill which is not really suitable for people with mobility issues/asthma/heart conditions. It would be a good idea to mention this in the description of the property. The area is fairly quiet so if you are looking for more choice for evening meals/bars etc Goreme may be a better choice.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The location was quiet and peaceful, allowing us to relax and unwind during our trip. All staff were also incredibly helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. Special mention ManagerBekir and our Ballon pilot Seko. We appreciated their attentiveness and willingness to assist us with anything we needed. Overall, our experience at the hotel was fantastic and we would highly recommend it to others. They do all Booking for you all adventure, Ballon ride and Airport shuttle in reasonable price.

An excellent experience. The rooms are very beautiful and spacious. The view from the hotel is exceptional (would recommend to wake up early to see the hot air balloons). The staff at the hotel is very accommodating. Very good breakfast options. They will arrange airport transfer for you, if you message them before hand. I found that very helpful. The hotel location is not in Goreme, but all the tour providers will pick you up from the hotel. I did not have any issue.

Excellent location and experience . The hotel is very well located for your morning as the morning view was quite magical . It is in the middle of all where it all crosses . i would highly recommend to choose them over others or the main goreme as this location was more private and peaceful.

Phocas Cave Suites is a fantastic hotel with excellent staff and spacious rooms that offer all the amenities you could need. The breakfast at Phocas Cave Suites was disappointing with very limited options. Adding more variety would greatly improve the experience.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Murat and Mehmet gave us good recommendations. The balloons flew right over our room. Morning time viewing was ideal. Room was excellent.

Breakfast did not have a variety choice but it was a very good classic Turkish breakfast, and it was enough.

Everything. The rooms were really comfortable And clean with lovely decor. The breakfast was really lovely with freshly cooked produce served by a lovely lady in the kitchen. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly showing great hospitality throughout and was a highlight of our time in Cappadocia

Nothing - only room for improvement would be to provide some Sun loungers to make more use of the ample terrace spaces but this was not an issue more an observation.

Great location. Huge spacious rooms exactly like they are shown in the photos. Very authentic Turkish feel to the cave rooms.

Breakfast was very minimal. No hot options at all. No option of food after breakfast. Even salt not available after breakfast.

The room was a bit dusty, but we didn’t bother. I am sure if we had asked them, they would have cleaned it properly.

Cavucin is a lovely village outside of the tourist trap of goreme, a nice quiet place to unwind. The hotel has nice cave rooms at a reasonable price.

There were a few things in the room that weren't fully working - these could be improved.

Great location and wonderfully decorated rooms. Lucky to have the hot air balloons traveling directly over the hotel one morning. Helpful and courteous staff.

One of the cave rooms was quite cold and damp when we first checked in. It took several hours to warm up. I guess that's what a 'cave room' is like in late March.

Staff are very friendly, accommodating, and helpful; they helped us book taxis for airport transfer and for a customize tour and also booked a tour through a travel agent. We checked out at 4:40 am and they made an effort to prepare us breakfast before we leave.The room is very clean and spacious. It was great to experience living in a cave. The room temperature is always cold, glad there is a heater. I personally love the terrace in the rooftop, where you can get a great view of the hot air balloons in the morning. It is close to some tourist attractions, Rose Valley is a 28 minute hike, there is also an old historical village nearby and an area you can hike where you can see a good view of the sunset.

Hotel is located in Caushin which is 10 to 15 minutes drive to Goreme centre which is not a big deal as we've got a better view of the hot-air balloon and there were tourist spots that are walkable from the hotel. Just a note for the hotel, they can maybe add more information or brief guest regarding the touristy places nearby as we've got to know them ourselves.
