    Pros +

    • The hotel was very clean and had everything we needed. The staff were ever so friendly and helpful and made our whole trip more enjoyable. The room was large and comfortable and very clean. The hotel itself is in an ideal location for visiting the town.
    • The breakfast was very good, with a big variety of options, and it was available from 6:30 until 10:00 (on holidays until 11:00). I was traveling for work and the location was very convenient for me to move around on feet or by public transport (the tram stop is just outside the door). The personel was very helpful and I could also leave my baggage at the reception for some hours after my check-out.
    • Great location, open late for check-in time; great if you have late train or flight

    Cons -

    • The hotel bathroom was a bit dated and noise from the street could be heard, in the room at night. We ate breakfast once in the hotel and found it to be very poor value for money.
    • The hotel is located in the corner of two main streets, which are used by several tram lines, so it is quite noisy. Until late in the night when the trams stop it is not very easy to sleep (and they start again early in the morning). The furniture is old, but still OK.
    • Light was fluttering and the toilet seat was missing a bolt but overall great

The location, staff, parking and amenities. In central part of town with Ubonn and street cars adjacent. Plenty of shopping and pharmacies near by.

The bar is closed on Monday. The breakfast was NOT good. We arrived at 8:45 and it opened at 6 am and went to 10am. The pancakes were hard as bricks, no more bacon and the eggs were all gone and we were told they ran out? Someone does not know how to provision!

Good location, near tram station, across of supermarket

No coffee in room, no kettle and mattress not so good

    Location

The air conditioner in the room was not working. When I reported the issue to the front desk, they told me there was nothing they could do. No one made any attempt to fix it during my three-day stay. Very poor service. On breakfast juice has terrible taste.

    9JamesPosted on: 6-7-2025

The bedroom was large and comfortable.

The breakfast was expensive. A coffee maker in the room would have been nice.

The hotel is in the prime location. Tram station, Bus stop to Karlsruhe station are very near. 2 mnts walking distance. Bus number 10 will get you to karlsruhe main station within 10mnts. Marktplatz is 10 mnts walking from the hotel. A lot of cafes nearby, & edekka& Scheckin within 3mnts walking distance. The price I paid is very reasonable compared to other hotels nearby. Very nice bathtub, big wardrobe with iron box is a plus point for this hotel

It would be better if you provide Electric kettle

It was very convenient to the metro as well as the bus line. The metro closest to the hotel is under construction however(May 2025) so just be aware of that but of course has nothing to do with the property. I did not indulge in the “breakfast available.” I thought the price was a bit high, but I don’t know what that included either.

The bed was quite soft. (Twin bed).

    6KamranPosted on: 5-21-2025

    The staff was friendly.

The room that clean, there were some stain marks on the carpet. Also felt like the mirrors and glass surfaces were not that well cleaned. The beds were not very comfortable and it felt like the mattress are very old and needed to be changed. There is some maintenance work in the room. The handle of the window was broken and couldn't open one of the windowm

    Poor

Nobody was speaking English at the reception; you do expect that in a city hotelNo room service, not even the hotel bar was open in the hope of getting some dinner; the hotel was already hosting a company meeting so the bar was not open for other customersDefinitely not a 4 stars hotel

    8MartinPosted on: 4-29-2025

    Comfortable bed and pillows.

Check-in time 15:00 sharp, meaning all customers are there at the same time waiting for a room. After a long trip on the way there, a little leeway wouldn’t have hurt anyone. If I had had the time I would have stayed until 10:59 a.m. to maximize my stay in the room based on the absolute start of my stay.

    10StephenPosted on: 4-23-2025

Large, bright, clean and spacious fully-functioning Hotel, easy to find, easy to park, helpful and accommodating staff with all the amenities and facilities one would expect from a much more expensive Hotel, including lobby bar, lifts and restaurant. Excellent value for money too.

There's nothing to 'not-like'! After several disruptive prior booking experiences at more expensive self-check-in locations, what a joy it was to walk into a proper Hotel with friendly and engaging staff who spoke multiple languages.

    9PaulPosted on: 4-18-2025

The room was luxurious and the shower had ample power. There was even an explicitly vegan option on the food menu which was good to see even though we didn't try it.

    9IanPosted on: 4-18-2025

Very clean rooms. Big comfortable bed and spacious rooms complete with own bathroom and toiletries. Large cable TV and fast Wifi connection. Equipped air conditioning unit and carpeted flooring.

Not totally disliked but a suggestion perhaps with complementary drinks like a bottle of water would be nice. ??

We stayed in this hotel last December when it was named as Achat Hotel. Early 2025 its name is changed as The Q Quadro City Hotel. I think the new management cancelled some facilities, such as Coffee machine with capsules and bottles of water. Almost every hotel with this grade uses note cards to hang on doors, in order to get room cleaned or to say " do not disturb" . But here, the hotel guests are instructed to tell the reception to get their rooms cleaned before 08.30 a.m . If not , "no cleaning". That's absurd for an hotel with a price above the average . Nevetheless, it has a very good location and warm atmosphere. Whenever I would come to Karlsruhe, I would probably stay here again.
