    Pros +

    • Clean and the bathroom is big. Provide water and Haribo ??
    • Location of the hotel is very good. It’s sı clean.
    • I requested a room change on the first day due to excessive noise in our room. However, the young lady at the reception told me that there were no available room for the next 5 days in the floor and side that I want. She offered me another room smaller for a week stay. The next day, when I called the reception, another staff member informed me that a room change was possible and kindly moved me to the exact room I originally wanted. For this, I am truly grateful. However, I was very dissatisfied with the receptionist on the first day, as I believe she deliberately chose not to offer me the available room. I believe the hotel should take appropriate action regarding this matter. Thank you.

    Cons -

    • The door is thin, so it's a bit loud in the morning when each room start to check out. However, it's very sweet that the hotel provide us ear plugs.
    • Our room, although it was very large and nice, was located just in the heart of the breakfast room. That was quite awkward to be honest. When you open the door people can easily see your bed. Also I would lile to recommend the hotel management to invest in new real pillows. Unfortunately pillows were extremely soft and uncomfortable.
    • There was construction going on all week. Since there’s no AC one had to open windows during the night and it got quite loud. But I guess that’s what one would expect from a very central location of a hotel. I would stay there again nonetheless

The location was very central and had a bakery on the first floor that opened early and served delicious pastries.

    Good location, ok breakfast

Zero wifi, very noisy, no lobby

We liked the location as it is right on the square, with many locations near (McDonald's, Aldi...) where you can buy some things and also relax. The room we had was very big and we loved it, also the bathroom had a shower and a bathtub so it was really cozy. Also the breakfast didn't have many items to choose from, but was really delicious.

Though we loved the location, the noise that came from the street was quite loud at night and the beds were too soft so we didn't sleep well.

Short stay over for one night only, perfect location, checked in and out online, card key via automated machine at the entrance. Everything was fine!

Very central and near to a car park. Very clean. Welcoming and helpful English speaking staff.

    No kettle.

Location, breakfast, view from roof terrace at breakfast time.

Check-in procedure - very complicated and impersonal. No reception available unless you go to the bakery next door. The door to the 4th floor and the roof terrace, which is lovely, was only open during breakfast time. We were hoping to seat at the terrace in the afternoon since the weather outside was not very good, but the door to access it was closed all afternoon.

Location was amazing! Right near the castle, market place, and underground train station.

Self-check in didn’t work. Had to wait outside in the cold for 40 minutes for an actual person to come and let us inside to check us in.

Location, view on square, generous room size we're all great.

    Would prefer a manned reception.

    8KavePosted on: 12-10-2024

It’s quite central. Small and quiet

The noise outside at night is unbearable. It makes sense because that’s the square where everyone comes to hangout so if you don’t like noise this is not for you

It’s easily accessible as the tram stop is next to the property. I came to Karlsruhe to visit the Christmas markets & 3 of them are near the property. Very clean room and ample space for a solo traveller. They were also accommodating to store my bags before check in. Friendly staff!! Kudos!

    Location, clean room

You could hear noises from outside, cleaning machines at 6:00 am.

The location was perfect in center of city... The hotel is very easy going, staff very friendly and accomodating, rooms very clean and with all what you need! So overall excellent rating?

No comments, as all suited me!!

    Location.

    No fridge, no coffee machine

    8RokPosted on: 9-23-2024

Hotel am Markt is very well located, in the heart of the city, everything is in walking distance. Instructions for checking in and out are clear enough, also public parking garage is close by and not too difficult to find.

Even though I arrived well before 10pm (check in supposed to be until then) there was no one at the reception so all the process was slightly impersonal. Room was relatively quiet and clean but the bed was somehow wavy.

    9JulianePosted on: 8-29-2024

The location with view to the castle and proximity to the park and the city centre were exceptional.

With three ppl in one room it was very crammed.

    3YizhengPosted on: 8-19-2024

room is way too hot to stay

The location of my room is on the top floor. When I arrived around 9 pm in the night it was crazy hot and humid. And there is no AC only a fan. That night was a terrible memory for me I could not fall asleep till 3 am. The second day I had to work but I was in a super bad situation because of the hotel.
