Location close to train station, breakfast not a big variety but good quality, room layout works well, self check in is smooth, free minibar

WiFi is not good

It was really close to the train station, which made it easier for our travel. The breakfast was amazing, and the staff was nice.

The elevator was very slow.

It would help to have a full-size glass door to the shower to avoid flushing water all over the floor.

It is just a short walk from the train station. The breakfast was great. Nora, who worked the breakfast and from desk was really helpful and friendly.

The self check- in worked great, but our concern is what would have happened if we had problems. The staff had all left the place by the time we arrived at 20:00.

Everything was great. The free snacks in the reception were the cherry on top. Super clean bathroom and bedroom, with free Minibar and shower lotion. Heating was working very well, comfortable bed, enough shelf and hanging spaces for organizing clothes and stuff. Enough space for working (home Office) as well.Staff was very friendly and helpful. We could even park our bikes in the hotel, so they wouldn't be on the street during night.Breakfast had a great variety and was very tasty.I can only recommend.

Everything was lovely. I was supposed to be at a hostel, but it creeped me out so I booked here VERY last minute. Patricia (? Front desk lady with glasses and curly hair) was so amazing. I had popped my rental car tire. She let me borrow the hotel's phone because I couldn't call anyone with my cell phone. She was so fantastic and kind. She deserves a raise and a vacation. The breakfast buffet and cafe was so cute and filling. They take care of it so nicely as well.

It's very specific and probably unnecessary for most people. I appreciate having the peep holes in the doors

Cute little hotel! The self check-in was convenient and worked well. Staff are courteous and the breakfast on offer was decent. Location was very good - as it is walking distance from the Hauptbahnhof, and right in the middle of town.

Nothing not to like.

The staff were exceptionally helpful. I arrived early and intended to store my luggage there until check-in time. THe lady at the desk said that the room might be ready earlier, and she went upstairs to check on that possibility. When she returned, she told me that the room was ready and I could access it immediately. The breakfast offered a good selection, and the facilities were very clean.

Huge room (room 43, top floor) was very comfortable and charmingly decorated. Almost felt more like a studio apartment than a hotel, which made us feel at home. The spacious bathroom is very convenient for a couple. Location near the train station is convenient, yet still far enough away that noise is not an issue. Breakfast was great and varied. Will definitely stay here again if I visit Karlsruhe in the future!

The self check-in system is convenient, but very impersonal. This seems to be the way of the future, but especially for family-operated hotels, it is nice to receive a warm welcome. Not a dealbreaker, though.

Hotel Avisa is a small hotel with a big heart. Friendly, helpful staff. Easy self check in. Spacious room with kitchenette and air conditioning. Large, sunny bathroom with 2 sinks,good water pressure and lots of hot water. Breakfast was wonderful, great coffee. Made accommodation for our bicycles. Would recommend and return!

The hotel is ideally situated a few minutes walk from the train station. Room was nice and cozy, bed was super comfortable and free mini bar was a nice and very welcome surprise! Staff is very polite and welcoming. Sandwiches and snacks are available in the afternoon for hotel guests for free! E-check in is smooth and simple. If you're luck you may be able to see pandas as the zoo is across the street.

Wifi signal in the room was unsteady. No other down sides whatsoever.

Clean apartment, close to the train station, good breakfast

There were mice in the apartment. And hotel did nothing to solve this problem.There are quite significant signs of use, the shower door is not fastened tightly, the ventilation grilles can fall out.Trams are very loud.The smell from the zoo is significant and won't let you ventilate the room.

Hotel Avisa is located on footdistance from city center(15min), railway station is 400m away.Rooms are looking on nice zoo park.Food was really good.Top recommendation

Everything was fantastic per usual. I've always regarded this lovely hotel as one on the great values anywhere, and it is always a joy to return. Room terrific (quiet and comfortable), location perfect (near train station with easy access via foot or metro anywhere, breakfast fantastic. Staff always wonderful.
