The size of the bathroom and bedroom.

It is a period property and the rooms are well appointed with all the necessary amenities. The room was hood size with a nice view of the park. They left a tray with fruits the first night which was very nice. Staff are generally well meaning…

The hotel is very dated and needs a good make over especially the bathrooms. This time there were very inexperienced staff at the reception and I was given the wrong room 3 times! I had to go up and down 3 times with luggage and in one room there was a man showering! Reception did not even properly apologize? When I finally went into the room that I was assigned, I saw that the bath tub was dirty with hair all over it from previous guest! Again no apology no proper upgrade? If all these happened in marriott, I would be given the presidential suite!

My entire stay in Karslruhe was brilliant! Schlosshotel is clean, quiet, and has the friendliest staff. The breakfast was outstanding. You cannot beat the location near the train station and a short walk to the Palace. Old world charm meets modern. Well done, Schlosshotel.

Our room was situated opposite the zoo with a large living/bedroom area with opening patio doors. A very short walk from the train station (3 minutes) and also the hop on bus stop. The zoo is just across the road (if that is your thing). Easy walking to eateries and in a safe area. A flat easy 30 minute walk to the castle.

The amazing shower and bed. The breakfast was delicious. The view overseeing the zoo was fantastic.

Wish there was a swimming pool.

Nice breakfast, good size room

Room was 29.5c when I got back and air con not efficient. Following night left windows open to cool room as was told and still was 27.5 during night!! Uncomfortably hot! Was told all rooms on top floor overheat due to fact are in eaves of building.

The location is very good and the building has a wonderful architecture inside and outside. There is also a private parking right in front of the hotel. The breakfast is ok as well.To keep in mind that the hotel is not well maintained unfortunately - if they would invest in fixing it and giving it a little more care the hotel would probably be excellent. The room was dated and we had to open the window when we entered the room as it was very hot an smelled like it an old museum :)

I'm not sure if it's the hotel's fault, but in the morning there was noisy construction work going on right under the windows of the room.

Great location and great ambiance.It has the charm of the old railway station hotels. My room was very quiet and spacious.The area has some good restaurants and it I’ve very convenient for transports.

It is nearing the time of a refurbishment or an update. Although the furnishing and amenities were good, they start feeling a bit dated, in particular the heat control was a bit tricky.

Location is really nice, close to public transport, but you can walk anywhere from here as well. The room was also nice, comfortable bed, nice breakfast, parking is also easy.

There was none, I only spent 1 night here.

The breakfast is pricey at 19 Euros and it is not a huge buffet but you find everything needed and in good quality. Possibly a bit more fresh fruit would be good but that is possbily due to the season.The room was very spacious and nice. There is a carpet on the floor, not what everyone likes but in an old hotel like this it was fitting. The lights are a little dark more my taste and the shower not enough pressure, but again, its an old hotel and gives you a bit of a feeling like in Downtown Abbey.The hotel is just over the square when you leave the main train station., You can get trams and underground trains to near anywhere.What I really liked was the old pictures, bills and menus hanging up on the walls. And obviously the old lift.

Lights in the room could have been a little more powerful and the shower could have had a bit more power.
