Heating not working properlyNo blackoutRain/wind made a lot of the noise on the window shutters Not good pillows, small and no shape
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Delicious breakfast with many options, you can choose from many loose leaf tea types which I liked a lot.
Very clean, friendly staff and comfortable room with facilities. .
Clean and well organized hotel. Friendly staff and good parking garage.
Personally do not like open showers. A bit of noise from the street below was heard.
Good breakfast, helpful and polite staff, large and clean rooms
This hotel with a friendly staff is located on the outskirts of downtown Karlsruhe is a good starting point to explore the city. It offers a clean room, a comfy bed, and a tasty breakfast buffet in the morning. There's also an underground garage available (not free, btw!).
Breakfast was good, reasonable variety, coffee ok. Room seemed seemed clean, I wasn't sure about the two small duvets on the bed rather than one large because it kept coming off. Apparently that is standard for German bedding. The wireless charger in the room is a nice touch but mine wasn't working reliably which was frustrating - if it wasn't there I wouldn't have had anything to complain about. I tried making a few calls in room but it was not connecting but I had phone checked and apparently it was fine. I asked for a room close to lift but it was right at the far end of the corridor which defeats the purpose of me asking since I have mobility issues and prefer less walking. It was close to A lift but we never used that lift and it did not seem to stop at reception level (and it far away from main entrance). Room had a balcony but not much of a view at the back - the hotel is in a built up area on a side street. Staff were nice and especially in the restaurant - they weren't busy and were able to make me a dish without the white wine added on request.
As mentioned, wireless charger did not work. Phone wasn't connecting but apparently the phone was fine (used my mobile after that so not able to check). Room was as far as possible from the main lift when I requested one next to lift. Toiletries were always scarce ie towels were not big, shampoos and shower gel bottles weren't in abundance - I like extras just in case I run out and don't have to ration whilst in the shower. No hand soap given so used one of the bottles. No extra toilet roll which could have easily ran out and I'd be stuck! No iron in the room due to some safety restrictions, but I was allowed to use a room with an iron next to reception - inconvenient though when you have to bring your shirts down and then back to your room. Biggest inconvenience was the hotel was sold as having a gym - but the gym is several blocks away and "you only have to pay 5 EUR entrance" - I just did not bother, and I needn't have packed my gym stuff if its not even in the hotel let alone free.
The hotel is very clean and comfortable, walking distance to the city centre, with underground parking and great breakfast! Due to changes in our plans I had to decrease our stay by 1 night and they reacted very quickly. Definitely recommend it!
Everything was OK!
Close to publiic transport but quiet, very good breakfast, reasonable prices, good restaurant and friendly personnel.
The hotel was nice, good value for money. Location also convenient and walking distance from the centre/amenities.
The hotel looks nice
No air-conditioning. The bed is uncomfortable, and the bedding provided very unpleasant when the temperature and humidity is high.
