Pros +
- The hotel is still well run and good location.
- A nice hotel with good breakfast and convenient location (even with the construction going on).
- While construction is still going on around it, it still is the best place to stay in Karlsruhe if you are going to visit KIT.
Cons -
- I have stayed at this hotel a number of times over the past 10-15 years. The hotel has suffered some from all the construction going on for the underground tram system in front of it. Breakfast is now downgraded a little with the room move.
- The new temporary breakfast room is 'adequate'

Location-just wished I had known that it was across the street from the Police Station, so that I would have found the hotel sooner. Also, I LOVED that the manager let me check-in early, without charging me, when my room was already available, when I arrived.
Everything exceeded my expectations.
Spacious clean room with the most amazing view of the Christmas Market!
The hot water pipe in the shower gets very hot
All the details are covered and other pillow options are available. Great breakfast and location with train and all is perfect. Even an Aldi 5 minutes away.
All good
I liked everything about this place as the location, staff, cleanliness, facilities and comfort was outstanding. First time here but will be my go to place in Karlsruhe.
I would add a little heavier weight plates in the gym as great for cardio, but not a great gym for lifting free weights.
We stopped at this hotel on our way to France, and it was a good surprise. The service at the hotel reception was very helpful. The hotel location is excellent, right in the center of the city. There are coffee and tea and fruits available for free at the entrance. There is paid parking at 15€, both above and below ground. We took a triple room/suite, which was excellently well-designed and the minibar on the table was free, the refresher was ok.Breakfast was good.
There is a glass wall between the bathroom and the room. For a couple this means that one cannot turn on the light in the bathroom at night without waking the other.
The hotel is in great location, the staff were very helpful and nice. The room was comfortable with airconditoon.
There is parking but the use is a limited (you need the receptionist to open for you, and you cant get in after 2300)
Very good service and parking garage very close by. The location was great for a city trip. The rooms were spacious and well equipped.
Amenities, location, comfortable room with a view, delicious breakfast and the most amazing staff. The gentleman manager was ever so gracious, informative and accommodating.
I DID CHECK OUT BEFORE BREAKFAT STARTSi DID REQUEST TO PREPARE BREAKFAT TO GO DURING MY CHECK INN BUT RECEPTION TOLD ME YOU CAN GET IN AND ASK LADY TO GIVE YOU THE FOOD HALF HOUR EARLY!!!
eLEVATOR WAS NOT WORKING BY NIGHT AND EARLY ON THE SECOND DAY AND I HAD TO CARRY MY LUGGAEUP AND DOWN
The location was ideal. Frank, the front desk clerk, was very helpful. Our room was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was outstanding!
We were impressed by the level of Detail to the experience. It had all to offered, from EV chargers to Snacks and availability of toiletries. The staff were very friendly and ready to help and one can not get a better location in the city!
The morning staff was friendly, the breakfast was good, the room was big, there was a friedge in the room and the shower was powerful.
The receptionist man in the evening treated me very badly. He blocked my entrance already at the door. I asked information about the parking lot, so my husband could park and join me to make the reservation. The man replied with “Our rooms are very expensive, starting in €155. Can you afford that?”. I was shocked bit still said yes and that I could book right away. While walking me away he said that I needed to first do that via booking.com cause with him was not possible. All of this in front of a lady that I think was a guest. I have never felt so humiliated in my entire life. He probably did that because I’m black.Outside the hotel he pointed where my husband could temporarily park, while my husband was doing that he started to curse and saying that was not correct.Only after I showed him the confirmation by booking.com he started to be “nicer”. If my husband and I were not so tired of driving many hours from Switzerland and it was not so late in the evening we would have never stayed in this hotel.Besides that, the bedsheet was very dirty and the slippers were reused from other guests as they were dirty and sticky. We couldn’t order proper pillows or hygiene items as they were not available in the house room and the reception is not 24 hours and the receptionist informed us that he was leaving soon in the moment of the “booking”.
Central; just off the main square. And close to the zoo and the congress centre.
The rooms on the top floor are gabled; they possibly are less roomy than the rooms on the lower floors.
We recently stayed at this hotel and had a wonderful experience. The location was absolutely perfect—convenient and central. We booked a suite and were very happy with it. The bathroom and bedroom were spacious and well-designed, offering great comfort throughout our stay. The staff were truly exceptional. Both the day and night teams were very helpful, informative, and took great care of us. Their warm hospitality made our stay even more enjoyable.Breakfast was also good The freshly made egg omelette was my wifes l favourite—delicious and well-prepared.Pros:Excellent locationSpacious and comfortable rooms breakfastFriendly and attentive staffCons:The towels could be improved; they seemed a bit old and had an unpleasant smell. Either replacing them or ensuring a more thorough wash would really help.Overall, we had a lovely experience and would definitely recommend this hotel to others!
This is by far our favorite Hotel when visiting Karlsruhe. The Hotel is centrally located, rooms of nice size, very clean and the staff is friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is wonderfully with maybe choices hot/cold choices. Five star rating!!
