Great location, nice room, good shower with hot water and good pressure. Comfortable bed, nice view, and close to town without being right in it

I'm giving a low score but still want to highlight positive sides of the hotel: location - 3 minutes walk from train station, 5 minutes walk to old town center. Fantastic view from the window (photo attached).

Staff don't know English. Reception contacted prior check-in and informed that it's closing by 20:30 and made me rush, while it's clearly communicated everywhere that check-in before 22:30. Overall, the reception guy was quite cruel. Messed up with taxi ordering too.The room wasn't properly cleaned before our stay, there was some rubbish under the bed. Since the hotel is quite old building (no complaints here), the rooms don't have AC but it's really really hot during summer but we couldn't open the window due to enormously high number of spiders and the window doesn't have mosquito net.

The location was great with the closeness to the train station and also to the town. The large room windows provided fresh air and a nice view. The breakfast was very good too. The candy and fresh water in the lobby were a nice welcome as was the coffee machine in our room.

We did need to wait awhile both at check in (long line) and for our room to be cleaned (late afternoon). We used the time to relax in chairs on the landing.

All staff were friendly, Mr. Geza Toth was very cooperative during checking in and checkout I highly recommend this hotel.

Everything was perfect, thank you! We enjoyed our stay. The room was very warm, spotlessly clean, and offered a great view of the city. Essential toiletries were provided.

There were a few minor points for improvement: the shower door had a gap which allowed water to leak out, and there was a small gap under the room's entrance door facing the corridor. It would also be nice to offer tea bags in the room, as only coffee was provided.

Ideally located. Nice feel to the whole place. Great parking option. Staff were terrific , especially the receptionist originally from Malaga.

There was nothing not to like.

The staff was really friendly and compensated for some of the shortcomings of the place. There was no fridge in the room, but they figured out a way to store my medicine elsewhere. Breakfast was a nice buffet with a large choice.

The price is really over the top for the room standard. I paid extra to have my cat with us, but the room we got felt like we got downgraded from the Booking description. The bed was made only for one person, even though we paid for two. No place to park, and we ended up spending loads of extra $$ on outside parking further from the hotel (really uncomfortable considering we had to carry an animal).

Location is superb , really clean room , friendly and helpful staff.

No A/C or refrigerator in my room , thankfully the weather wasn´t too hot but it could be a problem on a hot day.

Good location near the city centre, clean and calm.

Because we arrived in the evening there was no free parking space for our car and we had to pay the parking lot (12 EUR). In general, the price for a double-room without breakfast and parking is too high.

The two rooms booked were very uncomfortable. All guests woke up the next day with bug bites and itchiness. This is the major issue and we would not book again.Window curtains in both rooms booked were too short to block the whole window.One room was supposed to have sheets, pillows & towels for 2 guests but did not.

Really close to the train station. The room wad clean and tidy. The breakfast was good but not for 14.5 Euros.

There were no air conditioners in the room and it was really warm in the noon. No facilities were available in the room, for example electrical kettle. The window was too small and no view. I asked to change my room to another one with better view but they said they are full.

It was a nightmare.

I asked the receptionist what would happen if I arrived later than their check-in time and they assured me that I could take my room key from a device behind the building. I reached the hotel at 23:00 and no one was there. All doors were locked and the device did not work! I had to stay in the street all night freezing as no other hotels were available. They were totally irresponsible about their guests and did not answer any of my messages or calls. The Booking,com customer service also did not help at all with my situation and finding another place to stay.

Location is perfect and the room was clean.

The front desk lady wasn’t very friendly. Furthermore the facilities need to be updated.

Loved the location, even seen from the train station so super accessible. It was simple, comfortable and affordable.

I didn’t like that the floor was dirty as if it hadn’t been cleaned from its previous stay. The door is right next to the bed so you can hear when your neighbours come and go.

The breakfast was full of options including traditional German fare. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The coffee was delicious.

We loved everything about our stay.
