Pros +
- The hotel’s location was perfect to explore Verdun. Its staff were polite, helpful, and most accommodating to someone very ignorant of eastern France. Its food was very good and enjoyable for my brief visit.
- This hotel is in a perfect location for a stay in Verdun. It has a beautiful view of the river and bars, restaurants and shops are in easy walking distance. The staff is excellent and friendly. It’s quiet and peaceful. I highly recommend staying here.
- I liked a well equipped bathroom. The room was comfortable despite its size. The price was also value for money. The view is beautiful. It must be especially beautiful in the Spring. The car park is also a plus providing space and security.

Wonderful view across the river to the town and safe car parking
Room was cold even with attempts to sort out the heating
The location was excellent. Our room looked over the river and was beautiful to look out on. The amenities were great as was the staff. The restaurant was exceptional.
There really isn't a better location in Verdun. Right across the river from all the restaurants and cafes, yet quiet. The parking is convenient, and while I wish it wasn't 15 euros, it was perfect for my needs.
Price, location, facility & excellent breakfast
parking, we didn't rent a car for 2 days because of paying for parking, having to keep card inserted for electral plugs to work
Location is excellent. The view from the hotel room was beautiful. Comfortable and clean rooms. Secure parking location right next to the hotel
Room for improvement:- No EV charging facilities available- Sometimes there was no one at the reception- Breakfast was fine, but not great- Restaurant was closed
The hotel itself is grand and spacious. Beautiful room with a wonderful view of the river and the old city gate, complete with a balcony. Parking was extremely convenient and secure;. Just be aware that the entrance for parking comes up before you reach the hotel's front door on a one-way street; they'll buzz you in. The breakfast incorporated a wide variety of hot and cold items, and was very well-rounded and delicious. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful.
There was some loud revelry from a moored riverboat. If this is a concern for you, you might consider a room on the garden side of the property.
The hotel is beautiful and the location is stunning. Very easy walk to plenty of restaurants and memorials.Breakfast was great with lots of food options.
Our room faced the river, which was beautiful, but there was a large party boat docked right outside out window. Music and dancing went on until midnight. It was a weekend, so this was somewhat understandable. I would stay there again.
Great location
Would have liked a refrigerator to keep cold drinks or snacks. Didn’t like that we couldn’t control the temperature in our room. Felt cumbersome to have to call reception.
Grand hotel, lovely big rooms and very clean. Private parking.
Air conditioning wasn't great - rooms were hot. To be fair it was very hot outside at 35 degrees but the air con was inadequate
Our room had a river view and was very clean. Charlotte was the best and the rest of the staff were friendly.
Breakfast was too expensive for what was available. But still pretty tasty.
Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Was a great jumping off point for visiting the battlefields. Also right across the river from restaurants and bars, which was great for relaxing after hiking all day.
Location..,rooms. Updated…staffing excellent
The property is in a perfect setting to explore the city of Verdun. The staff was excellent. Friendly and professional. They went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable.
Location! On river. Very clean with nice terrace and green space in back of hotel.
Nice big rooms, clean
Specifically requested a low floor as one member of the group cannot use lifts and has a bad knee, so we got put on the top floor and he had to carry his motorcycle gear up.
A very good location with a good view and easy parking. Restaurants close by.
The parking entrance was just before the hotel and not very obviously marked so we had to park elsewhere, ask, and then negotiate the one way system again. An explanation when we book would be helpful. Once we got there it was all ok.
Very nice and helpful staff, beautiful building, zonderful breakfast, great location.
Unfortunately the restaurant is currently closed, so we had to go out for each meal.
