    Pros +

    • Small but clean and comfortable. We were just passing through for the night so it did the job. Verdun is small so it was close enough though on the outskirts of the city.
    • The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There were extra blankes but we did not use them. The bathroom was adequate in all ways. The restaurant for dinner was excellent and the breakfast was also very good for a continental breakfast.
    • The location for visiting Verdun is unmatched. The breakfast was lovely (we did not have dinner there) and the outside had nice seating. We did not use the pool as it is October!

    Cons -

    • We were in a room located directly next to the stairs and we were woken up during the night and early morning each time someone went up or down due to the sounds on the staircase. If we had been further away from the stairs, I think our stay would have been a 10.
    • The rooms are quite small so if you can downsize your luggage it would be best and the walls quite thin so you could hear other guests coming and going.
    • It was Ok. I was a little bit surprised about the costs of the breakfast, Maybe I have missed this information at the beginning. It was not clear for me.

It was a very good hotel. They were flexible with the room because I had to pick up my daughter from a vacation camp. The restaurant was very nice.

Good value, room was bigger than expected. Friendly staff. On site parking.

It was pleasant surroundings quiet Room was ok Staff ok We had a nice meal in restaurant but felt the prices for rooms and food are more expensive in comparison to other places we have stayed and felt more welcome.

The place looks like it's been having some refurbishment but not yet our room there was rust on the mirror shelf and no plug the outlet was an open hole The older man who checked us in seemed not to know what to do until a lady came along .My husband ordered a gin and tonic he received gin but the tonic was cucumber flavour. Not to his liking Things were more expensive compared to other places we have stayed.

Friendly staff, restaurant food and choice very good alongside breakfast. Plenty of car parking space adjacent to hotel. Clean in all areas.

Room size considered "cosy" and informed that all rooms were of the same size. More of a base hotel for sight-seeing and use of car or some form of transport necessary as situated on outskirts of Verdun in amongst industrial units. Rather bland looking. Pool area was closed for maintenance (Mid-Sept.) but once again of a cosy size.

Convenient stop over en route, friendly staff, clean, good shower

Quiet. Excellent restaurant for dinner. Food was lovely Friendly staff

    No kettle in the room

It was not what we expected, in the middle of an industrial area. Having booked two ground rooms only one was offered, Dinner having been booked was not available as well and no close by restaurants were available. We were also informed that no staff would be on duty for the whole night. So we found other accommodation!

    Location, Pool, Food, quiet

Receptionist, a bit outdated and old

    5JeremyPosted on: 9-20-2024

Good location for us. Clean rooms, good breakfast. The restaurant was excellent. Was very popular for locals eating out.

Reception staff require improvement in customer care and skills. I thought I had turned up at a well known TV hotel in Torquay. Originally ignored by a male staff member stacking the bar (next to the reception desk) and we were opposite a member of the office staff in the office who ignored us. After a few minutes the man went to the office door and muttered “les Anglais”. After a minute another woman came out to attend to us. Not pleasant, just functional. When we went to check out at the end of our stay, the male staff member, who ignored us throughout our stay, was on reception and after joking with the French customer leaving, took our money without a smile or a pleasant word. No tea/coffee facilities in the room.Had there been an alternative I would have gone elsewhere.

Food very good, garden had comfortable seating for pre-dinner drinks.

Room rather small and lights at side of bed were falling off the wall in a dangerous manner.

    8MartinPosted on: 9-5-2024

Great location to see the Verdun war sitesRestaurant was very good with good service

Room needed an upgrade - no air con, clothes storage poor, no safe

    9JanePosted on: 8-28-2024

    The garden and restaurant.

It was next to a trading estate.

    8HarryPosted on: 8-20-2024

Good restaurant, friendly staff, nice pool

Small room, location in industrial zone

    5London1951Posted on: 8-19-2024

Parking convenient.Decent and good value restaurant meal.

The location was in an industrial site. The room and bathroom were TINY. Initially, we were told restaurant couldn't accommodate us (we arrived at 19.00 and I had messaged, via booking.com that we wanted an evening meal). But when we made a fuss they told us to come for 'second sitting' at 8.30 and we had a decent meal

Good position for visit Champ de bataille , but otside city

No air conditon and in the evening people stay outside and drink.. talk. So you can't sleep with widows shut because is hot and with windows open because noise

The pool, the garden, and the overall atmosphere are great. The staff is helpful and friendly and the restaurant is also great. The rooms were comfortable and clean.

It's a bit far from the downtown, but at the same time, it helps to relax and makes it a good starting point to visit the different WW1 memorials in the area.
