    • Everything about our stay at Istron Bay Hotel was exceptional! From the moment we arrived we were treated as welcome guests and not just clients. Odesseas, in particular, was friendly and engaging and helped make our week at Istron Bay Hotel magical! He makes us want to book another visit next year! The food is incredible, I HIGHLY recommend choosing the breakfast and dinner option. The views are stunning, the rooms are beautiful and clean, the bed was comfortable. You won’t be disappointed!
    • Dream Vacation at Istron Bay Hotel! We had an amazing holiday as a couple with our baby at this magical hotel, and there’s no doubt we’ll be happy to return! The hotel is perfectly located with breathtaking views of a private bay – every morning started with stunning sunrises and ended with peaceful sunsets. The rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable, with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The pool is fantastic – clean, well-maintained, and suitable even for little ones. There’s also easy access to a quiet, private beach, which made our vacation even more special.Breakfast was fresh, varied, and delicious – the perfect way to start the day.The entire staff was wonderful – kind, helpful, always with a smile, and truly made us feel welcome and cared for.Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful, high-quality, and romantic getaway – even with young children.Thank you to the Istron Bay Hotel team for an unforgettable experience! ?
    • The beach is beautifull but can be a bit crowded at time. From my lodging, it was facing the sea but we could not really see it. I believed i had booked a room with view on sea. The hotel was also overbooked in that period so they did what they could, i guess. The pool, the breakfast and the staff were great. I recommend the massage. among the best I have ever had!

    Cons -

    • My room was rather under furnished compared with its description
    • Needed a car, which we hadn’t realised so but stuck as buses were once an hour. Also we were bed and breakfast but the alternative restaurant shut for two nights when they did a grand buffet for all inclusive which meant we had a long walk to find a restaurant
    • This hotel is advertised as 5 stars hotel. Just forget it and try to avoid this hotel! Beach was excellent, but, only depending on the wind direction. So much plastic garbage was brought to the bay in few of the days. The Hotel is not maintained at a very low 5* hotel level. There were lot of ants in the kitchen during the breakfast, in the rooms in the bathrooms everywhere! We have informed the reception and they have asked us whether we had some cooThe rooms and the bathroom were not cleaned properly. The hotel needs a renovation. In the bathroom not only no ammenties, but instead of having the modern option with liquid soap, they had some of the old small soaps that they didnt even find for necessary to refill or to exchange when required. We have decided to go for the halb pension option. The dinner was quite reach, but the quality was not good. They should rather concentrate on few things, but greater quality. Also the A la carte restaurant at the Beach didnt offer a good quality food. We ended up driving to Agios Nicolaus and pay extra, but to enjoy a good greek quality food. On the was to the beach, there is a horrible smell, which is really not acceptable. The Problem is well known and the Management has to do something about it. Finally, there is no WIFI in the rooms, only on the balcony and at the beach. So, this is nowdays difficult to imagine 5* hotel would save money on WIFI and not assure this is provided properly.

Lovely, spacious room with terrace and great view. Very friendly staff. Big choice of food at the buffet. Large pool.

The Wifi in our room never worked. We had to go to the restaurant or reception to get on line.

The rich and varied breakfast selection was a great start to the day, A spacious and clean room, enhanced by a balcony with a pool and sea view, created the perfect environment to relax and enjoy wine. The hotel is located in a secluded cove with breathtaking views, a manicured garden and a romantic beach walk that offers privacy and tranquility. A clean and beautiful beach that is not overcrowded allows you to enjoy your time by the sea without distractions. I would recommend it to everyone as it is truly a great choice that will not disappoint.

Angelos in the bar made every evening a very friendly experience - always smiling and cheerful - he is a great asset to your hotelThe staff on reception were always extremely friendly and helpful.

The older gentleman who was running the beach side restaurant in the evening was quite unfriendly to me when I went to look at the restaurant on my first evening - as a result I never went back and I never ate there.I was travelling on my own - all the other guests were couples or families, and he seemed to be perfectly nice in the way he behaved towards them.

The position in a nice bay is the only positive aspect of this creepy resort. However, with a little bit of wind or rough sea, even this becomes a negative point as you end up with microplastic and rubbish floating everywhere.

Everything. You get into this creepy place and you feel like you’re in a dirty motel back in the 80s. Two receptionists like horror movie characters take your credit card details (including secret code) on the sticky desk, everything handwritten, no computer. When you try to get to your room, you realize there’s no airco in the structure, so you wonder if that’s really the elevator, or rather the kitchen hoven. Nice attempt to cover the pungent mold smell with cheap deodoriser in the shared areas and rooms. We got over all that and tried to enjoy our short stay anyways. Luckily, guests are really selected here. You have the Italians and French playing olympic games in the cloudy and unattended swimming pool, a real land of freedom where you can do whatever you feel more appropriate to effectively spoil the stay of those stupid folks who thought they could relax. Let’s go to the beach then, to find out the Russians took possession of the few sunbeds. Pretty much what happens at breakfast with tables, where you will enjoy the best Cretean food, probably leftover from the island’s jail. After all, it’s a 5* resort…

    The views

Short of kitchen staff, I had to ask to fill up food and cued for long time. Bed cover was dirty and I had to ask housekeeping to replace. The room was very basic, not even coffee facilities

Excellent view, very comfortable access to nice beach, tasty food, taverna by the beach, big pool, easy parking, nice bar with music

Bit dated hotel. Air-conditioning did not work properly, weak Internet, too soft beds, pool beds and chairs could be modernisedOverpriced water at dinner

This was our third stay at Istron Bay Hotel, and it continues to impress.Perfect location - Nestled by a stunning bay, elevated over sea level, and surrounded by lush green areas.Beach access - Direct access to the beach for hotel guests.Inclusive amenities - Complimentary sunbeds and umbrellas.Magical sea view in ALL rooms - Wake up to the soothing sounds of waves every morning.Large swimming pool - Spacious and well-maintained.Not crowded - Enjoy a peaceful environment.Relaxing ambiance - The atmosphere is serene and perfect for unwinding.

A few things to note that may be an issue for some travelers, though they were not an issue for us at all:Building - The hotel is beautiful, but it has a slightly outdated feel, reflecting its peak from decades ago.Limited nearby amenities - The nearest villages (Istron, Kalo Chorio) are a 15-minute walk with a few tavernas and local small shops. A nearest town Agios Nikolaos is a 15-minute drive away.Food quality - Breakfast and dinner are nice, but may not meet the expectations of those seeking very high culinary standards.

Gorgeous location, helpful and friendly staff, good amenities.

Rooms and facilities a little tired.

Istron Bay Hotel is ideally located in the picturesque Mirabello Bay, offering breathtaking panoramic views and a serene escape with complete privacy. The hotel staff are exceptionally warm and friendly, always eager to ensure a pleasant stay. The beach restaurant is a standout, providing a nice atmosphere with attentive and friendly service, making dining a delightful experience. Despite some areas needing improvement, the charm and hospitality of the staff make Istron Bay Hotel a welcoming refuge.

Tthe beach itself, while beautifully located, is quite small and could benefit from a thorough clean. The existing sunbeds are worn and need replacing, detracting from the beach experience. Regular maintenance and new sunbeds would greatly enhance this stunning location. The hotel, despite its charming appearance with white walls and vibrant bougainvillea, shows signs of age. A comprehensive refurbishment is needed to restore its former glory. The rooms, restaurants, gardens, bar, and pool could use modern updates and renovations to improve the overall guest experience.

Positives:Room and view Pool area and private beachStaff

Negatives:Reception and common areas, need to be upgraded to modern standards.Dinner buffet, low food quality.

Very friendly staff, spacious room, private beach, restaurant was good although expensive.

A/C not performing properly, no internet connection in the rooms, rooms dusty on places, private beach not properly cleaned, the rooms did not meet expectations to what we saw in the pictures when booking!

A very good hotel, what I liked most was the bay itself, both restaurants and the very professional staff, responsive and quickly helping to satisfy all your needs. Special thanks to the manager Brokos Manolis, all the Marias and the team of animator-athletes led by the fantastic Danilo! :-)

I would advise changing the umbrellas on the beach, they are old and transparent, the sun lets through them. There was also sometimes dust on the floor in the room even after cleaning
