    Pros +

    • This hotel stay was top notch luxury! Location great which is right down the street from the local port to take boating excursions. Absolutely the BEST breakfast spread in all of Greece! It's huge! Swimming pools are just fantastic. I didn't find one thing that I disagreed with. Great stay!
    • The bathroom amenities were excellent - the hotel provided quality bath robes and bathroom facilities that made the stay comfortable. The view from the room was stunning
    • Great buffet breakfast with lots of choice including local dishes, Mimosa and Prosecco. Rooms have good design and parking is convenient. The location is very close to the town centre and there are lots of amazing food options nearby.

    Cons -

    • I wish I had more time to stay. After a vacation to six countries and a lot of it was in Greece, I had to move on to Istanbul, but I will definitely be returning here!
    • My main concern was the lack of privacy. Despite the impressive views, the room setup didn’t offer enough privacy, which made the stay less comfortable than it could have been
    • We had sea view rooms with plunge pool on the 6th floor, and apparently the shared pool and umbrellas outside interrupted part of the view. I’d imagine the ones on higher floors would have better views but unfortunately they were fully booked on the day I arrived.

The room with the sea view, pool, breakfast was amazing and diversity of food and drinks are good.

They have a “gym” which is a room with 3-4 machines that contains water inside of them and that’s how you resist training , no dumbbells. Also I wish my room would be a little bit cleaner but maybe it’s just my standards idk.

We had a great stay, breakfast was very good with large variety. the hotel is within a short walking distance from city center, the staff is very kind and helped us with every request we had. We would definitely come again

Nothing. We never stayed at NIKO, as the hotel refused to host us upon arrival.

We booked 5 nights, but at check-in we were told the rooms had water damage and they could not host us. They only informed us at the desk, not in advance. We were moved to another hotel (InterContinental) without choice. Booking.com was never updated, so it still shows as if we stayed at Niko. Very unprofessional and unpleasant.

Location is great!Staff are nice but need more training

It is funny to say that there’s a beach to the hotel! It’s just a tiny concrete space with sun beds on it.The pool on the 5th floor has a great view but very crowded, you go at 7 am and find all the sun beds reserved!

a summary of my complaint which is still unresponded to: 1. They state “direct beach access” however there’s many steep steps to climb up and down and the beach itself is full of pebbles and big rocks. This is not a direct beach access hotel and their listing is a misrepresentation. Please be mindful if you are looking for a beach hotel then this is not the place for you. Their listing states direct beach access but there is nothing direct about having to climb up and down a steep set of stone steps. 2. I told that rooftop pool on 9th floor is closed and then later I asked again and they said it’s open but rooftop bar is closed. They thought it was amusing to mess guests around like this especially a guest who has an injured foot and cannot easily go to 9th floor to go and check whether the pool is open or not. There was conflicting advise about whether it was open or not and on their listing they state it as open. So be mindful if booking this hotel as they dont really know how to answer questions properly in plain english. 3) It took 24 hours for general manager to meet me only to speak rudely with me and then walk off without even asking about my problems or talking about my complaint. I did not consider this normal behaviour of a general manager of a five star hotel and after having stayed in 5 stars around the world, i can safely say I did not even think of this hotel as even a 2 star. A GM helps guests to make the feel comfortable, This GM did the total opposite.

    1) Rude front desk staff 2) GM did not want me to talk to her in reception and asked me to go to bar area with her, but when i said i cannot move that easily and i prefer sitting i reception, she accused me of lying about my foot. I had a bandage as i severely sprained my foot and not sure why she said i was lying about it. Who in their right mind would accuse a guest of lying about a foot sprain especially when they have a bandage and can barely walk. little do they know i am on crutches since i visited a UK hospital. For her to tell me i was lying about my foot injury, I have no comments other than for anyone looking for 1 star service in a 5 star hotel then this is definitely your place. 3) nobody in this hotel attempted to help me with my complaint in the two days i stayed there - they all knew on front desk that i had complaints and yet not even one of them dealt with it. Instead they treated me in a very poor manner and i will be taking this up further with booking.com. It is the first hotel in my life i stayed where there is such ill treatment from its staff. overall. I hope they read this review and realise their mistake because only then can they attempt to improve their service, However If they could not even apologise to me even once or attempt to help me then i doubt they will even care about this review. I called booking.com 15 times during 2 days who were trying to contact the property with no luck. I messaged this property 10 times in 2 days during my stay and with no response. God bless a hotel which thinks it can be successful without care for its guests. I will never stay in a mcgallery or accor hotel ever again in my life. It is far better to stay in a boutique hotel (there are hundreds in crete), than in a chain which has no regard for its guests. The food was really awful (by Greek standards) and by far the worse staff was those on front desk. I do not recommend staying in this hotel unless you want to be treated poorly.

Great hotel at the sea front. The infinity pool is the main jewel. Great view from rooms pool and restaurant

    9RichardPosted on: 4-17-2025

Exceptional breakfast in a beautiful location on the 5th floor with a superb view of the sea and distant mountains

Excellent hotel, amazing pool, amazing service, great location, excellent food. The wifi reception could be improved and the beach is not amazing. The water in the pool was very cold. Highly recommended hotel

    10CarmelPosted on: 4-14-2025

The hotel staff was helpful, helped immediately with any request. The view from the room was wonderful. The breakfast was rich and tasty. The bed is very comfortable

The shower is transparent and separate from the toilet and it didn't suit us

    10CharlesPosted on: 4-13-2025

Very clean and well maintained. Amazing views of the surroundings and the plunge pool is great.

The food they make themselves was amazing but the non-greek food was not good. For example the burger and pizza...

    8DeborahPosted on: 11-14-2024

Everything was pretty great. Room was comfortable - would be nice to have two chairs instead of 1....Breakfast was exceptional - lots of choices and good quality. Plunge pool was lovely but too cold to use....Spa was excellent!

Shower needs a sliding door - the water just goes all over the floor...

Excellent location, spotless and well-equipped, with a warm and welcoming staff.

It was a great experience, the staff was lovely and answered any request we had. There's a private beach right across the street which is very nice and the sea view was just amazing to wake up with.

The view and property was beautiful!

We were upgraded to a room that had plunge pool. Our friend’s plunge pool heated, we asked three times about the temperature in the plunge pool in our room and were told three different stories as to why it wasn’t working. The maintenance guy came up and turned the thermostat on, and the last day before we left the plunge pool finally warmed. So we didn’t get to enjoy it. Everything it was great.
