Victoria Hotel

Within walking distance of center Agios Nikolaos and a stone's throw from the (rocky) beach and sea-facing promenade. Free street parking was plentiful and secure. Room was average size, but very comfortable with refrigerator and perfectly functioning air conditioning. The host was very helpful with local suggestions; held our bags before check-in; and we were pleasantly surprised to find complimentary chocolate treats in our fridge. Felt right at home.

Absolutely loved it! Amazing location and view from room, lovely charming room, wonderful and helpful hosts, walking distance to everything! Fantastic stay, highly recommend!

Location is great. Just next to the beach, supermarket and bakery. Town centar is 10 min walk. When you book a room ask for a room with a sea view. It has excellent view. Be aware that town is on the hill and this location (and this street) is on the sea level.

Due to the structure and materials of the building sound carried a lot. The hallways carried noise throught out the building and into rooms. Also, there were unexplainable amount of mosquitoes. Every morning I woke up with more & more bites. I have been on Crete for a month and it hasn't been like that anywhere else. I had to take allergy pills to deal with all the bites. Most nights I slept with the doors closed ...and that didn't seem to help. It was like they were coming from inside the room.

Excellent location within an easy stroll into the main town centre and local beaches. The room was good value for money. The owner was brilliant, so helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Would really recommend.

Parking could be a little difficult at times due to limited spaces on the road. No fault of the hotel, but just something to bear in mind if hiring a car.

Everything was fine

Brilliant location at the water front and very close to local beach with good facilities. 10 minute walk into town.Beautifully clean and well maintained. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is authentically Greek and quite old which we loved. Updating it too much would have spoilt the whole ambiance. Lots of stairs. Our room was situated on the top floor with balcony giving excellent views across the bay.

A lift and the option of breakfast would have been nice, although we did get plenty of needed exercise up and down the stairs.

5 minute walk to the city center. Friendly owners. Value for money price.

We loved everything about this hotel. It was in a great location, close to restaurants, within walking distance to the town and the beach and best of all, had stunning views from our balcony. The staff were super nice and very accommodating. I would definitely come back to this hotel!

The location is amazing, on the beach and close to the centre. The staff was friendly and helpful. They clean every day so the hotel always smells amazing!

It started with the warm welcome we had when we arrived.Very quick we noticed that hospitality was a number one priority. More then that, you can see and smell how clean everything is. That makes a big difference in would say. The staff is super friendly and helpful. At the start we asked quite some questions. But nothing was to much.We had a fantastic stay

Stavros and Victoria keep the hotel spotlessly clean. They cannot do enough for you. We spoke to fellow guests who told us that they go back to the Victoria Hotel year after year. Definitely a hotel to recommend.

Nothing to dislike

The area is outside of the too touristic center, which for me was perfect, and relatively close to the bus station. It is located just in front of the beach, with a supermarket a few meters away. The personnel is genuinely friendly and helpful. There is a balcony with a table and chairs, an air conditioner, and a small fridge.

It has a perfect location. Everything is very clean and the host is very kind.

We would have liked if there was a small stove in the room, but since it wasn't mentioned in the description, we didn't even expect it.

I liked the helpfulness of the staff, cleanliness of the hotel (it was smelling fresh lemon all the time), and of course location. It was literally 2 min walk from Ammoudi beach.

The only disadvantage was there were too many mosquitos. I wish they would have a mosquito net in the balcony door

This small hotel generally met my expectations. The cleanliness was commendable, with daily thorough cleaning of the rooms. The environment was quiet as promised and everything was as described. Our hosts were friendly and their hospitality was notable. The only slight issue was the tricky hot water adjustment in the shower. Overall, a great experience.

Stavros and Victoria were incredibly hospitable, and their hotel is just minutes away from local tavernas and a beautiful 15 min walk into Agios Nikolas. Also, just a 10 min walk to the bus stop.. where you can access beautiful beaches for 2 euros. Voulisma and Amoudara, I would really recommend ? The hotel itself is so quaint! Our rooms were cleaned every day. It was such a pleasure to stay there, and the beds were so comfortable. Such a gem!

Useful hints received from Gavros about what to explore in Lasithi region. Supermarket just near hotel. Excelent communication with the staff. Strongly recommend Hotel Victoria.
