The villa was incredible, amazing view, Very friendly and attentive staff. Excellent Breakfast buffet and dining was top level

Despina made our trip to Crete and the Gulf villas the most memorable part of our Greece vacation. She went out of her way to make sure we were well taken care of. Most beautiful views and wonderful stay!

Wonderful staff. Great views from the villas. Very good food, especially breakfasts.

The cushions on the lounge chairs need to be changed. Very stained and gross. Not a good beach affiliated with property.

Everything was amazing,also the location and the view! At the reception especially Despina and Louise were so kind and helpful, we will be back for sure!

Everyone working at the hotel was amazingly helpful and kind. Food was very good, pool is very conducive to young kids. Property size is very nice to see people often without ever feeling crowded. Rooms are amazing. Overall one of my best hotels experiences.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel in Elounda, a quiet and charming village. The hotel is set on a hill and has amazing views, which we enjoyed every day.It’s the perfect place if you’re looking for peace, relaxation, and a touch of luxury. Our villa had a private pool, and our 10-month-old baby, had the best time splashing around and enjoying the sunshineWhat made the experience even more special was the staff. Everyone was warm and welcoming, but we have to give a special thanks to Despina, who went out of her way to make our little one feel loved and cared for.Dinner was always delicious and well prepared — we just wished there were a few more options to choose from.

Great location, stunning hotel with great views from the room as it is on a hill. Great food, staff really friendly, as well at the hotel manager. Their private beach was lovely, the clubcar was a good and easy option for getting round the steep hotel. The spa therapist was lovely and was amazing at massage! The free 25min massage was amazing.

Beautiful villa with huge private pool with an (awesome) view! The room is super spacious, has its own kitchen, Sauna and Gym. Perfect place to relax in Elounda!

We were there pre-season and some things felt like pre-season. A little more focus on the upkeep would be great!

Location was great.

The villa had a serious issue with cleaning. For instance the floor has not been cleaned before and while we were there, despite our demands.

Very kind and professional staff, wanting to go the extra leg to offer best service. The facilities are great. Room had a superb view. Apartment was well equipped. We also had a nice private swimming pool. Restaurant serves excellent food and is reasonably priced. Breakfast is also of good quality.

The hotel does not have direct access to the sea. But it however has a very nice private beach (incl beach restaurant) which is easily accessible by car or via the quick shuttle.

The pillows were a bit hard. The VAT tax on the Booking.com price was very high

The hotel is very intimate and quiet, service of the staff is excellent. Special Maria that because of her we stayed more nights and Sofia that take care of us as well.

Gorgeous 2 bed apartment, beautiful infinity pool. Fabulous staff especially Maria.

To be perfect it would be beachfront but the private beach club more than makes up for that with it's beautiful view of Spinalonga.

The service was exceptional. Maria from reception was especially welcoming and went above and beyond to help us. The pool and the view from it was amazing. The resort beach was great too. A perfect setting for a family with grown children to enjoy a good time together.

If you prefer not to eat in the hotel restaurant you must take a taxi to get to local restaurants- which were all great. The same when you want to buy groceries. But this was very minor to how much we enjoyed the resort.

Lovely location and the mini villas were very private

Nothing really, but the pool terrace was a bit sparse. But it would not put me off going back

Level of service exceptional, a consistently exemplary attitude displayed by every member of the team. Beautiful views and superb accommodation.

Only challenge was it was too hilly for my partner’s level of mobility, but the staff did everything they could to make it as easy as possible

We had a very enjoyable holiday at EGV. We stayed in a 2 bed pool villa which was very comfortable, lovely pool. The staff were very warm and helpful, arranging taxis and advising on excursions. The breakfasts were very good, champagne on 3 mornings, and the restaurant staff friendly and efficient. The hotel is on a steep hill so certainly worked off the breakfast by walking back to the villa ( there are golf buggies available if required). The beach club at Plaka was very tranquil and great food served there. Plenty of restaurants within 10-15 minutes taxi ride - €10 taxi to Elounda, €16 to Aghios Nikolaos/Plaka.

We had 4 x bottles of drinking water in the fridge on arrival, but these were never replenished and there is no shop on site so you have to buy from the shop down the steep hill or go to supermarket when returning from restaurants in Elounda or Ag. Nik. We paid a reasonable price for B&B for 1st week in August 2023, however I’ve just looked on Booking.com for next year and price has increased by a WHOPPING 38.23% for the exact same dates, or 45.47% for the equivalent week (Weds-Weds). EGV has recently changed name to ‘EGV by Sandglass’ so perhaps improvements / upgrades are being planned to warrant a higher price point.
