    Pros +

    • Quality of the area, and access to sea
    • Wow wow wow. If you are looking for paradise in Crete, this is it. The service from the incredible staff at the hotel is absolutely incomparable. Everyone from the front desk and the check in process to the actual management of the hotel are absolutely wonderful. The beach wait staff is equally hardworking and wonderful. Everyone is there to greet you with a smile and do everything they can to make sure you have a wonderful vacation. Clearly there is wonderful management here and that shows. The location is beautiful and breathtaking. The service is top notch. Don't get me started on the food-- every restaurant was spectacular and each meal better than the next. A wonderful vacation!
    • Location and the staff. Everybody is very friendly and nice. ...except the manager guy at breakfast. He has a weird over-friendly style. The restaurants were very good. Housekeeping is also great!

    Cons -

    • Reception area doesn’t offer refreshments which means you can’t have a drink to see that view while waiting for a taxi to head out for dinner. Staff in the pool restaurant area didn’t speak great English so would get our order incorrect quite often. Food order taken before drinks order which seemed odd.
    • Everything was perfect.
    • Everybody is together with everybody. They have a huge land, they should give some space to someone without children. Screaming all day. That is annoying for someone who pays a lot of money for a villa... I don't quite understand the management. They want everything and everybody, but it is not organised well. No-one asked us how are we doing, what is our opinion. Actually I didn't see anybody from the management during our 7 days stay. If they spent time with the customers they would have feedback, and they could grow...! The restaurants were very good, but the Italian restaurant (I loved the restaurant itself) needs to have better, more authentic food!

Very nice location, beautiful property and very nice beach.

    Too many noisy kids.

Excellent service. Excellent spa. Heated pools. Beautiful clean sea. We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom villa which was huge. Every room with its own shower and toilet. Very nice. The view from the villa was simply gorgeous. We enjoyed the free boat rides to the restaurants at Elounda mare. The Old mill and the yacht club are above and beyond. Very good food. The six senses spa is fantastic. Wellness packages are a good deal.Overall a wonderful vacation with lots of relaxation.

The prices for food are too much, especially for Greece. The water in the villas private pool is very cold. You can heat it up for €100 per night, but keep in mind you’ll be heating up all the private pools in your row as they are connected at the bottom. A baby cot is €20 per night which also seems crazy considering the money payed for the hotel stay. Some parts of the resort seem very “old money”. I personally enjoyed the vibe, but it’s not for everyone.

Clean, friendly staff, amazing sea, nice rooms

Beach umbrella- not really protective against the sun

The staff were excellent, very friendly and courteous. The breakfast was tasty and a very nice experience, again staff were brilliant here.

Room service was very average quality and expensive, so not good value for money. The Il Borro was described as a fine dining experience, but we found it to be again, overpriced and the food was nothing special, we dined there only once during our 10 day stay. Spa treatements were also overpriced.

The service was wonderful the staff so friendly and nothing was a bother. Our suite was really special and led onto the beach. We had use of the Six Senses Spa which was amazing. The weather was not as hot or sunny as we would have liked but that’s in the lap of the gods. I would definitely recommend staying there. Helen and William Wright

the design and location were fantastic

It would have been nice to be able to walk into a village or have access to the other sister hotels, a walking path or similar. The restaurants were so expensive, rather ‘sterile’ and not as good as the authentic characterful ones in the village. As the weather was so bad we used the indoor swimming pool lots but it was a pain to have to keep asking for the sauna to be heated and no guarantee that there wouldn’t be someone else in it using your time.

All of the staff was super attentive to all of our needs. They arranged for taxi pick ups for us and gave our room special honey moon touches. The morning breakfast is simply put amazing. Great egg options, fresh fruit and pastries. Plus a beautiful view. The overall property is amazing. We want to go back already.

It was charming and calm, very friendly staff, especially Ljuba from the reception, romantic and tasty breakfast with a view, good arrangement of the bathrooms, many space for our belongings, we like our SPA visit as well

great location, beautiful beach, friendly staff

outdated room which needs refurbishment, few things broke down and needed to be repaired while we were staying at the hotel, very loud air - conditioning

Elounda Peninsula is a wonderful hotel in a majestic place. The staff members are ultra polite and ready to help, the quality and comfort of the accommodation paramount. It's not an affordable hotel by anyeans but it is certainly worth the price.

    Room really too noisy

Nice Setting in the near of Agios Nikolaos and the montagne around it. the breakfast is a dream!

cold pool even booking.com was talking about a heated pool. this was extra to pay in the hotel. unfortunately even not possible due to electronic problems.most restaurants running from the hotel are not worth the money. there has to be done something about prices and offer!

    Very nice breakfast.

It is with great regret that we get to make the following comment regarding our stay at EP. We live abroad since almost 20 years but are still Greek at heart and have also Cretan roots. We know Crete and have been almost everywhere, stayed at all the premium hotels. If you respect yourself, need holidays, need privacy and quality for what you pay then EP is not for you as it was not for us. We could hear everything from the room next door and never got to sleep properly due to non-existent isolation. And this is unacceptable. The positive note was given by members of staff who tried their best in order to find a solution. Not everybody though as they are maybe nice people, but do not know how to handle clients especially in a luxus resort.

suite, sea, beach, restaurants, spa (amazing), watersports. Everything.

    10DimitrisPosted on: 10-12-2021

I visited 3 years ago and the hotel has changed a lot after a major renovation.Elounda has many beautiful hotels but the main reason we always book the Elounda Peninsula is for the location of its suites. Where ever you are located you have totally privacy but within 2 minutes you have easy access to all facilities. Definitely recommended.

The property had something for everyone and was spotless. Rooms were amazing with your own private pool. Staff were amazing and could not fault a thing

Everything was great, no complaints and wished we stayed longer
