Hotel Speyer am Technik Museum

Since it was below freezing, the room was quite comfortable. Bathroom was fine. Breakfast was delicious. Staff was awesome.

We could definitely hear every noise from adjacent rooms. Nothing bad just annoying.

The hotel is within walking distance to the Technik Museum and to the old part of Speyer, which is convenient. There is a large parking lot available to the guests. The breakfast is nice and offers a variety of options. The lady at the reception offered us discount vouchers for the museum tickets.

There is no way the rooms we had were the announced 18 sq.m. It was difficult to squeeze our way around the bed, and when a suitcase was open on the floor, we had to jump over it if we wanted to move. There was no air conditioning, and we were on the top floor, under the roof. It was mid-August, scorching hot. The supplied fan was far too inefficient to improve the situation.

The room was quite old, with carpet and generally dated furnishings. The bed was very small, and the overall interior felt rather outdated – but everything was clean.I didn’t have breakfast, but it looked inviting. The staff were very friendly. The hotel is also connected to a campsite / motorhome area, which gives it more of a youth hostel vibe than that of a traditional hotel.

The staff were very friendly and professional; the breakfast was delicious. The location was easy to reach and there was plenty of parking available. The room was clean and comfortable.

The location is great if you would like to visit the Technikmuseum but just be aware that it's not central, i.e. in walking distance to the old town.

Nothing, for the cost it was super!

Hotel Speyer was easy to find. I needed some cash when I got there and the friendly staff was able to direct me to an ATM that I never would have found otherwise. I was also offered discount tickets to the Technik Museum next door

Nice breakfast, very accessible location

Super hot and stuffy! Our room was under the roof; there was a small AC fan but way too weak to keep up with its task. Room temperature was above 28C until 4 in the morning; terrible sleep (aka hardly any sleep at all). May be fine during cooler periods of the year, but definitely stay away during summer.

It was close to the bus stop and the breakfast was decent.

No AC, no elevator, no fridge, no coffee machine in the room, a bit basic breakfast, dated shower (but fully functional and fine)

Little more decoration in the room, at least one pic of the museum, found the pictures in hallways a bit depressing. Perhaps an info pack in the room

The room was not worth the money.Bed was not comfortable.Heater didn't work properly.Looked different from the pictures.

Great location on the museum site and 15 mins from the town centre. Very convenient.

No lifts to access rooms on upper floors. No dining facilities in the evening (but town restaurants are only 15 mins away on foot)

Close to the town yet in quiet location. Rooms comfortable and good value. Breakfast was great and service in the breakfast room very good. Ideal stopover for our trip along the Rhine river. Had designated garage for our bikes.

The receptionist wasn't very helpful when we arrived and took a long time to check us in. We were kept waiting for a long time while they sorted out the booking which appeared to be 4 rooms instead of 2. Staff the next day were very attentive and helpful.

Breakfast and location - staff at breakfast was so nice ?

Location was excellent, next to the Technical Museum and a short walk from the Cathedral and the old town. The breakfast was good, and plentiful - and the lady tending to it was wonderful, friendly and very efficient. There was plenty of parking.

The front desk staff were generally good and pleasant, but there were one or two exceptions.

The fact it is on the museum grounds, the breakfast was good.

The fact that my room was on the 2nd floor under the roof, but. . alas, someone has to stay there. The bed was comfortable !But for food you have to go into town.

Fantastic reception staff. Great spread at breakfast. Garage for bicycle. Really enjoyed only being a stroll across from museum as it meant my wife could go back to the room whilst I went round all the exhibits. Easy stroll into town.
