The staff were very friendly and the hotel very comfortable

We found the breakfast disappointing there was little variety. The rolls were supermarket bought frozen rolls, there were a few slices of slightly old bread. For the guests who came later to breakfast they had to make for with what was leftover

Outstanding location for visiting the city center. Lovely property, delicious breakfast options, comfy beds, inexpensive parking in the garage around the corner. Perfect.

I'm so pleased that I chose this hotel. It's in a lovely location close to all the attractions. My room was quiet and peaceful, all staff are friendly and polite, the breakfast selection was wonderful. I'm perfectly happy with my stay.

Nice staff and location.

Room has no AC and was exceptional hot. It was waking me up from sleeping. Opening windows was not helping and there was a lot noise from the street. I asked the staff and they know the issue, but cannot solve it, which I do not understand, why the offer such room, where temperature exceeds 30°C during the night. This is not 4 star hotel.

Modern hotel very close to major attractions. Big room, clean and comfy, helpful staff, good breakfast - highly recommended if you want to visit Speyer for a quick city break or just a travel stop, as we did.

Room was uncomfortably warm (it was not major heatwave, just a regular summer day), but we couldn't really open the windows, because they overlook the courtyard and people were sitting there late into the evening and SMOKING.

Very nice old Villa in the city center, located in a quite side road. Very well renovated and nicely equipped. Big rooms and excellent breakfast buffet. Ideal to relax and explore the old city of Speyer (walking distance) as well as nearby locations at the southern German wine street

the Residenz is centrally located , it is a quiet comfortable hotel ,our room was very clean and spacious,the breakfast buffet they offer is charming ,typical generous german country fare with local specialities set in the ancient vaulted cellar.your receptionist in the morning should treat her tooth ache and learn to read the room numbers on the cards ,

Loud by the road with the windows open (no air con) and breakfast wasn’t very weak. Breakfast staff weren’t very welcoming at all.

The Breakfast was very good, diverse and always fresh. The Waitress is very nice and brings you everything and quick, The reception lady is also helpful what ever you asked her.

The cleaning lady needed a little help to see what to do.

Room and hotel were very clean, staff was accommodating and organized. Great location in Speyer.

The rooms were smelling funny. That would have been ok though. What really put us off was the fact that one of the beds turned out to be a sofa bed with a very thin mattress. Our 13-year old daughter could not sleep on it and the staff had no alternative. "tut mir leid" was the answer we got. We were told the hotel manager had gone on holiday and we could try to reach him/her by email.

The breakfast was very good, and the environment was welcoming.

Upon entering my room it was cold, although it was quickly remedied.

Well appointed room, good bathroom, big windows and high ceilings so can cool down at night. Car park very close and a short walk from cathedral and old town.

The hotel is in a beautiful old house, but inside it is modern and very pleasant. Great location just off the high street and downtown. Our room was large and cozy with a nice bathroom. Breakfast was standard - scrambled eggs, sausages, hams, cheeses, vegetables, pastries, fruit, yogurts. Very nice and helpful staff. We forgot our phone charger and the receptionist was ready and equipped with chargers for every type of phone. We definitely recommend the hotel.

The only thing I could complain about is the slightly noisy door to the rooms. They cannot be closed quietly, which you will notice especially at night and in the morning. But this is a complete trifle.

No air condition, very hot summer the room was too warm. If we opened the window it was noisy.
