Pros +
- The location is great, walking distance from the Bus stop, from the port, and all good restaurants of the area. The staff is kind enough to pick you up from the port and bring you to the port upon your leave. The staff is quite limited, but very friendly and accommodating with any needs one might have. Our rooms were facing the pool, which was a beautiful sight to see upon leaving the room every day and was a nice place to stay if one wants to chill at the hotel for the afternoon. The rooms were clean and had good curtains that blocked the light for those of us that like to sleep in more darker rooms. For a one-month prior booking in the highest season in August- this was a very good budget friendly hotel.
- A charming guesthouse, super clean and well located. The manager Olivia was very friendly and helpful.
- The hotel manager Olivia picked me up at the ferry dock and also took me back when it was time to leave. She also provided helpful tips and recommendations on what to see and do on the island and warmly greeted me each time I came and went. The hotel is beautiful and very clean. Comfortable room with a balcony and a line for drying clothes. It is just a short walk to a lovely beach with restaurants and beach chairs. The walk into town is short as well. Very quiet and friendly island!
Cons -
- The rooms are on the older side, but still in good condition. My partner had an issue with the main door not being well screwed and at nights with the wind it would bang keeping him awake. This is a note to the owners- it is a shame that one or two people are being overworked at the hotel. Although they did an excellent job with all our needs, it is evident that the hotel is understaffed. It is a miracle that the hotel is able to run in such a smooth way.
- Not much, but no need for kitchenette.
- There are a couple of improvements that I would suggest.1. I wish I could have had a hot shower ... even first thing in the morning it was cold. I don't know if this is a general problem or just for my room; 209.2. I wish the breakfast staff could have spoken a little English, I wasn't able to make myself understood when I wanted to have my omelette in 10 mins rather than immediately, as I was eating my cereal and fruit at the time. I do appreciate that I was on a small Greek Island but even sign language didnt work ?

The hotel staff eas very helpful, room was quiet and clean.
We recently spent our summer vacation at Tilos Mare with our family, and everything was absolutely perfect from start to finish! The comfort level was exceptional – the rooms were cozy, well-maintained, and provided everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We felt completely at home throughout our visit. In terms of value for money, it exceeded our expectations. The amenities, cleanliness, and overall quality of the hotel made it an excellent choice for a family holiday. We truly felt we got more than what we paid for.The location is ideal – peaceful, beautiful surroundings and just a short walk to the beach and local shops. It offered the perfect balance of relaxation and convenience. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always available to help with anything we needed. Their hospitality made our experience even more enjoyable. The facilities were great – clean, modern, and well taken care of. Whether relaxing by the pool or enjoying a meal, everything was top-notch.The cleanliness of the hotel was also impressive. Every area was spotless and hygienically maintained, which added to our peace of mind.We rate our stay a full 10/10 – truly exceptional! Tilos Mare gave us one of the best family vacations we’ve ever had, and we’ll definitely return for our next summer vacation. Highly recommended!
Very nice hotel with friendly staff and helpful owner. Room had a partial sea view, was very clean and comfortable. We will come back again.
Fantastic hotel offering great price/quality,. If you have a ground floor room, you’ll hop straight into the pool. Some friendly cats around.
Lovely friendly staff. Great location. Very relaxed and quiet. Fantastic value for money. Breakfast worth adding on.
Not much, but no need for kitchenette.
I liked everything about the hotel generally speaking.

The rooms are spacious and the hotel is clean.
Breakfast was abysmal. It's cheap at 6.50 euro but there was nothing interesting to eat , portions were disappointing and if there more than 3 guests there usually everything was gone. The omelette was poor. Cooked by the same guy who was the plumber and bell boy. Fawlty towers has nothing on this place.
The hotel rooms are decorated really well. Lovely tones and quality furnishings. The bed also was one of the most comfortable of our trip. Rooms were cleaned well every day. Olivia was helpful with any request we had and made the stay very enjoyable.
Wifi in our room was slow though worked fine on balcony and in all public areas. It might have just been the location of our room
This was a great place to spend a few days enjoying Tilos. Had everything we needed and the staff team led by Olivia were very helpful and friendly. The lift to and from the port was greatly appreciated
Location Pick up and drop off Cook - he was helpful Cheap
Very tired and needed a refurb It was like staying in a youth hostel rather than a hotel Lock on bedroom door broke twice and you couldn’t lock door from inside No information on the island at reception Olivia was great during pick up and drop off and then was absent and ignored you the rest of the time
Friendly and helpful staff. Clean facilities. Strong WiFi.
We received excellent service from Olivia, who picked us up from the port on arrival and took us back on departure. We were a little disappointed with the room we were were given on arrival, only because the view was restricted by an adjacent property. Had we just booked for a couple of nights we would have accepted it because everything else was fine. However, as we had booked 9 nights we really wanted something better. Olivia said it might be difficult to move us because the hotel was almost full but promised to try. Just a few minutes later she came up with an offer. We could move immediately to a larger room for 4 nights at no extra charge if we agreed to upgrade to one of their best rooms on the first floor, with mountain views for the remaining 5 nights. We were shown the room and it was just what we had wanted. After that, we enjoyed both rooms and had a wonderful time there. It was a lesson learned. We really should have booked the best room in the first place! The cost was considerable more but it was worth it. We initially just booked one breakfast so that we could decide whether or not it was good value. It was exceptional value so we booked breakfasts for the whole stay.
The only thing really was that the implements and pots for the kitchen were somewhat quirky! There was a huge saucepan but not a small one for example. It wouldn't have been easy to prepare any cooked meal. It didn't really bother us because the breakfast was so good and we wanted to eat out. I'm sure if we had asked something would have been done to improve things but it isn't what would be expected. I would suggest that the the descriptions of the rooms should be amended to highlight the differences between the room types.
It was clean attractive and convenient. The staff were exceptionally kind and attentive.
Short walk to village square, good location
Access into swimming pool and no kettle in the room
Friendly staff. Good location. Comfortable clean rooms.
Sun loungers are stained .
Olivia was lovely and could not do enough for you. Picked us up at the port and offered to take us back to the port.
The rooms needed updating. The bathroom was a bit dirty looking.
